Thanks to a mechinacal issue, we arrived 1,5 hrs late to PBI. We were immediately greeted with some huffing and puffing that we as well as some other group were late which was again out of our control. He then proceeded to try to separate us because she could not have a conversation with the group, told us that we now didn't have a reservation anymore in an order to get our reservation back we had to pay another $40. He also needed another $250 deposit, as well as our personal car insurance information even though it was rented through a credit card. It was a one-man show and then one man was obnoxious rude and beyond unprofessional. When we refuse to pay a late fee because again we weren't returning or a car late we were getting our car late he became ridiculously crude. We had the contract, it didn't say anything in the contract even though he kept referring to the contract. STAY AWAY! On phone with credit car company to get our money back for a car that we did not get
People please be careful with this company. I rent the car from them and I brought all documents like passport, driving license, bank statement BUT they asked about proof of address (utility bill, etc), and it MUST BE paper, although today we receive almost everything online. My booking has been cancelled and I lost money, no chance for refund because the reason was no documents. Guy on reception was rude and unhelpful. The worst experience ever! And defo I do not recommend!
We booked an Easirent car through Travelocity, we payed insurance through Travelocity and set up a pickup appointment time. When we got to the Easirent facility in Tampa Florida we had to wait 1.5 hours to be served and they made me pay insurance eventhough I already payed through Travelocity. They also made me pay for an easy pass eventhough I did not need one. I tried multiple times to contact the company only to have their local company not answer the phone or their corporate company phone service hang up on me.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Their managers are rude, corporate is even worse. They charge you for 4 different insurances and when you show them proof that you don't need theirs it is "we can't issue refunds dispute it with your card" a hassle and a bunch of nonsense. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THEM!
We were picked up immediately at the Tampa airport by a very friendly young man. When we went to get our car we found out that Priceline (do not advise renting through them) had cancelled this reservation and made a new one at Ace without notifying us. Liea, at the front desk, was so helpful. She offered to have us taken back to Ace at no charge and also gave us Ace's phone number. We quickly cancelled the other and stayed with Easirent. Liea not only got us a car but saved us $100.00! She turned a bad situation into a great one. Thank you Leah! Highly recommend.
I am not one to write reviews, but this is the worst company I have ever interacted with and I urge any potential customer to stay away—the fares appear cheap, but you will likely end up paying more (in money and hassle) in the end.
I rented a car from Edinburgh Airport. Upon collecting the car, I learned that the "full coverage" that I had purchased online was not comprehensive insurance, and I had to pay another £200 for full insurance. Next, during my trip, my car got a tire puncture. Despite having bought full insurance on the car, we were told a recovery/tow service would be an additional charge. Fortunately, a mechanic dispatched by Easirent told us it was safe to drive to the garage, so we didn't require recovery. Despite this, a few weeks later I received an unauthorized charge on my credit card for about £300, which I was told was for a recovery service we never used. After many calls to the branch and corporate offices, during which I was given the go-around by several staff members, Easirent admitted this was a mistake and said they had processed a refund. But the refund never came—after two months of escalating complaints to the highest level through the online complaint system, the best they could tell me was that my refund was in their "queue of refunds", with no estimate for when I would get my money back. Completely exasperated, I finally contested the charge with my credit card company, who helped me get my money back. The entire process took about 6 months. I don't believe that I would've ever gotten my money back from Easirent had I not taken the issue up with my credit card. From reading other reviews, it sounds like many customers have received bogus charges from Easirent and struggled to get their money back. If this happens to you—please take up the issue with your credit card company ASAP as there is a limited window for contesting charges!
In summary: Easirent is a terribly unprofessional company with abysmal customer service, hidden fees, and scammy practices—avoid them and report any issues you experience with them to the consumer rights bureau!
Upon arrival from MCO we were shuttled to the rental location I signed in and stood on line for about five minutes there was one person in front of me and the attendants had two customers they were dealing with. When Moe called me over to the counter i gave him proof of insurance license and debit card, because my insurance company is from newb jersey it wasn't one he was familiar with so we called to verify my insurance though I have full coverage insurance for my vehicle at home it did not cover rental cars for pleasure as the agent stated, Moe went and spoke with his manager and they worked with me they accepted my insurance and we added collision insurance from the rental company for literally a few extra dollars he also gave me a break on the E-z pass and knocked off a few bucks off of that.
He asked how many people were with me I told him at the moment there was 4 of us but my sister would be flying in later in the night he was so sweet that he upgraded my vehicle with no extra cost. His customer service was absolutely impeccable I am so appreciative to Moe he was super nice and really looked out for me and my family.
