Shopping in Ebay is too good. Good products. But returning policy is bad and talking about shipping some of the breakable products are breaked.
I've spent over 1500 dollars with eBay this past month & when a problem came up & I immediately contacted them, they had the worst customer service & where unhelpful to say the least. Long story short I never received an item that was nearly 300$ the site says they give 100% refund but that is not accurate. I'm out the whole 300$. I would have to agree with another reviewee that the IT group are very clever in making the site convoluted, confusing, circling, delaying and confusing. Which is probably why I had the issue to begin with. I would highly encourage buyers to stay away from eBay.
Everything you could want or need, and low prices too! Customer service is great also!
I sold a item on eBay and went by their prices for shipping and ended up paying more than what they said the postage was. They do not know shipping prices! Will not ever sell another item on their site. Craigslist is better no fees
Was very excited upon first selling on their platform. Easy, quick & no hassle. Lately, they have started to decline with less and less protection for sellers. I do not know how many times I have had unfair disputes opened with the outcome being very ludicrous. They cannot get policies in order which has resulted in tons of money lost for no reason.
Why I still sell here is only because of the traffic, but have slowly started taking that traffic to my personal website.
I have sent four bags of high end clothes in to Twice and have seen diminishing returns. My clothes are all designer (BCBG, French Connection, Bailey 44, Michael Stars) and I have seen my payouts decrease by 50%.
And it's hard to figure out why since they do not offer an item by item breakdown. And despite sending in NWT clothing some items have been rejected for the "mysterious" stains others note in their reviews (yet two items I have bought from them were so badly pilled I was lk wtf).
The last time I sold to them-I received my lowball offer over memorial day weekend. I accidentally accepted it (darn phone) but sent an immediate email rejecting the offer and saying I wanted my items back (aware that I have to pay a fee). Well that was Sunday and Monday was a holiday. I hear from ** (who others have noted is sooooo snide and condescending) on Tuesday explaining that my clothes were pulled on Monday and being processed-despite my Sunday email requesting that they were not authorized to keep my clothes.
Well that was the end of it. Besides a chain of emails from the unhelpful and unsympathetic **, my clothes are gone for the ridiculously low offer.
At least thredup pretends to care that people hate them. Seems like Twice (or at least their representative **) revels in it. Here's the bad review I promised you I would post... I would not suggest anyone sell to them and buy only if you want to deal with their ridiculous refund policy.

I made my first purchase and was so excited to get it. I bought 7 pair of jeans because they are my favorite cut and the brand had discontinued it. I used the first time purchaser coupon and couldn't wait to try on my jeans hoping everything would fit well. I ordered most in my current size but even ordered a couple pair in the next size up for post baby clothes since we're planning to have kids next years and I figured a pair of my favorite jeans might make me feel good then. But they arrived and 5 out of the 7 were short lengths and it hadn't said that anywhere! I'm no skyscraper but I'm tall enough that short jeans look really silly on me. I emailed the company to let them know they had a problem in their listing system and they told me not to bother trying to return anything because my purchase had been marked as final sale! I was never warned about this prior to making my purchase.
This is totally WRONG. They labeled their items incorrectly and now won't let me return them despite advertising that they allow returns. DON'T shop here! They are just trying to rip you off!
I used to love shopping and looking for bargains on Ebay. But the it's getting harder and harder to find good bargains. Seems there are more and more people who are addicted to buying from ebay and sellers are taking advantage of these people. There was a report on tv about this and it's getting worse. We need more competition to ebay. But not these sites I saw on tv. A real bidding site like Ebay. Maybe Ebay and Amazon will end up budding heads and customers can benefit from it. I hope so.
The bird figurine i ordered came today. The box was in terrible shape but due to your careful wrapping and packing it was in great condition. It was delivered by UPS and driver stated it was caught in the conveyor belt. But I love my bird and received on date promised. Thank you so much. Looking forward to many more purchases..
