I'm extremely upset and disappointed with the pharmacy at this location. This is the second time I've driven an hour to pick up my medication, only to find the pharmacy closed with no pharmacist on duty — despite receiving a message that it was ready for pickup. There was no notification, no signage, and no courtesy update. This is unacceptable, especially when people rely on timely access to their prescriptions. I'm transferring my medication to my local CVS and will be sharing my experience with others. The lack of reliability and communication at this pharmacy is unprofessional and harmful. I wish i could rate them less than 1 star!
Walgreens Pharmacy, Monmouth Illinois is the absolute rock bottom in customer service and professionalism. They are constantly closing the pharmacy for days on end and lying about why. They will tell you lie after lie to cover their incompetence. Most of the staff are nasty with their responses to questions.
Why is it hard for people to have common sense?
I came to drop off two prescriptions and to pick up one. Courtney, the heavy set caucasian girl they had working the window, was unnecessarily rude and disrespectful. I tried to ask three simple questions.
1. When will they be ready for pick up?
Her answer: they'll be ready later. I don't know when.
This isnt a clear answer. So I asked;
2. Would it better if I take them somewhere else because I am going to need them tonight?
She got rude and started overtaking me mid question, her shift in tone displaying a distasteful attitude of annoyance towards me simple stating that I would need the medicine tonight, because they were immediately necessary.
In response I asked for the prescriptions back and to pick up the order that had already been filled.
Instead of listening, she threw the prescriptions into the ben and walked off.
She ignored us for six minutes, clearly seeing us at the window. She didnt come until the store manage "Heavenly" was called.
Courtney then would make an excuse claiming she thought we drove off. How did she think we drove off when she was looking at us constantly the duration of those six minutes?
Her attitude changed immediately when she realized that we were on the phone with corporate filing a complaint.
When it finally came time to get the prescription that was ready, she tried to hold my debit card hostage to force us to listen to her. My son, who is a Deputy informed Courtney in that moment that she was now committing a felony, which unlawful possession of a debit/credit card is a Class D felony. That is the only reason she gave it back.
It is ridiculous how entitled and unprofessional people are. Half the time this Walgreens doesn't even have the antibiotics nore pain medications in after they claim they just had a truck. That makes me wonder if someone is taking them Where are the medications going?
This is the Walgreens located at 2940 West Main street Dothan AL, *******.
David Damon is part of the problem. He rather make excuses insted of correcting the problem. I have a dash cam video of the full conversation and, Courtney uncouth behavior.

Dear Customer
Thank you for sharing about your recent experience at Walgreens.
I appreciate your willingness to share your concerns. We will use your feedback to ensure customers do not experience this same issue in the future.
Ma'am, I do not know what happened but one thing I can tell you is that something is missing here because Courtney is not a mean or rude person at all. Also, if we cannot fulfill a prescription, and the customer needs it quick, we can recommend the customer to get it at another Walgreens location and/or go to another pharmacy and we can transfer them the prescription.
If you would like to email or call me to discuss this in more detail, please contact me using the information below. Thank you again for sharing your concerns as your feedback is critical to help us improve the experience at Walgreens. We hope to see you again soon.
Sincerely,
DAVID DAMON

I like them. They're convenient to find when you need a pharmacy. Convenience stops are consistently reliable experiences. Too often, I see prescriptions that should be ready but are not in stock or available in partial amounts from what my friends tell me. I just needed cough medicine that day, but they usually have a list of needs. Poor communication and attempts to clarify or resolve problems with staff have led to dead ends. These are my major stress points.

They are the worst pharmacy that I ever had to deal with they can't even have your medicine when you go to pick it up they do not care about there patients they lie to me so many times said they weren't excepting paper scripts when my Dr has a stamp that he can fill them at any pharmacy they tell me they have my medicine I get there on we don't have them in stock than they tell me can't fill my scripts because I went somewhere else well of course I did you told me you didn't have them in stock I would rather filly script fill there than go to the other pharmacy and pay 315 because they don't take insurance so don't you think that if they fill them there I would go to Walgreens and get them filled for free they do not care that you been on that medicine for 15 yrs or longer and can't go without I call corporate and they said they get back with me in two days never did they are just has bad I was filling my scripts there for over 10 or 15 yrs no problem and now Iam having problems I told them I would be glad to take all my scripts and fill them there but they say don't have them in stock so I had no choice I am on disability I can't afford 315 so I chose to starve and go without things I did or pay just to get my scripts that cost me 315 they are so non caring people they rather you die than give your scripts
For the third time they told me my meds weren't in stock. Could only give me a couple of pills - when I asked why this was such a consistent problem the pharmacist said "because we don't make any money off of you, in fact we are losing money because of Medicare so we prefer you go elsewhere" it appears that they had the drugs, but were making it hard so they could sell them to someone else with private insurance for more money. This was at the Edina Walgreens in York Ave.
