I am not sure where the negative reviews here come from. Let me tell you my experience. After landing, I went to the waiting area at Orlando Airport for the Easirent shuttle. Their shuttle runs every half hour. I waited about 15 pleasant minutes for it and got to unwind. When I got to their facility, I was next in line. Great service. No hidden charges. New car. Half the price. Experienced and very friendly staff. When I returned the car, an employee met me at the car, checked it over and loaded me and my suitcases on the shuttle. It just could not have been any better or easier.
I am a hard person to impress. But I was completely impressed. I waited between 2 and 3 hours for the last two car rentals at Orlando by the major companies and paid twice as much. While Easirent's facilities were not brand new, seriously, who cares? They made up for it with great customer service and an appreciation for MY time. Thank you again.
From the onset of the booking I was scammed. Firstly they did not accept my credit card for the deposit saying it was a debit card but could give me a 'no deposit rate' for 3 times the booked rate. The car was filthy when I eventually got it after one hour of negotiating that my card was actually valid. On the return they found a scratch on the rim (which was there when I rented the vehicle) but because I did not have photographic proof of the prior damage, they charged me £230. I am still waiting for the return of my deposit from which they should have taken the £230 but my card was charged immediately. I was insured which originally cost me over £100 but could not claim from insurance as they said the policy did not cover this damage. Easirent is a scam company who trains their staff to scam unassuming customers. DO NOT USE EASIRENT rather use a reputable rental company.
I traveled to Tampa Bay due to my brother being in serious condition and on life-support. I initially rented the vehicle for $26.69 per day for two days. Due to my brothers condition I needed to extend the rental by two days. I was horrified to find out that they took advantage of my situation and charged me $200 per day for the two extra days I needed the vehicle. I called corporate and the rental location directly. They could care less about my situation and refused to make any adjustments on the daily charge. To top it off this location is not even at the airport, we had to drive several miles to pick up the car. We had to wait for over an hour for a vehicle because there was not one available. They also try to upsell me on insurance and a toll meter for $20 per day. When I returned the vehicle I told as many consumers as possible who were waiting for their vehicle about my experience and to be aware of the scamming. I will continue to spread the word about how terrible of a company it truly is. I would rather walk to my destinations than ever do business with this company again. I would give it to zero stars but that was not an option.
The rental office at Fort Lauderdale rented me a car for 6 days with an expired license plate. Serious
Y? What kind of business is that and how come they do not get in trouble service their clients this way? I ve tried to contact them by phone, mail, voice messages but 2 weeks late and answer from no one! Never ever rent from them!
Orrible service, 45 min before they were ready to give us the car, nobody there, to check the car for damage whit us before we leave the garage and when we return the car (12 hours before the rent expired) we check again for damage and we leave the car in same condition as we get it. After one week they charge me 283 pound for a damage on the car and when I asked for more information and pictures of the damage they didn't answer anymore. Terrible call service with no answer and when they answer they hang up the phone.
Now I understand why they got 1.1 stars on trustpilot.
Stay away from this company!
Unprofessional lots of hidden charges, car was filthy inside and out. Barely made plane because they were almost an hour late opening up so there was no one to shuttle us to the airport, pended the 250 deposit for 20 days before coming off my credit card. No one should ever go there ever if there was a zero star rating that's what they deserve
After reading some of the reviews, I was a little worried. When we got to the location, we were given an upgrade, and the service was great! We were in and out in 10 minutes. We rented at Fort Lauderdale airport and the office is actually not in the airport. Once we figured out where we had to go to catch the shuttle, it was fine. The only problem is you get dropped off afterwards and have to catch a different shuttle to go to the terminal. Still was fine, had plenty of time. I would definitely use them again!