I read some reviews before using them, and had a mostly positive experience with them. I sent in a bag with a few items new with tag or new without tag, with a few things I knew were not going to be accepted. The 3 new pieces did get accepted and I was paid 8 dollars for them.
I then immediately bought three items from them. One was a good quality cashmere sweater, with the 40% off first time coupon, I got it for 20+ dollars. It was in very good condition. I also bought 2 Abercrombie Fitch tops, new with tag, for 6 dollars after discount. Good value!
Since then I've been checking the site for some more cashmere sweaters and dresses. I was surprised to find that their prices have increased so much! They are selling everyday brands at 30 to 50% of their valuated price, which would be the same you pay to get new items, because these brands have year-round promotions of 40% off and not to mention sale items. Why would I ever buy used clothing if I can get new ones with the same price? I will no shop there unless they drop their prices to a reasonable range.
Buyers have all the power on Ebay. Sellers beware. And don't sell to sopheina. You will get scammed and Ebay will take her side. They just need to shut this site down. Not what it used to be. They wouldn't even get the one star if there was something less I could choose.
I had to take legal action against them as I have had similar experience as those written of below at the end when they decided to announce they are going out of business ('merging with google' they say). They stole my money and ignored 60 plus emails. I ordered, they send email saying some merch I ordered is unavailable (after charging my card) but instead of refunding correct amount they refund what they please (a percentage). Then I receive the other items totally stained, ripped and had to throw in garbage. Obviously trying to get rid of last of garbage merchandise. Also I am not ever getting my store credit back now they made sure of that. So now they will have to deal with it legally. What scumbags. I really liked them in the beginning but you don't steal money from me and ignore every single email for 2 1/2 weeks (says right on website 'we will be answering urgent emails until August 7th', but no phone or FB) Liars. Totally unethical. They will not get away with it at least not with me.
I found this and purchased a few different things over a couple of days. My first order was a very old sweater that was so faded. Second order was a pair of coach shoes that where $60 and so so fake. Worse quality than little girl dress up shoes! Third was a coach purse that was also fake had a sticker yes a sticker with the "serial" number that didn't even match this purse. Way to check every item twice! Do not order from this company
Good overall but disappointed by sellers' tendency to try to buy you off so you don't post the truth about a poor product.
I never really had to many bad transactions till lately. It seems like one after another. I did 3 charges in a week from being scammed
I'VE BEEN A SELLER FOR 17 YEARS WITH 100% FB AND HAVE SEEN THE SITE DETERIORATE SIGNIFICAN'TLY OVER THE YEARS. WHEN THEY STOPPED ALLOWING SELLERS TO GIVE NEG FEEDBACK FOR BAD BUYERS, THAT WAS THE BEGINNING OF THE END. NOW SELLERS HAVE NO IDEA WHAT KIND OF SLEEZY BUYERS ARE BIDDING ON THEIR ITEMS.
AS I SAID I'VE HAD 100% FB OVER THE YEARS. NOW I HAVE A SKANK BUYER WHO HAS BUYER'S REMORSE AND LIED ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE ITEM SHE BOUGHT FROM ME AND REPORTED THE ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED. HOWEVER I DESCRIBED EVERY ASPECT OF THE ITEM'S CONDITION WITH NUMEROUS PICS POSTED AS I ALWAYS DO. SHE DECIDED THAT SHE DIDN'T WANT IT AFTER ALL AND FILED A REQUEST TO RETURN WITH EBAY. SINCE EBAY "ENCOURAGED" ME TO REFUND HER $$ AND ALWAYS TAKES THE SIDE OF THE BUYER, I WAS AFRAID THAT THEY'D TAKE OVER AND REFUND HER $$ AND ALLOW HER TO KEEP THE $250 ITEM SO I WAS FORCED TO ACCEPT THE RETURN AND REFUND HER IN FULL WITH ORIGINAL AND RETURN SHIPPING COSTS.! SHE ALSO POSTED NEG FB WHICH BRINGS MY 100% RATING TO 96%, THE LOWEST RATING I'VE EVER RECEIVED AND IT'S ALL FRAUD.
