DON'T BOTHER!

This company is an absolute nightmare.

They FAILED to deliver my bed, and this, more than 8 MONTHS after my initial order!
I recently decided to cancel my order as Worldstores were unable, once again, to give me a new shipment/delivery date or explain the real reason for this long and unacceptable delay.

Their lack of communication and follow up on orders is TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL and their customer service really needs major improvements:. Waiting time to talk to customer service is regularly 30 minutes!. Not only are there no updates on orders but their website order tracking system doesn't work! USELESS. There seems to be no coordination and communication between the various offices, customer services, warehouses and managers.

As a customer, you feel helpless and you clearly get the impression that THEY DON'T CARE.
I have been ordering online for many years but this is the WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever had.

So, save yourself the time, hassle and frustration and find a reliable source for your furniture...

Nothing as advertised!

Company from hell! I ordered bed and mattress with next day delivery when this did not arrive after 2 days i contacted them through email. I received an automated message about they are experiencing higher than usual enquieries from customers and that somebody should contact me within 2-5 days. The next day I received a response from customer service apologizing and refunding delivery charge. A new delivery date has been confirmed for 5 days later. Once again nothing arrived! Another email sent requesting full refund. This has been done the following day. Never ever will use this company again where they allow you to buy something they dont have and make you believe the goods have been dispatched to currier for delivery. Pack of lies!

Terrible in all respects.

Truly terrible store in all respects. Before I made any purchase I was given an assurance by a manager that a certain pair of curtains matched the picture used to advertise them on the Worldstores website. This turned out to be untrue. I therefore had to return the curtains. This took weeks to achieve because Worldstores have a policy of ignoring emails and not answering the phone. Earlier on, I had made the mistake of making an inquiry about a potential replacement. After several attempts at this I finally got a reply. However, I could make no sense of it as it made no reference to the subject of my query. I finally managed to return the curtains on the 21st October. Following this, I was promised a refund within 5 days. It is now 10th November and I still haven't received my refund. I will be contacting the police if I don't receive it by tomorrow.

Horrible!

I am horrified, never have I experienced such bad service from a store. I bought the Cuba Sofa bed specifically because it was "next day delivery", I needed it urgently for a surprise guest. The delivery was 4 days late but I wasn't notified even once. I tried to call the store multiple times at various times of the day but it said that they were always experiencing "high call volumes". Frankly speaking, that sounds like a lie. I had an easier time getting through to busy government offices. My calls weren't answered even after being on hold for 40 minutes but when it finally was- the lady on the phone sounded like she couldn't give a damn about me or my complaint. She sounded so removed and uninterested that I couldn't help but feeling insulted. She said she would forward my complaint to the delivery service who would get back to me. They never got back to me and my written complaint was ignored. But the worst thing was that when it had finally arrived ( 4 days later) after I complained to the delivery man on the phone, they had the nerve to write on the delivery receipt that they tried to deliver it on the 27th but we weren't in. I only ordered it on the 29th so needless to say, it's impossible that they tried to deliver it 2 days before. This was the last time I'm giving them my business.

Failed to deliver on two occasions, the carrier said the mattress had not been despatched to them. I cancelled and requested refund. Their customer service is so poor that emails receive auto responses that "your request has been dealt with". Over three weeks now and still no refund.

Where is my order
October 30, 2015

After placing order told 3/5 days, we are now on day 6 and the tracker app tells me it is not even shipped yet and be on hold forever on the phone and then line goes dead, god knows how much that call cost me to get no where.
Have sent two emails and the return mail says it can take 5 days to respond,
Why do this to customers, do what you say or tell them the real time for delivery so they know, simple logic dictates we only complain when things don't go to plan.
Still waiting.

I am having a dreadful experience with Mattress World (part of World Stores). I am seriously thinking of contacting the BBC TV programme 'Watchdog' and 'Rogue Traders'. I have never dealt with such a bad company. They did not deliver the mattress 'next day' as stated and confirmed on the telephone. The delivery people then left the mattress outside in a garden by the road. The product was not as described and clearly very poor in quality. And now I am trying to return it for a refund. I've sent 4 emails through their online Contact Form none of which have been replied. The 'Customer Services' telephone is not answered and the 'Sales' people refuse to deal with it. When I asked to speak to a manager, they just immediately put me back on hold. Clearly they have a system to avoid customers reaching them.