Rented a mid-size sedan just to receive a compact car. Once I complained I was told no other cars were available. As soon as I demanded the money back they found a car. After 2 hours of back and forth I was given an Altima that was clearly involved in a fender bender, it's front bumper was secured by a zip tie. All I was told is "don't worry about the front, we marked it down". Upon returning the car I insisted on inspection while I am as there to make sure I wouldn't be charged for any pre-existing damage. Their response was " Don't worry, since the manager gave you the car, she will know you are not responsible for any damage. You should get a final invoice within 2 days". I alsoentio nd to them that I'm returning the car almost quarter tank more than I originally got, expecting them to mark it down. The representative was quick to advise that no credits will be given for gas. It's been almost 2 weeks, no invoice, just got charged $28 for got knows what. Their customer service phones don't seem to work, after keeping you on hold for 15 min and telling you how many people are in front of you, they simply disconnect.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Imagine going to a fully legit car rental business with multiple locations, and them giving you a WRECKED CAR to drive around... Yes that is exactly what happened to me. On top of that, the guy MIRZA, was rude about it. He started off nice, then when I refused the upsell on the insurance and toll tag, he switched directions, changed his attitude and then decided to give me a wrecked car! Not only that, but also NO KEY FOB, NO POWER DOORS, NO POWER WINDOWS. Just a single key to open the door with.
The hood kept unlatching as well! THAT was the last straw and I felt then it is a safety issue, so I need to get rid of this car before my wife and I get into an accident!
I tried changing it out in Miami as that is where I was staying, they said NO, unless they charge me $50 extra there AND $50 at the other location where I picked up the car! Even though it a safety issues, JESUS at the Miami location was big $#*! and didn't help at all! There was about 15 cars outside of their location, but he said he didn't have any. I told him to please do something as this is a safety issue and I do not want to DIE! Guess what he said... he said to drive slow! Worse, he said come back the next day as we could tell he didn't want to deal with it. We returned the next day to find out about the $50 bullsh** they tried to put on us.
In the end, I kept the piece of sh** car they gave me but will NEVER rent from them again. I suggest you do NOT either. They WILL treat you like crap if you refuse any of their upsells!
One star in generous, from a very long wait at the airport arrival to get picked up we arrived at tHe Hilton) their base it was a ne man show, serving a customer, taking him out
Washing the car and bring it back and then attend to. The next customer
The check in process was one hour from landing time
Dreading the car return
Never make the mistake of dealing with them
U will regret for your life if u book a rental with them. They will charge u double the amount of car after u return the car and there are hidden charges that nobody will tell u. There's no customer care to deal with.
The staff there is stupid and rude. They have no qualms about keeping people waiting for the most ridiculous reasons.
The process there is incredibly stupid. They make you sign a paper contract and then scan it. The scanner is incredibly slow and ancient because everything there is slow and ancient. The place looks like a third world office complete with dusty junk sitting around everywhere and third world lighting.
The also demand proof of insurance is you want to waive their insurance requirement but of course you don't find out until you are at the counter.
I would not even give them 1 star. This is a totally worthless zero star crap company.
The way the get you to sign on the I pad without giving you an option to opt
Out. I declined the cdw and somehow signed the supplement liability.
You have to make sure you read and ask questions
This company is horrible. Never rent from them. Horrible vehicles and they do not clean them thoroughly. Don't risk it especially during Covid. Neris was the only rep in the whole building. There were 5 customers in the building.
I had a terrible experience at the Ft. Lauderdale center. Paid in advance for a Tahoe, got a mini van. Counter sales charged me for a $122 sunpass and hid it as taxes. Would not refund my money. Vehicles are crap, company is a JOKE. Pay More at Enterprise or Hertz
Rented a mid size car through Expedia, and Easirent for what seemed to be a competitive weekly rate. We rented from the west palm beach FL location. Upon returning the car, mngt advised us that we owed 900.00 in mileage overages. Apparently with Easirent, " unlimited mileage" doesn't really mean unlimited. It's just a term they copied from other rental companies, but have no intention of honoring. They are completely criminal. To make matters worse, it dosen't appear that Expedia is going to invest any effort to review this fraud. How can a reputable company like Expedia host such a Terrible company with so many horrible reviews.
Not a person to ever give a review, however when I travel with my family and two small children and after waiting almost an hour to catch the shuttle bus that was MIA and finally arrive at this "establishment" to pickup my car ( that was booked almost a month prior) and then told by the rude $#*! women receptionist there was no cars available I was appalled. Even after showing my itinerary there No explanation except that they can't keep track of vehicles that come and go. No solution. No compassion. Thankfully Sixt rental car came through and saved the day. Beware. Business is a joke!
Do NOT rent a car from these people. They are completely dishonest and horrible to deal with. I was charged twice for insurance and can't get anyone to simply give me a refund. Their "customer service" line has no answer and same for their live chat. And their insurance was more than DOUBLE what priceline charged me. So disgusted by this experience.
