I have been using doTERRA essential oils for 5 years now. I have an account. After reading some negative reviews I'm shocked. From their site to their customer service, I don't think they could make it any easier. I took advantage of the company's LRP and it's paid off! I guess you can't make everyone happy!
From customer service to top high quality oils, I've always been extremely happy with doTERRA. Use of their oils has made a major change in my health. Co-workers always comment on the nice fragrance as well. :)
I absolutely love doterra! I am a chronic pain sufferer with fibromyalgia, this product has allowed me to cut down on meds a bit. To me that's a bonus! To the person who said they continue to get the previous months order over and over, just edit that section and you will no longer receive that order.
I've been using Doterra oils since the company built here in Utah County. Never had a problem with the product or the staff. I've seen a few miracles myself after using the oils — especially Deep Blue and Breathe
After watching convention which was awesome I wanted to jump in and start this as my business. I saw great people and great hope. I was then slapped in the face with reality. All I needed was to be replaced in someone else's upline, I needed away from the violent and needed to be in a place of great opportunity and great support. Apparently Doterra can not place me where I can grow this business. And after watching convention I was extremely disappointed. They preach all the good but leave in a position that is harmful. So disappointed! Guess this is the universe telling me not an honest company that I need to get involved with. Don't preach good and then leave newbies in bad situations!
We have been dealing with Doterra for 4 years now and whilst the quality is great the fact that it will charge you the same thing AGAIN the next month (when you only want to order it one time) and can't even cancel or delete it for next time, should that happen, is appalling. They make it ridiculously hard to even stop it happening again, they give a step by step instruction on how to supposedly cancel the LRP order (loyalty rewards program order) but don't tell you that you have to actually call or talk to them online. My mother and I will not be using it anymore as they charged us again for a LPR order that we tried to cancel and didn't want as she was getting something different this time. To keep charging us and sending us products we only wanted one time is more of a scam then a actual business model is insane to me. Please do not use this you can find the same quality oil at others places for cheaper and won't scam you into becoming a member just to take your money. If you do use this I suggest that you do it as a one time order and do not sign up for it. This feels more of like a pyramid scheme as they get YOU to try and push family, friends and others into buying it under the guise of you doing this as a 'business' claiming you can make lots of money by only doing a couple of 'small things' by charging everyone underneath them 'extra' and that being your cut and the rest to doterra. This has given me nothing but stress and anxiety.
I have dealt with four different reps who sell doTerra. Each one was pushy and the products/oils did not live up to what the reps stated. Told false information, was given medical advice by people not qualified to offer it, and harassed by one rep, viciously. When I reported this to the company, I never received a response. I contacted the company three times regarding this reps treatment.
I'll start by saying I love Doterra oils. However I won't be buying from them again. Years ago the had a membership with a one-time $10 lifetime membership fee for 20% off products. It worked for a few years and then they discontinued it. When I reached out to CS they said they couldn't find anything about that type of membership being guaranteed for a lifetime. They also refused to refund me the $10. So they basically suckered me in and then pulled the rug out from under me. I sent them screenshots proving it WAS a lifetime membership. They just said thank you for sending those screenshots but still didn't give me my money back or acknowledge that the company had lied. To be transparent they did give me 50 points, whatever that means. I won't be ordering from them again so really doesn't matter. There are other good oils out there, go seek them out.
I have been involved in MLM companies since the mid 90s and I can honestly say that this company is the WORST in helping distributors when a problem arises. Two years ago this billion dollar company BOUNCED a $900 check to my fiancé who has brain cancer and was having problems and it was due to THE COMPANY having a computer glitch. It bounced payments in her account and then they tried to cover it all up by buying her off with points.
I should have gone to the media then. Now…two and a half years later and two brain surgeries later, because of a price change on a loyalty order that is automatic. She missed her bonus by 3points. 3 points! Granted this is her issue that it wasn't checked, EXCEPT I CALLED IN AND PAOD FOR THE ORDER AND WAS TOLD SHE HAD MET HER GOALS AND NO WORRIES! As I am currently on hold for the 11th day in a row to fix this situation they are now telling me "another week" because they didn't process the payment to her in time. I mean…hello. Billion dollar company can't cut a $900 check for a mistake. Have to wait weeks because of their "system". I own a global company and if one of my employees have an issue…cut a check or I'll transfer money immediately to fix a problem for them. Not put them off for weeks, literally ruining Them in a time of need. Thanks for caring DoTerra! Thank GOD it's not me associated with you. I can't stand the garbage you spew in the name of caring about people. You don't care at ALL!
