My experience - You pay the money and get nothing in return other than stress, anxiety, and additional cost (days off work, phones calls) etc. The lies and broken promises are thrown in for free. AVOID AT ALL COST!
Ordered a bed and mattress. The mattress arrived on time without the bed! Was told I would get a call/text/email to say what was happening but didn't. I called and was told the bed would arrive 2 days later. I waited in all day but it didn't. Was told by customer services that it hadn't even been dispatched by the warehouse! Complete $#*!tards! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY
Ordered good for next day delivery on Thursday, Received email saying goods would be delivered on the Thursday pm. NO SHOW! Emailed Customer services in evening. Friday received email goods would be delivered pm. AGAIN NO SHOW. Today Monday received email goods will be delivered today approx. Midday WOT A SURPRISE NO BLOODY SHOW. Order now been cancelled and wont be ordering again from this cowboy outfit. How the hell they can put on order tracking that the item has been dispatched by courier on the Wednesday with a dispatch number is beyond me. There was no hesitation in them cancelling my order, which make me think that the goods have not even been dispatched yet!
Worst ever experience with any company we've dealt with. Terrible customer service. Hours on hold. Being hung up on repeatedly. Wrong deliveries. Late deliveries. Basically, it's hard to explain in words, just how bad this company is. Stay away.
Ordered for next day delivery. A week later, all that has arrived is an item that was addressed to someone else. Spent hours on the phone which came to nothing. A bunch of common criminals and fraudsters, should be shut down.
Ordered furniture for the arrival of a new tenant. 2 Weeks on tenant's living out of a suitcase and I'm as embarrassed as ever cause the goods have not arrived. Couldn't contact cust support for a week as my order no. Was coming back as null and void. Eventually made contact with someone in India ( I think) who apologised but knew nothing of my order and couldn't track it. Have launched a paypal dispute and have to wait 20 days before initiating a refund...
Order 2 heavy items, consignment says 2 men, Websit says next day delivery but nothing arrived, had to ring them and beg, then they deliver day after but bring only item. Worst of all I had to help delivery man carry good up the stairs. Have hurt my back and they do not care.
This company actually state that even if I was an elderly person aged 95 or ill, I still would have had to carry my own very heavy goods.
Online door delivery should be delivered and carried by delivery men, NOT THE CUSTOMERS. NEVER THE CUSTOMERS. Home delivery.
To your door it is Home. I do not understand how such bad company get away with such bad service and yet they still operating a business. We are not protected at all, more business more profit making more tax to the government pocket. So is this why we let all these bad companies keep running, on TV we see such bad restaurant serving disgusting food, lies about the product being fresh instead frozen food kept in freezers for months. These companies if cannot provide a good service should be shut down by authorities. Worldstores should be one of them.
We as part of this society we are way too quiet and everyone are alone in their battle against you name it traffic warden ticket, crazy phone bills and charges like crazy, bad service from many companies yet they continue to get rich and no one listen to us

No goods delivered, no response to emails, no answer to phones. Thankfully paid by paypal so able to get my money back. DON'T BUY FROM THESE CROOKS!
Please please please do not order anything from Worldstores unless you want to enter into a nightmare scenario, wasted time on the phone, headaches and the lies. Lie after lie after lie. This has to be worst online retailer I have ever dealt with. They tell lie after lie after lie. Have been waiting for sofas to be delivered for months. Yes months... on a number of occasions I have had the unhappy experience of being left dangling on the phone to customer services at Worldstores. The staff are clueless or possibly their databases are clueless. Various delivery dates are quoted. I have been told on many occasions that the goods have been delivered and signed for when they haven't. That they are in a warehouse waiting despatch. That they have been lost in transit. You name it I have been told it. The customer service team must have a bunch of random scripts from which they can choose various scenarios as nothing I am told is true. I am still waiting for sofas to be delivered. According to Worldstores my sofas have been delivered to the address at least 10 times already. When I phone to ask what is going on they ask me what items from the order have been delivered as they don't know! (If I could I would have given no stars.)
Delivery was promised in 3-5 days, after 2 unanswered emails and 2 telephone calls the items arrived after 13 days. After seeing them we decided we didn't want them after all.
The Worldstores website promises "no quibble" returns, and that there may be a collection charge for unwanted items but "we will never charge you more than the cost to us".
I was charged £40.00 for the return of a small package. The customer service rep could not explain the cost but implied it related to the cost of the items ordered!
I had truly awful service the first time around - a bookshelf, which was partially damaged post construction but not enough that I could not fix it myself with a bit of black gloss paint. Stupidly - after days on the phone to World Stores and their delivery company (getting nowhere and having correspondence ignored), I decided to order the matching item. So here we are a second time. I've taken a day off (which for me involves a flight home, not a few hours off from the office) - and I have a guaranteed delivery for Monday. It is now 4pm on Friday. I'd estimate another 45mins on the phone and they still cannot tell me whether or not this item is arriving on Monday, or even whether or not they are going to be able to tell me when it will arrive. It did finally arrive - again slightly damaged (not on the day I asked, not on the promised next day delivery service, and only after dozens of calls including one very unpleasant call to customer services where I told them to read some of the reviews that were being posted and they told me it was "only people like me who wrote reviews, and people like to complain). This company is a shambles. I don't feel that I've been defrauded, but it was close to impossible to arrange delivery and I needed these things in a rush. As for those recent suspiciously positive 5/5 reviews. Unless this company has been takn over and fndamentally changed, they cannot possibly be legit. So unless you are desperate, just don't do it to yourselves. Even IKEA on a bank holiday in the rain is better than this. I now need to find a bandage after repeatedly bashing my head against the World Stores brick wall. I would NEVER use this company again. I should have read the reviews in advance. I feel stupid for ordering a matching item knowing the dreadful service I had the first time around.
