I ordered a 400 euro smartphone from Gearbest.
The package arrived empty, obviously opened by someone in DPD.
They even resealed the place they opened it with a "resealed by DPD sticker".
I contacted both Gearbest and DPD.
DPD says that Gearbest has to make a claim and Gearbest says I have to make the claim.
It has been 2 weeks and nothing.
DPD doesn't care that there are thieves in their company, opening people's packages, they didn't care o check who handled my package, they just keep saying "gearbest should make a claim and then we will look into it".
Don't send anything through them.
A 400 euro theft is a serious matter and they don't even care to find the thief.
I've called the call centre after my time slot just missed.
I don't really get that how I could missed the driver. I'd been home whole day for the parcel. (pretty sure driver even didn't come here)

Twice now I was told a calling card was left and I wasn't in, I have been in the whole time, both days and no calling card was left, I live on a new build estate and this is the only company that cannot find my address, I rang up and asked for the driver to call me if they cannot find my house, no one phoned me, I also left clear instructions of how to get to my house and the closest postcode that shows up to mine and my house can be seen from the address I'd given, there are huge flags and an estate billboard. Phone service is poor, drivers can't be bothered to use their brains, just lie and say I wasn't in.
I've ordered from various companies LambdaTek. Each time I enjoy knowing where you parcel is, even who will deliver it and when within an hour time slot, and it's been delivered on time each time. I lookout for good companies that use this delivery company. DPD cannot take any blame for what the people who give them the parcels are up too. It's the best of all the ones I have used.
I am absolutely fuming. I ordered 5 tops on 21 March 2015 and as of today's date 13 April 2015 NOTHING has arrived! When I tried to get in touch with this company, customer service does not exist via email (if you've found an address please let me know), subsequently (as you do) I checked for a telephone number NOTHING! However, the monies have left my account someone is benefiting at my expense. As for the tracking number this was not recognised. If I had wanted to throw my money away there are numerous other ways in which I could have done so. I would strongly advise DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM LIGHTINTHEBOX.COM it is a Scam.
Did a Perfect Delivery
Just received a parcel today, delivered by a cheery and polite driver. I had ordered an item from Deuba(via Ebay), which is based in Germany. The whole process took less than five days from start to finish and the parcel was delivered in perfect condition. DPD had tracking for the parcel and this was kept updated.