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!
The very first order I placed was several days late. When I inquired, their customer service reps were completely unhelpful - not their fault, nothing they could do. They wouldn't even credit me back on the shipping. I told them I expected them to honor their shipping commitment and didn't need it late. I plan to return the shipment when it finally arrives. The company obviously cares more about a few dollars in the short term that honoring and respecting their word and keeping customers happy and returning.
I had to speak to the representative named Alicia. She was short and rude through a text. When you have an experience like this, it makes you wonder. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I have been a loyal customer and advocate since 2016.
The oils may be great but when it comes to Refunds, they make it IMPOSSIBLE. I sent a package back to them in December, it is now February and I still have not gotten my refund and when I called they denied my refund and offered me no solution. So not only did I not want the package they sent me, now I am out $$$! It is A TERRIBLE company and GREEDY!
Joined them as a consultant, I like the products but even though they make it look as a good business it is not so. I was very disappointed when I finally understood all the rules but remained with the company. I would order one product and they send another one without explanation, customer service is not the best.
This company markets their products as natural and healthy. My ex-roommates used them for approximately 3 years and I had constant sinus headaches. Scratchy throat, constricted breathing issues. On August 21,2020 I had severe sinus headache reaction to clove product and felt my throat closing up and left upstairs area. Still had sinus headache but my throat opened up. Also had severe sinus headache in late October 2020 to lavender product ex-roommate was using. Gave 30day notice November 1st and moved out mid November. I also tried to complain to FDA but their form is for drugs. FDA had warned this company about their marketing practices in 2014. Children and pets may be at risk as well as people like myself with allergies and asthma.
On Nov 2,2020, my credit card was charged by Doterra the amount of $146.23 without my knowledge. They got hold of my credit card because I had bought products from them a month before (Oct 2,2020). I did not order anything from them in Nov, I did not authorize them to charge my card for anything whatsoever. As soon as I notice the purchase on my credit card, I called Doterra right away to refund my credit card. They apologized for charging my credit card without my knowledge but they stated that could not refund my credit card until the products they had shipped to me was received by me and returned to them. On Nov 6,2020, the products they had shipped arrived of which I returned unopened the same day. To this day, Dec 2,2020, I still have not received my money back. I had initiated a claim with my credit card to refund me and I am waiting. Why do I have to go through this over a purchase that I never initiated in the first place? Who has a right to charge people's credit cards without their approval? Be careful when you buy anything from Doterra.
Their products are the best on the market. Any time Ive ever had ANY sort of issue customer service goes out of their way to remedy it. Once they even replaced a stolen package from my porch at no charge
I know I cannot make medical claims and trying to describe this particular blend (Past Tense). It is saving me from being having miserable days due to head tension, I can not overestimate how I am grateful for this oil blend.
My relationship and family has be much more peaceful and harmonious after we started diffusing DoTERRA. Especially the effect of Copaiba to relax the nervous system and Lavender for better sleep has been amazing.
I highly recommend and I love these oils.
Unfortunately, it has been a very bad experience with Doterra. My first order came with no problems and I liked the quality of some of the oil I ordered. However on my second order, after a long delete, I received an empty box. Doterra claimed and excused them selves saying that they had had some problem with mailing their merchandise. After 20 days, I finally received the order, but changing it twice, which is a total scam. On 7/23/2020, I called customer service and the person who I spoke with was very rude and insulting, to the point tell me that I was trying to take advantage of the situation. She didn't want to give me her name and just hang up on me. I just decide to leave that like that and no buying anything else from this company. Now, a month later I found out that they make another unauthorized charge on my credit card. I report that to the bank. This is totally a fraud.
I have never had a bad experience or product from them. I had problems with one of the oils and they sent me a new one the next day. The staff is very friendly and they have so much information on different remedies and how the oils are sourced. I will never buy from another brand!
Answer: Because people will buy doterra products, pull off the top without damaging it, remove some of the oil and replace it with something else to fill it up again to make a profit. This is not doterra approved