A HUGE DONT!

Ordered a sofa 2 months ago. Last week they delivered the wrong sofa. I asked them to take it back and called and arranged another delivery in two days. No one showed up, no one let me no! I was talked after two calls and that they are out of stock. I asked for a refund. One week on all I got after calling and sending emails was an answer today, by email saying I am not getting a refund cause they delivered the sofa! Want to get into this kind of trouble? Go ahead and order!

Very bad experience!

I have bought a mattress on 29th September that has to be delivered on 1st october (a "next day delivery" or "chosen date delivery").
I wasted all the day to wait for this mattress.
Next day the customer care (30 min at phone waiting for an answer) only told me that I would receive a phone call from the carrier the week later (the week later? What about the "next day date delivery"?)...

I wrote them on the form in the website to have some help.
They answered me only 7 days later (during which the mattress has not arrived, and nobody has called me).
I answered to this email proposing for a new date on monday 12th october. The answer of this email was on 12th (?!?!?) proposing me another date: "Wednesday the 15th" (wednesday of that week was the 14th! They are also unable to look at the calendar).
Then I answered that for me was ok to be delivered for "wednesday the 14th", but unfortunately the customer care person meaned "Thursday the 15th" on his email...
I finally proposed for another day, monday the 19th (because we can't stay at home again on the day they had proposed) trying to be gentle and pointing out that for a "next day delivery" people can usually organize it for the day after (that was 14th). In this final proposal I write them to be sure about the delivery, and I was reassured about that.
What do you think? That I had finally received the mattress on monday 19th?
No... another day waiting uselessly...
And my back pain is increasing...

It was a very waste of time for me and my girlfriend too!
We can't wait all these days off to wait for a mattress!

Conclusion:
More than 20 days for a "next day delivery" are an impossible thing to think about, for a web site that is deemed among the best e-commerce in the UK.
Be sure that I will never buy anything from WoldStore and its affiliates websites!

Delivery of sofa delayed for over a month without reliable communication, multiple missed deliveries, arrived wrong size and return also a nightmare. Hands down the WORST company I have ever dealt with.

I would recommend anyone thinking of dealing with this company to avoid at all costs. Because there will be a lot of cost for no reward. I could bore you with my terrible experience or you could just read everyone elses poor reviews cause i experienced all the same $#*!. They should re-name the company Murphys Law. Because if something can go wrong I can 100% guarantee that it will go wrong.

My experience with WorldStores couldn't have been much worse. I ordered a bed for delivery on a specific date and waited in for it all day but it didn't turn up. I received no word from them at all. I called at about 16:00 to see what was going on. After waiting on hold for about half an hour, I finally got through to someone who informed me that my bed would definitely be delivered that day. Several hours later the bed still had not turned up so I had to call again.

After 40 mins on hold I was told that the bed actually wasn't coming after all. The person on the other end was apologetic and agreed to my demand for compensation… which turned out to be £10… great, lost an entire day's work for £10.

In the end, I decided to cancel the order as well as another order I'd placed with them for a mattress as I no longer trusted them at all. That was yet another 40 mins on hold. Their hold music is played really quietly so I couldn't leave my phone and do other things during that time. I also had to wait until after the weekend as their customer service team doesn't work then! Amazing!

I was surprised I actually got my money back (after a ‘technical error' delay though) as I noticed people *******@WorldStores on Twitter saying they'd not received theirs.

Oh and money I got back was minus the compensation I mentioned earlier... so in the end I wasn't compensated for my lost work day at all which is an even bigger issue for my partner who works for himself. Time really is money for him.

Check their Twitter account if you would like more evidence – it's just reams and reams of complaints.

By contrast, I had to call Argos around the same time. My call was answered in less than 5 minutes by an adult who was able to fix my issue on the spot. How can any company in this day and age get it so wrong as WorldStores?!

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid! The cheaper prices aren't worth it!

