It has alienated all the small sellers who provided value and variety. It has turned into a glorified shopping mall with little of real interest and is full of chinese made junk. The best way any small seller can sell is to ignore ebay who will do it no favours and start their own site.
Ebay is now no longer the automatic site of choice for buyers.
I have rented several textbooks through Half.com, simply because they are usually the cheapest. However, EVERY single time, the return label is not available when it comes time to return the item. I will email them several times, oftentimes taking a week or more to respond (with an unhelpful response at that). In the meantime, half.com sends me emails every day informing me that my rental is overdue.
Not to mention, that if you try to contact a customer service representative through the phone, they will talk to you for thirty minutes before informing you there is nothing they can do since they are Ebay employees and apparently Half.com has no customer service representatives of their own. The service is awful and not worth the few extra bucks saved, in my opinion.
Ebay used to be the best place to buy and sell on the internet. In the last few years it has gone downhill for both sellers and buyers as well.
Ebay's rules and philosophy that they can run the business better than the seller is causing good sellers to leave in droves. With their restrictions and high fees it is almost impossible to make a profit as a seller on Ebay anymore. They are kicking out all the small sellers with collectible and one of a kind items and promoting the large sellers specifically those from China with cheap imitation goods.
The buyers are having a hard time on Ebay as well as most of the older more experienced sellers are either moving on or diversifying and putting all their good items elsewhere. Ebay has become the yard sale place and the place of inferior quality cheap Chinese goods. Not only that but buyers have to contend with new sellers taking the place of the older experienced ones and they do not have the experience to run a great customer oriented business.
What used to be a great place to buy and sell is now a shell of it's former self and is losing ground everyday. It has become nothing but a yard sale.
I have only used this site to purchase and have been pleased! Sustainability is key (Hint: The more great coupon codes are provided, the more I will be inclined to purchase there)
I ordered so much stuff from this website and received them all within a week. I love this site!
Bought 1000S OF DOOLLARS FROM EBAY OVERSEAS SELLERS ARE HIT OR MISS EBAY DOES NOT HELP AS MUCH AS STATED AND SINCE THEY ARE TIED IN TO PAYPAL PAY PAL HAS BECOME MORE DIFFICULT TO RESOLVE ISSUES STILL THE BEST PLACE TO SHOP BESIDES AMAZON
I buy from Twice a lot. A LOT. Love shopping a consignment store from my laptop! I haven't sold anything but I would rather deal with a local place, but for purchasing, I have loved it. Items come in, and they are in better condition than expected. Sizing blunders is my own fault, different clothing manufacturers have different sizing, so go by what twice has measured. It's not difficult to take your own measurements or measure a garment that you know fits. It's scary that they now have shoes. Oh no. There goes my credit card...
This tale began on a snowy december 28,2014. I ordered shoes from e-fashion365 on ebay.com
When I ordered my lovely pink shoes with the equally lovely bow on the top I envisioned myself skipping down my street with the prettiest shoes ever. That is when my nightmare began. After waiting the allotted time for delivery, I started the daily where is my package waiting game. Everyday I would wait in vain for my lovely shoes. But sadly they never appeared at my door. If you can imagine my teenage dreams going up in a hale of tears. Fast forward to today I have no shoes and no refund that I requested. They lied and told me that they returned my money but they did not. So dear readers if you don't want to end up like me please do not order from these people or you too will have a twisted tale to tell.
I am a blogger. Often I am asked to review new trends. I got wind of Twice and decided to give them a whirl. I ordered a few items and got them quickly. Once I approved of the website, I sample blogged it. Meaning I posted it to my blog for an hour, telling my readers to give them a try and come back with their own reviews. About 30 people signed up ( probably more) in that timeframe.
I received mixed reviews about them. The number one complaint was negative employee interactions- as in, poor customer service and relations.
Now on to my own review. After a day or two, I noticed that all the referral credits I had earned from my blog (after my initial purchase) were missing. I contacted them to inform them.
After much runaround, it turns out my next door neighbor also used Twice, and because we have similar addresses, all of our credits were taken.
I sent Twice many emails, as did my neighbor. I included pictures of our licenses and even our doors with the addresses clearly labeled. They insisted that they could not return my money they had taken.
I asked to speak to managers, left messages and countless calls to no avail. They acknowledged their mistake but still refused to correct it.
I recently contacted them again hoping for a better response. Not only did they refuse to return the money again, but now their excuse was that three months had gone by and I must've been okay with them keeping my money because time had past since my last complaint about it. They also attempt to call my by my neighbors name, as if to say I'm not a real person. You can't make this bad service up.
I look forward to the day it closes up shop. We will laugh and point fingers and say "Hey douchebags! You should have had better customer service!"
Purchased an att Motorola moto x, when received its a Verizon phone! Now I have been on hold for 2 hours! This is crazy!
I was so thrilled to find a lululemon jacket on Twice it was amazing. The next day I got a refund back on it stating it was damaged and pulled from my order. There is no way it was damaged someone at Twice decided they wanted the jacket i'm sure. It made me so mad I don't want to shop on there anymore and I really loved Twice up until now.