Walgreens makes a fortune selling cards, including alleged VISA cards, Google play, etc., etc. when those cards are actually forgeries and theft scams. Walgreens makes tens of millions with their commissions and the $6 charge added to the cost of each fake card, and when you call Walgreens ten times trying to get help getting your money back, Walgreens transfers you to some number in Asia where no one speaks English or Walgreens customer service disconnects you with their vile malice and giggles, knowing you are just one more of their millions of victims. What a terrible ESG and DEI company that hates Americans. Can we hope Walgreens goes under.
They cheated me out of my money and didn't respond to anything after that. My experience was awful. Then I came across Joren Vale, and he's been the exact opposite. He responds quickly, provides a price list, and delivers high-quality products on time.
They are nothing more than crooks. Absolute Untrustworthy. Avoid these people or you will regret like i did. Now i get my product from joren Vale and haven't faced a single issue as of now.He is 100% trustworthy.
Wow, I stuck this out for a year hoping things would get better and they only get worse. RX's often out of stock, seems seldom they are filled by date promised. Being shorted on RX amounts. I tried to manipulate this by ordering early, even before my insurance would pay so RX's would be in on time. Still, many were often late, and I've had several times I've just had to go without my RX's for a couple days. I believe most of the employees are good people. It seems to be the Walgreens RX company. They don't seem to support their employees and provide them with products to support the demand. Cold and flu season I know but I had these same problems before. They don't seem to provide them with enough employees to support the operations. The lines seem to be uncommonly long both through the drive-thru and inside at the pharmacy. You can easily wait 30-40 minutes in either line trying to pick up RX's. Furthermore, it's highly probable if you have multiple scripts to pick up, some will be ordered and unavailable for pickup. Case and point, just last night while seated waiting to see if the pharmacist was able to fill two important RX's I was promised the day before, I watched 7 customers come to the counter. 6 of the 7 did not receive all their RX's and were told they would have to come back when they had more in. These were not just cold/flu related medications. To top that off, there is no HIPPA compliancy. I was able to hear every conversation with customers and if the people in store that were in line were paying attention, they could hear the conversations as well. I can tell you what woman picked up her Valtrex RX. That is a herpes medication which I am sure the lady didn't want everyone to know what she was getting. Another gentleman picked up, among other medications, his Sildenafil script to help with erectile disfunction issues. Again, I am sure the gentleman didn't care for that to be common knowledge. Out of all the customers at the counter picking up, there was only one customer that I didn't hear, at least the name of one of the scripts they were picking up. This is a shame. The poor employees are inundated with upset customers. You take that day-in, day-out and it will jade even some of the best natured employees. Watch just a little bit and you will easily see the toxic work environment employees are enduring. I'd further comment on the negative comments employees make about the company they work for, but I don't care to risk their livelihood. I am going to leave with this: last night I wrote a sincere letter to Walgreens explaining why I had made the decision to move my scripts elsewhere. I explained to them the issues, filled out their form correctly and wished them success in solving their problems and becoming a decent company again. Around 4:45 am I received an AI generated response telling me how important I was but that they couldn't help me because I didn't submit two required pieces of information. I replied and explained that I did include that information. Did I ever get a response from something other than a problematic and inaccurate AI bot? Nope. I am done with Walgreens, and you should be too unless you care to risk like type experiences.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. Last month I submitted a new script & told it was early. They'd remind me when it could be filled. For weeks I keep getting reminders saying I have a prescription that needs a refill. They probably discarded the early prescription. Another prescription was out of stock without giving me a hint when it would be restocked. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAD HAPPENED. The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing.
They don't deserve 1 star. I get so aggravated using their pharmacy. Every month I have to tell them to use a coupon on file. Do not submit to insurance. Every month they submit to insurance. It's upsetting to every month have to deal with these stupids. Pharmacy takes pride in hiring people that are the most dumb!
I spent hours, but could not get a small order through their website. Like CVS, there are many repetitive sign in requests, and repetitive requests to pick a store location. At the very end I was asked to provide "contact information" as if that hadn't already been done. Their system said it did not sell toilet paper or paper towels, which of course it does. It's possible that small food items in the store, like small bags of chips, are not on the website. At the end of the process it just got stuck in a loop and would not move forward.
The App wasn't better than the web version for me. It was possibly worse.
I will say, Walgreens has some good employees and other virtues. This review is for the website.
We're suppose to be able to use our otc card online they are refusing! This is HORRIBLE why what's the problem. Customer service saying they have not added it yet,but I can use it in the store I will not!