I am very disappointed and regret renting from these people. I rented a minivan and upon picking up my vehicle was told that the price I paid was only for tourists and not locals, (this is FLL airport) and I must pay $50 extra for each day I will be having the vehicle. This information was NO WHERE when booking the vehicle. They are a set of sneaking thieves! They know it would be hard to find another vehicle with such short notice, especially during the holidays, and you'll be left with not much of a choice. The price advertised is never the price you pay when you go to pick up the vehicle. I should have stuck to my usual rental places like Budget and others.
This was the worst experience I have ever had with a company. From the delayed shuttle driver (over 30 min wait at airport to take me to the rental location 7 min away), the wait at the counter for my rental, the breakdown of the vehicle left me stranded on Sunday, 11/22/2020 at a restaurant at 2pm. Did I mention I flew in to see my cousin for the weekend on her final days and she died that morning at 10:22 from cancer at 53 yrs old, to the phone # that rings off the hook&no one picks up & can't leave messages to the customer service rep who didn't care if I had a vehicle replacement during my trip & kept transferring me back to the unattended phone #, to the customer service rep stating it was my fault I should have called my insurance b/c their car broke down and proceeded to yell at me and then hang up when I asked for his manager. I hope calls are recorded that was on 11/23/2020, to ringing the local Ft Myers Location Ph# 30 times for 2 days (proof) not one person answered and then customer service # -5 people in line 4 people in line down to me in line call says transferring to an agent phone rings a bunch more times at then it disconnects. This happened about 30 times-no joke. Never received a call back or follow up and had to leave the car at a location where it wouldn't start in Florida and dropped the key fob off at the Ft Meyers location drop box. Had to get a ride for my 7am flight Monday, 11/23.2020. I would never rent from this company--EVER! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
Answer: To whom it may concern, This is the complaint letter I sent to those whom I thought could help my wife and I solve an issue that we found to be Very troubling. It involved an employee at the Jacksonville Easienrt, specifically the manager named Franky. Priceline Booking Number 202-281-644-38 Easirent Reference Number 1863754 Easirent Wally Park, Jacksonville, FL airport We went to pick-up our rental on February 15th, 2020 and had all the information we were told to bring (credit card, drivers license). The young man, Franky waiting on us, informed us we needed proof of our auto insurance which we did not bring because we were not asked to bring it. When we challenged that he informed us that local rules can require them to ask for proof of insurance. We have Erie Insurance and at this time on a Saturday they are closed and not open on Sunday. The manager, Franky, said we couldn't have the car without proof of insurance. We told him we would call and give them that information on Monday and he said ok. Then he blindsided us about the in-kind coverage on our credit card which we thought we had but would check with Bank America, his response made us feel threatened and also taken advantage of. Again, none of this was mentioned on any of the documents. It was hard to understand Franky at times which only made the situation worse so my wife took over. Once again, we were told we couldn't take the car without the proof of insurance, which also was never mentioned on the paperwork. My wife explained we would call them on Monday with the information so the charges that we paid extra for, would be taken off once that information was given Franky and that would be ok. We signed off and waited for the car, which was not what we asked for. It looked like the worst one on the lot and the windows were very dirty and very hard to see out of the windows because of the stickers on the side window. On Monday, as promised., we called Erie to get the information for our insurance and also Visa to make sure we had the in-kind benefit. Both of these services were to be taken off our bill once the information was suppled. Called 1-888-901-5121 on Monday the 17th twice, once busy and 2nd time hung up on after we told them we were calling with the information they needed. Called again Tuesday the 18th and kept getting busy signals. Not only was this a terrible experience initially, but customer service once they knew why we called, decided to hang up and not answer the phone after they saw the number. Thankfully, the return went smoothly and very glad the person who waited on us was helpful. The rep at the desk upon return, Dasha, informed us that all she has to do is ask for proof, if not available then it would have been accepted, that being two adults in there 70's would have insurance.
Answer: I want someone on the phone from Easirent to explain to me why they aren't the fraud they clearly are...
Answer: They tried to charge me an extra £120 on arrival to upgrade as they'd run out of cars of the booked class. Argued and argued but they only threatened to call the police to remove me from their office. Had to pay £55 for a taxi and wasted an hour and a half.
Answer: Depends on the size but i was about £27 each for just a 2 day car hire. And i had to fit them both myself! What a company.