We haven't been to Florida since 2013 we tried planning a trip last year in July but the pandemic was still raging so we cancelled but thank goodness so far everything has been good. Thank you to Easirent for making my rental experience a smooth ride we are truly grateful oh and btw they're prices are outstanding they are beating all the competition my deposit was dirt cheap in comparison to Dollar, enterprise, Alamo and budget they were asking for a ridiculously high deposits almost triple the amount of a small car it was way too much.
Go check them out if your planning a trip to the Orlando area trust they will not disappoint. Thank you Moe and thank you Easirent I appreciate you my family appreciates you trust this will be my go to anytime I travel to Orlando. Moe you rock my friend thx once again.
I picked up my rental from Darren on 6/3 and he was excellent. He explained everything to me so that it was simple and easy for me to understand. I will recommend Easirent to my friends who visit the Orlando area and this will be my go to car rental location!
Terrible Terrible experience. Reservation worthless, no airport pick up, no cars, disgusting, no customer service worth a darn.
Management, location, dirty inside and out, WRONG KEY, 50 MILES AWAY AND CAR WON'T restart, pathetic
Do not rent a car from this place. After waiting almost an hour at the airport pickup we finally arrived at the rental place. The supposed manager tried to up charge us. We were also told that we would have a free extra driver at booking and this was not the case. He would not even look at my confirmation. After arguing back and forth the "manager" said he would not rent to us. I am sure this was the best thing to happen to us. Went to Hertz and had a problem free rental experience. Be careful it was very shady.
Easirent? NEVER AGAIN.
1. They were UNREACHABLE when I tried to call them to inform that my flight was cancelled and I had to fly in the next day. They then charged me over $150 for a "reinstatement fee" (my rental went from 15 days to 14 days, they charged for the full 15 days +$150).
2. The car was dented, damaged and had some rust (fortunately I took many photos prior to rental which I highly recommend).
3. There were bugs that BITE in the vehicle (some kind of ant – but there were quite a few).
4. There were plastic bottles and trash under the seats (not cleaned well)
5. Upon arrival, they informed me that if I did not have my personal insurance card (I planned to use my credit card's insurance) they would HAVE TO charge me for insurance which ranged to $25+ per day. By shear luck, my daughter was in her car when I called her and was able to send a photo of the policy and I avoided this (approx. $350) charge.
6. Upon arrival the documents at the counter said a passport was mandatory to rent (it was a domestic flight).
7. Upon arrival, there was only one person at the counter and it took about 40 minutes (after waiting 15 minutes for a shuttle and another 10 minutes for the shuttle ride) to rent the car. Over one hour total to pick up the car.
8.10 minutes after leaving, the tire light went on. The tire had a slow leak. Every day I had to put some air in. I noted that all the tires had caps over the valves except the one with the leak so it clearly predated my rental.
9. I have rented over 500 cars in my life (business travel). I've *never* had an extra charge for "reinstatement", *never* had an unreachable company, *never* gotten a damaged car (except when I was a kid renting from "rent-a-wreck", I've *never* been asked for my insurance info and a passport when renting domestically. The whole experience was appalling.
10. This company has a one-star rating in many places – IMO, the poor rating is well-justified!
As soon as we walked into the building it was so hot. My boy friend and i where then crammed into this tiny, hot room with about 10 other people. The wait for the shuttle was long let alone the time it took the employees to get through the amount of people they had in the room. We were then hit with about 4 fees even though after I paid on the website it said I owed nothing. The car is dirty on the outside decent on the inside and drives fine. I would never recommend anyone to this place.
Spent 90 minutes trying to start the remote collection rental. Key collection pod impossible to find. No email stating requirement to upload various documents to the poorly designed website. No guidance on DVLA code palaver. Never again.
Rude people at the service desk. WE waited 8 minutes in the office for help standing right in front of the lady working at the Tampa airport location on Cypress 'Road. She acted disgusted that she had to help us. The car was a Nissan Versa. Pile of used just.
Two months after renting a car from them I get a charge on my credit card. I call them and ask why. They could not explain the charge for 51.33. I had charges reversed.
This is a low budget garbage company that you should run as fast as you can away from. Pay a little more and get a National Car or something else. Easirent is not worth the savings.