Had bought over 1000 products from ebay and i am very happy with doing business through ebay
That site let me choose the things all around the world and somethimes i can get them from close to me places. They have great rules too.
I have been scammed and cheated. I have been charged twice for a return. They won't even let me see what the charges are. I am willing to pay the whole amount I owe, but want to see the list of what i am being charged for an d Ebay won't let me. Bummer!
Not a big fan of this site but I've purchased a few things on ebay.com, I have had great experiences and have saved alot of money
Much of what the other reviews have stated are true. I sent 20 items, and just as the reviewers below had done, I inspected for wear, staining, etc. I sent FIVE items never worn--still had tags; I removed tags from the other two.
To be clear, I decided to send/sell to TWICE even after reading reviews. I was not expecting $100s back. Neither should you. The site is in the business of selling your items, not repricing them for highest dollar amount. One should clearly understand this rule, and know that anything Twice deems "unacceptable" is for that reason and not for any other (that or they're keeping the items themselves to wear).
That being written, the reason I do agree with the other reviewers below is that the site DOES bamboozle you. The never worn items (see top of review for reference)--a Banana Republic dress with the tag on it, two Gap dress blouses, and two pairs of never worn Michael Kors pants (tag removed)-- we unaccepted because of "wear".
I wanted to believe differently about this site and its practices, but it seems they aren't what they'd like to think they are, but are what others say they are.
Overall, I made a tidy some for the 12 out of 20 items that were accepted, which is better than the no dollars I was going to get donated. Seller-bewear--ONLY send in what you think you can't get top dollar for elsewhere and that which you wouldn't mind getting less for.
Would not recommend as a constant place to sell.
I went looking on youtube for something that could take my pictures and games and videos and movies and put all this on my Samsung smart 55" tv. I went to Microsoft and they had a piece of electronics that plugged into the back of your tv, but it did not work because I had no software for this item. So, on youtube I saw video about this Ezcast that did the same thing that I wanted and sure enuff it gave me my movies and pics and videos and the rest and it only cost me $21.00 and change. It works on my laptop and my tablet and my cellphone and all the other devices I have in the house, it all works off of the wifi. It is so easy to setup and run really, you can not beat the price. I did not know the item was coming from China until after the fact but I received the item quickly and all is working just great. I love how I can put the movies from my items right onto the tv. Love it. Try it. Let me know how you enjoy it.
I sent them 19 items to sell. They made me an offer for four of them, which I accepted -- although it was a pretty low offer. Since they weren't interested in 15 of the items, I planned to try eBay or donate them to a charity. However, they claim to have disposed of those items which they did not purchase and which therefore did not belong to them. What gives them the right to do anything with your personal property? I cannot believe they do not tell you this before you send them merchandise and that they don't provide you with an option. I truly feel like I've been ripped off.
Y is no longer what EBay used to be.
All the "mambo jambo"... rules only protect EBay... and the sellers that only advertise brand new items... you are way better off dealing with Amazon or other internet based site.
It is no longer fun... the buyers can blackmail you after receiving an item, asking for a "partial refund", and if you not agree... he/she can leave a negative feeback, and you have no say...
An if you call EBay, the answer is... nothing we can do, just try to work it out with the buyer... ridiculous just ridiculous.
Sent in 13 items and they rejected most saying that the items were stained. We inspected all the items thoroughly before sending. Maybe one was stained. Maybe!. $30.00 credit... Really? Most of our items were Polo! Scammers! Stick with your local resale shops!
Answer: I would never buy a used car without seeing it in person and having it checked out.
Answer: Ebay is a den of thieves. Even Ebay is evasive on complaints to answers. When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!
Answer: For their own purposes and to protect dishonest sellers. I was once an avid EBay shopper, but now avoid EBay. Buyer protection no longer exists. You buy at your own risk.
Answer: Ebay sells nothing. You are dealing with private sellers. Some are good, some are not. The best way to determine this is to check the feedback. I personally never buy from anyone who has a feedback lower than 90%. 96% is considered bad, by Ebay. Take that with a grain of salt. Ebay management is nuts.
Answer: If you haven't already learned the hard way that Ebay is just pure bullshit when it comes to the sellers rights. When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right. They will bill you the price of the label if you don't provide it. Either way, you are paying for it to get back to you. It's get better. You can't leave negative feedback for the buyer either. It's not an option NO MATTER
Answer: Not to me! It's my main shopping tool! I look for good deals and free shipping!
Answer: Yes. You are right. All what people told you are correct. Don't trust ebay and the seller on ebay. Amazon much better than them. But anyway the best way to buy electronics from the local stores or official stores.
Answer: This depends on the seller of the item - carefully check their feedback and trust you intuition if you have doubts try another seller you feel safer with...
Answer: Hi Tom, As for reviews, you don't get them. It's called feedback. When you buy an item, the seller will probably leave feedback after you leave feedback for them. I hope that answers your question. Nancy
Answer: Depends on the seller. I wouldn't buy anything off ebay because there a crappy company.