BUT I'VE DECIDED EBAY IS NOT WORTH LOSING SLEEP OVER SO I DON'T GIVE A RAT'S $#*! WHAT RATING I GET. I WORKED DILIGENTLY TO DESCRIBE EVERY ITEM I'VE EVER LISTED COMPLETELY AND ACCURATELY AND MY SOLD ITEMS WERE SHIPPED SAME DAY OR NEXT. AND THIS IS NOW WHAT I HAVE TO SHOW FOR IT. BUT NO MORE. I'LL NOT BE BUYING OR SELLING MUCH ANYMORE AND IF ANYTHING SELLS, I'LL MAIL THEM WHEN IT'S CONVENIENT FOR ME. THERE'S NO ADVANTAGE FOR SELLERS DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT ON THIS SITE.
The fees these guys apply are outrageous.
Great site where to buy but if you are a seller, there are way better sites and places where to sell your stuff.
For the items they did accept, my offer was comparable to what I was offered at a local consignment store. However, three other new and like-new items I sent in were rejected for mysterious invisible "staining." I inspected everything before I sent it in and am sure that nothing was stained. One item was a brand new name-brand sweater that I wore one time, for an hour, before deciding it didn't fit. I suspect Twice rejects a certain number of items from each bag for fake reasons so that they don't have to pay you for them, only to keep those items and re-sell them at a later date.
I ordered a jacket from user xiaomei*******. The user assured me the item will be delivered and seeing the positive reviews I waited. But after the 90 day period got over ebay doesn't allow me to send a feedback nor contact the user.
This is absurd and ebay is a very bad option to buy anything
You need to go into sending things to likewice.com with your eyes wide open. Don't fool yourself into thinking that your used things are worth that much because if you tried to resell them yourself, you may not have as much luck. Bags and shoes, you may want to sell on tradesy or postmark. But clothes are something that are tough to resell. Only send things to liketwice.com if you would've just gave them away or donated them and gotten nothing for them. If a garment means something to you, DON'T send it in because you will be disappointed. I have had okay experiences with them because I didn't expect much and ended up getting better offers than I expected. My other advice is DON'T SEND HIGH END ITEMS.
Answer: I would never buy a used car without seeing it in person and having it checked out.
Answer: Ebay is a den of thieves. Even Ebay is evasive on complaints to answers. When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!
Answer: For their own purposes and to protect dishonest sellers. I was once an avid EBay shopper, but now avoid EBay. Buyer protection no longer exists. You buy at your own risk.
Answer: Ebay sells nothing. You are dealing with private sellers. Some are good, some are not. The best way to determine this is to check the feedback. I personally never buy from anyone who has a feedback lower than 90%. 96% is considered bad, by Ebay. Take that with a grain of salt. Ebay management is nuts.
Answer: If you haven't already learned the hard way that Ebay is just pure bullshit when it comes to the sellers rights. When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right. They will bill you the price of the label if you don't provide it. Either way, you are paying for it to get back to you. It's get better. You can't leave negative feedback for the buyer either. It's not an option NO MATTER
Answer: Not to me! It's my main shopping tool! I look for good deals and free shipping!
Answer: Yes. You are right. All what people told you are correct. Don't trust ebay and the seller on ebay. Amazon much better than them. But anyway the best way to buy electronics from the local stores or official stores.
Answer: This depends on the seller of the item - carefully check their feedback and trust you intuition if you have doubts try another seller you feel safer with...
Answer: Hi Tom, As for reviews, you don't get them. It's called feedback. When you buy an item, the seller will probably leave feedback after you leave feedback for them. I hope that answers your question. Nancy
Answer: Depends on the seller. I wouldn't buy anything off ebay because there a crappy company.