Since april 19 today is april 24, ive been waiting for a return call from the manager. Cause i had some issue with some items left in the car.and nobody has been responsable to call back... I guess somebody loved all the souvenirs found at the vehicle... Left emails. Im still waiting. Unprofessionals
You never pick up your phone. Out of 4 of us we called you 4 times each trying to get someone. Each time we went from 8th call to 1 caller then hangs up. What kind of place is this. It rained the wipers in the back didnt work. The van we rented was fested with roaches of all sized inside and out to the point we had to ride with other family members because it was that disgusting. Who rents a vehicle like that in that condition. The passenger seat was ranked of urine and under both seats it has a defogger can for the bugs. How can you call yourself a rental facility renting vehicles like that. I want every penny we gave you. My name is Debra Holland and my number is *******027. Please have the decency to call me back.
The guy at the counter, said his name was David Guzman. He was the most rude, inconsiderate person I have ever met. He tried to rip us off because we were late picking up the car, (Flight Delays) He wanted to charge $180.00 more than the agreed upon price. The couple behind us was literally 1 minute late and he told them the same thing. When I didn't agree to his "new" price he said he was cancelling our rental. Right there in the office I rebooked it again on my phone and showed him my new confirmation number, He refused to honor the new booking. Long story short, We got an UBER and went to another rental agency where we received exceptionally friendly treatment. I will NEVER rent from Easirent. Too bad they don't have a ZERO overall rating button.
I want to lodge a complaint against Easirent. Your website is misleading Awful! AWFUL experience. First of all this is NOT located inside the airport. They have a shuttle but it took so long we ended up taking an Uber. The location of the business does not look like it is in a good area at all. They are not open 24 hours either. So we ended up changing our flight home because there was no way I was going there in the early am hours. When they brought up the SUV, I asked If it had been cleaned. The worker said it had. The outside was dusty and so was the inside. The front window was difficult to see out. I ended up buying windex and clorox wipes to clean the inside and going through the car wash just to be able to see. The inside smelled like stale smoke. I could say more but that's the basic info. Go with another company!
Answer: To whom it may concern, This is the complaint letter I sent to those whom I thought could help my wife and I solve an issue that we found to be Very troubling. It involved an employee at the Jacksonville Easienrt, specifically the manager named Franky. Priceline Booking Number 202-281-644-38 Easirent Reference Number 1863754 Easirent Wally Park, Jacksonville, FL airport We went to pick-up our rental on February 15th, 2020 and had all the information we were told to bring (credit card, drivers license). The young man, Franky waiting on us, informed us we needed proof of our auto insurance which we did not bring because we were not asked to bring it. When we challenged that he informed us that local rules can require them to ask for proof of insurance. We have Erie Insurance and at this time on a Saturday they are closed and not open on Sunday. The manager, Franky, said we couldn't have the car without proof of insurance. We told him we would call and give them that information on Monday and he said ok. Then he blindsided us about the in-kind coverage on our credit card which we thought we had but would check with Bank America, his response made us feel threatened and also taken advantage of. Again, none of this was mentioned on any of the documents. It was hard to understand Franky at times which only made the situation worse so my wife took over. Once again, we were told we couldn't take the car without the proof of insurance, which also was never mentioned on the paperwork. My wife explained we would call them on Monday with the information so the charges that we paid extra for, would be taken off once that information was given Franky and that would be ok. We signed off and waited for the car, which was not what we asked for. It looked like the worst one on the lot and the windows were very dirty and very hard to see out of the windows because of the stickers on the side window. On Monday, as promised., we called Erie to get the information for our insurance and also Visa to make sure we had the in-kind benefit. Both of these services were to be taken off our bill once the information was suppled. Called 1-888-901-5121 on Monday the 17th twice, once busy and 2nd time hung up on after we told them we were calling with the information they needed. Called again Tuesday the 18th and kept getting busy signals. Not only was this a terrible experience initially, but customer service once they knew why we called, decided to hang up and not answer the phone after they saw the number. Thankfully, the return went smoothly and very glad the person who waited on us was helpful. The rep at the desk upon return, Dasha, informed us that all she has to do is ask for proof, if not available then it would have been accepted, that being two adults in there 70's would have insurance.
Answer: I want someone on the phone from Easirent to explain to me why they aren't the fraud they clearly are...
Answer: They tried to charge me an extra £120 on arrival to upgrade as they'd run out of cars of the booked class. Argued and argued but they only threatened to call the police to remove me from their office. Had to pay £55 for a taxi and wasted an hour and a half.
Answer: Depends on the size but i was about £27 each for just a 2 day car hire. And i had to fit them both myself! What a company.