I will never shop here again, and I'm moving my prescriptions. I have received 4 identical emails from Jill, from the 21st to the 1st. Jill is obviously a bot. Customer service chat promised a refund within 3 business days….a week ago. How did we get here? Walgreens changed my delivery order time, and split it into 3 orders. New time? When I was at work the next day. I reach out to chat to cancel. They tell me to call the store. The store claims to have cancelled. Next morning, I receive an email that 2 of the 3 parts that they split my order into have been delivered. One is nowhere to be found. The second is perishable. I use chat, and am told that they tried to refund it all, but the status is still pending for 2 of the 3 parts that they split it into. They have to open a case to refund the tip. It stays pending for a week. They tell me to return it in store. I go to the local store, and the girl with the 4 inch glitter nails and miles of attitude refuses the return, and tells me to take it back to the store that it came from. Which is nowhere near there, 4 cities away. I contact chat, who again says they can't refund because it's pending. In the meantime I get these emails from Jill the bot, "Sr specialist centralized services, with the same copy and paste. When it is finally not pending a day or two later, I contact them again. They said they can refund right? Nope. They said it needed "manager approval". I tell them I'm reporting it as fraud, and they promise a refund in 3 business days. Who refunded me after 5 business days? PayPal. Then they send me the same copy and paste from "Jill" that's they're working on it. Their chat workers will say "you're welcome" after you say "ok" This is bottom barrel. I have had rudeness and incompetence at the last two pharmacies, where the same girl insisted I had no prescriptions and she couldn't find my name- 4 different times, said that GoodRX didn't work with their pos (lie)and and the second lied to me about a price difference and overcharged me. Now this? I'm happy to change to CVS. Walgreens should be embarrassed by their employees.
I am not waiting on a refill. These are 3 new prescription. I'm quite sick. They were sent in at 8:30 am. At 11am they said another 45 minutes. At 2:15 they said another 1/2 hour, when I tried to explain that 1 persc I didn't need today the rude woman hung up on me!
Prior to our arrival at the store, we called AGAIN to be sure all prescriptions were in fact ready, we were told no only 1 of 5 was ready and it could be hours later (same old usual replies and lack of great service.) in that same call, I stressed the person on the phone to try harder to get the need prescriptions filled. Surprisingly on our arrival they now had all 4 ready. This location is non inviting from an appearance standpoint, it is absolutely a horrible looking location and shows a strong sign of lack of leadership, for it is not just sales inside, it is your people, your presentation of merchandise, and how inviting is it to go to your buisiness. Not to mention so many homeless people laying/sitting outside (I have strong feelings how to help here) but it is a HUGE negative to the business, and somewhat embarrassing for the business or should be. To conclude on one of our recent visit, in checking out the cashier at the front of the store who was helping me if you call it that, was distracted on her phone and in that conversation on work hours, with clients trying to pay the foul language was flying here to say the least. Where is the CEO, I know like most absent from the day to day, and most likely has no clue what is really happening on a daily basis. I own a business, so I have great experiences in many of these mentioned fields. This company needs a lot of help to improve. The general overall rating on the level of customer service in all if not many visits would be a score of less than 1 on scale of 1-10,10 being the best... Think twice about visiting this location and many, maybe think about other pharmacies. Many are out there, its called COMPETITION... Bye the way of the mangers on my last visit here (two days ago) when asked or when I commented on the appearance of the outside look, he responded and I quote "oh, that is by corporate design and direction to cut back" Let me ask you all here to you think the CEO or anyone of their highly paid corporate leaders from the CEO down is cutting back on their own properties look from this standpoint Are they cutting back on the corporate jets use to save money for the company? Are they volunteering to cut back on the egregious salaries (usually and most likely I am correct well into the millions) I would bet not, but the people in the store miss trained or otherwise are making pennies compared to them, are they not more important than the CEO? You bet there are for they are the only way this company or any can work successfully, who are they kidding, no one
So I set up an online account with Walgreens, Name, address, valid debit card number, so I could get certain things delivered without having to drive into town. I'm semi-retired and on Medicare and I have the OTC Network card with a set amount on it every quarter. I heard Walgreens was the best place to use that card, hence the online account. I placed an order today for approximately $53, then entered the OTC Network account number and placed the order. My bank sent me a notice that a business I haven't done business with just extracted money from my personal bank account. I immediately called customer service to to cancel that order, now this all took place in a matter of 4-5 minutes, I was told it was already processed and there was nothing I could do except wait for it to be delivered. I will wait, then do a return. I'm just saying to all you retirees that if you have an OTC Network card, do not order online from Walgreens, go to their store if you like shopping there, I don't, never have, but a friend suggested I should. Some friend, huh? I wish I could give them less than 1 star.
Everytime, I go to Walgreens in WillsPoint, I have issues, maybe they're afraid to fill pain meds. Maybe they can't read, tell time., who knows. It's not Rocket Science, Bass Rutledge in Terrell, Tx. Pull up give them your birthdate, pay for your scripts.Your outta there in less than 3 minutes. You'd be doing yourself a favor, not dealing with employees who have a script in front of them telling how to do there job.
I've written to Walgreens "contact us ". I've spoken with my local Walgreens. I'm done. This is the last prescription I will get from Walgreens. They tell me that this is the smallest bottle they can fit this little bit of pills into. The SMALLEST. We all know, there are smaller bottles available. I've peeled the labels off & put the pills in much smaller bottles, but then I still have to dispose of this huge waste of hard plastic. No more. Be a better business to this planet!
Answer:Absolutely not. Bottom of the line products marked up. Corporate concentrates solely on cutting costs, stock prices and separating as many suckers as possible from their money.