Terrible company. Ordered two armchairs for delivery on a specific date. On that date only one arrived. Called their 'customer service' number and was on hold for 45 minutes before call answered. Reached someone (Matt) who advised he would contact the courier and get back to me. I advised it was incredibly important the order arrives by the next day. He never called back so 4 hours later I called again, waited another 45 minutes before the call was answered. Was told they checked with the courier and that the second chair (both identical) was due for delivery between 7-9pm that night despite the sticker on the first chair saying 'package 1 of 1 l' (Molly). Second chair was not delivered that evening. I am now trying to call back again - so far been on hold a further 43 minutes... (So over 2 hours on hold to this company and counting - due to THEIR own incompetence.) This company are a useless bunch of rogues in my opinion and simply do not care about their customers.
In terms of their products - from the one chair that has arrived so far, it doesn't quite match the plush quality that is suggested in the advertising of their website. Poorly upholstered, can feel the wooden frame and not particularly comfortable.

I ordered a sofa bed from this company and it was supposed to arrive on 3/10/15

When the delivery driver turned up he only had half of the sofa bed namely the arms section.

I sent the driver away and contacted customer services and after a forty five minute wait was told that it would arrive today 10/10/15.

Waited in all day and it didn't arrive so rang customer services again and was on hold for over an hour.

When i did get through and told them that i'd waited for over an hour and they just laughed down the phone at me.

I've found out that if you paid by visa you can contact your bank and if the item hasn't been delivered by thirty days the bank will refund you and they will pursue the company for the money.

I would advise everyone to follow this route because phoning them or emailing them is just a waste of time.

So having posted a bad review of earlier today and tweeted it this is the reply they immediately tweeted and still no sign of my delivery or customer service:

"@*******@*******@sitejabber automated response tweet! Becca loves a copy and paste pal! #worldstoreuk #donotbuy"

Says it all really. They obviously have a petulant 5 year old in charge of customer service. But proof of their attitude. Avoid and share. I am sending this stuff to trading standards as clear evidence of their behaviour.

Dreadful service from this company. Wrong item delivered twice, still waiting for correct item. Have to hang on for absolute ages if you try to call them, emails just get an automatic response saying they are busy and will not be responded to until 5 working days, which of course never happens. I would suggest you but elsewhere.

I ordered a bedframe and a mattress 2 weeks ago, the bedframe came without a mattress, which is obviously not good for me! I have been trying to get hold of this company since the delivery date to ask whats going on, they keep telling me they would check with the courier and call me back, of course no one did. Then I get a text message saying that the mattress is with the courier and will be delivered today, it wasnt. I have spent hours on the phone trying to get hold of them and sent numerous emails, nothing! I just need my money back, I will never be using or recommending this company to anyone! STAY AWAY!

I ordered two bed from World Store and selected next day delivery. I also took care to call sales Team to make sure the selected delivery date was available and I was reassured it was. So I took a day off work to wait for the delivery. Nothing arrived. I phoned customer services to inquire about this and was advised that the order was delayed. Fair enough I ask them to cancel the order and refund my money. I was told the money would be refunded within 3-5 working days. I waited for 5 days and no refund received. I phoned back again... it always takes almost an HOUR TO get through to their customer service. Anyway, eventually someone answered the phoned and he advised that the refund process was not properly done in previous call and reassured me that this time I would get my refund in again 3-5 days. Today, on 5th day I received part of my refund with no reasons provided as to why the rest was withheld given the order was never dispatched. I have been trying to call the company yet again about this but it's impossible to get through. This company is STRESS, STRESS, HASSLE. Save yourself time and money. AVOID

Utter shambles. I bought bunk beds with mattresses and paid extra for last Saturday delivery. Fair enough got text saying it was cancelled. Re-arranged for Monday. Stayed all day in and no delivery, supposedly beds went to wrong depot. After being on line for ages, it was re-arranged for today but instead delivery man came yesterday Thursday when I was not in. I have spent all morning trying to cancel the order and be refunded. Worst of all, after being left on hold for 50 minutes, someone picked up the line and left it open for a few minutes not responding but having a laugh with colleagues before putting back on the call queue and did it again. Unfortunately there are no other number to call. I have email a complaint but I would not be surprised if these get deleted for fun.