1st bad experience was when I ordered bunkbeds. They only sent one mattress and half the parts! Took tons of phone calls and emails to resolve it and couldn't use the bunk beds for 2 months! 2nd incident was a product had 2 different prices on it and they wouldn't honour lower price because "it was because they were updating their website". Poor customer service!
Discovered 1st wardrobe was damaged after 1 hour of construction! Eventually customer services dealt with it and arranged a collection and distribution of another! Collection company wouldn't take original as wasn't packaged which they were informed about prior to collection! New one arrived and that was damaged too! Eventually both collected and now 10 days later I still haven't had a refund! Was told it would take a maximum 5 days! Now classed as theft! Steer well clear of Worldstores!
My order should have arrived on 8/6-nothing, then 9/6-nothing etc including today 12/6. I have taken 5 days off and lost holiday because of WorldStores for... nothing but stress and cost in calls etc. I have emailed xdp (their delivery company) and spent ages waiting and eventually speaking to WorldStores, both of which have been useless in getting what I've paid for. AVOID.
My 93 year old mother ordered a garden seat on 30 April. Except for the order acknowledgment and daily marketing emails she has received absolutely no other correspondence from Worldstores. I have tried to telephone them but gave up after listening to the recorded message for over ten minutes. Emails have only received a computer generated response.
I used them to buy a door and was pleased with the service so recommended my mother use them to buy the bench. A very big mistake. If I could give them no stars I would.
If anyone knows how to get a response from them I would be very grateful. I have a horrible feeling they have taken her money already.
We bought a bed frame and mattress and in less than 6 months the slats had warped (massively) and the mattress had a huge indentation in it. The quality of both bed and mattress is rubbish and, for a bit more money, we bought a really great mattress from Loaf and far superior bed frame from IKEA.
In addition to a poor quality product, the service is honestly amongst the absolute worst I've ever dealt with. I sent more than 20(!) emails over a period of more than a month chasing people and trying to find out what was happening with my complaint. They often take a week to respond (if you remind them every couple of days). Eventually I called World Stores but you have to wait on hold for a long time and then someone just tells you someone else will get back to you. But no one does. They won't transfer to you a manager and they won't let you wait on hold until one is available. If you ask them to, they threaten to terminate the call (this actually appears to be policy).
Eventually World Stores agreed to replace the slats and refund me for the mattress. After more than 15 phone calls over the past two weeks, I've received neither.
I dealt with Emma Mitchel, Zoe Longhurst, and a manager called Ray Jordan (amongst others).
Save yourself the hassle and spend a bit more money on something that will last more than 6 months.
At the moment, we are waiting for a mattress that was supposed to be arriving with the rest of the shop (including 2 beds and 2 mattresses), after paying next day delivery cost. They said it will arrive on Saturday without any extra charge and its 16:47PM with no signs of the delivery. When call the contact number, it went through to sales and the girl says that she can't help us as we need to wait for customer service line which will open on Monday. Then she said that she cannot track our order and when asked to speak to the supervisor, she said that her supervisor is unavailable. We are not at all happy with the customer service. It was our first time with world stores and I don't think we'll be coming back.
Prior to purchase spoke to sales team to ensure that Bed would be delivered by 2 man courier and taken to ground floor bedroom, as shown on website.
Purchased 4ft divan bed with mattress and booked specific delivery date. ( 20/01/15), as items to be delivered to elderly lady, who needs to have someone at the house to accept the goods for her.
Divan base delivered by solo courier who would not take any further than front door. Mattress was missing.
Worldstore did not respond to email that day, 20 minutes on hold to speak to customer service, who could not locate mattress.
Following morning,, another 20 mins wait for customer service to inform us mattress would be delivered by 12; 00. It arrived at 13:30 again by solo courier, and was the wrong size.
Once again, no response to 2 emails. 18 mins on hold to customer service, who informed me that paperwork would be sent to me enabling me to book date for delivery of correct mattress ( and collection of incorrect shipment). 24 hrs later, no paperwork.
Order was cancelled.
23/01/15, new mattress delivered, with no notification from worldstores to expect the order. Mattress appears to have been damaged in transit. 3 x 15 min calls to customer services and as yet unable to get through.
Probably worse service i have ever experienced. Would avoid this company at all costs.
Wish I had looked at reviews before losing my money to this con artists! Ordered a fireside companion set last week, for next day delivery... still no sign this week, their phone goes unanswered, delivery company say they haven't received the goods, my emails have not been answered... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Please beware of this site, i ordered something 6 weeks ago and they took my money but order still says not yet sent, they have ignored all my emails and i just cannot get my money back, please do not loose your money like i did, avoid like the plague.
I am contacting trading standards now so hope they get shut down.

Answer: Call the sales department line instead of customer services (worldstores.co.uk only cares about obtaining your cash and couldn't give a damn about customer service or industry laws and standards).
