Think twice before using this service. Twice we have placed sizable orders only to find that they are careless with the care that they give the food to be delivered. Sauces are always in the bottom of the bag or overturned rendering the food much less palatable. When called upon to give account for this kind of service, they seem to not be willing to give a fair refund without hassles. I will not be using them again nor recommending them either.
I'm soooooo pissed off at doordash! Back in January, I ordered using them. When I got my food, it was cold and looked like someone picked at it, and my drink was only 3/4 full and had floaties in it. So, I called doordash and asked for my money back and to close my account in its entirety and lose my debit card info. They said they would and I thought nothing of it. For the next 3 mos, they charged me $9.99 for a subscription to dash pass that I never signed up for and somehow still had my debit card info! So I've called them multiple times. Over a month ago, they were supposed to refund all 3 charges within 3-5 business days. Over a month goes by without refund, so I call back again about 2 weeks ago and get emails saying they will refund the charges in 3-5 business days. Youd think now that I have hard proof it would happen, right? Nope. Been on the phone for over 2 hrs with an outsourced call center with people with heavy Tagalog accents who are difficult to understand, and all they want to do is give me excuses and say that it was my fault for not noticing I was being charged sooner, and that they are not obligated to refund my money! I already it in writing and the phone call recorded! WTF?! Moral of the story, use anyone but doordash! They are the absolute worst!
On Saturday 04/13/19 my experience went beyond bad. I felt harassed and uncomfortable. My order was placed and then promptly picked up. I then noticed the driver icon on the app was driving in the opposite direction of my location. After 30 minutes (and I was only 5 minutes away from the restaurant) I attempt to contact help/customer service, I was on hold for 15minutes, as the driver pulled up. She rudely shoved my food at me and when confronted the driver about taking my order around town she was rude in her body language, tone and eye rolling she stated she was making an Uber delivery. I had placed a DoorDash order so her Uber obligations are not my concern. I voiced that I would be making a complaint and she stated she can't control where they send her. She then proceeded to sit outside my place of work directly outside my office and Stare into my window at me for more than 5 minutes. She had no business to remain there and it was unsettling. The containers to my food looked as if they had been opened I had to throw it away as I am concerned she may have done something to it. I have made several attempts to continue to get in contract with DoorDash as I was charged, and had a horrible experience. To date, I have not received any resolution.
Wow... first order was fine. Second order was so late it spilled into a meeting at work. Order three was fine, I mistakenly thought I didn't get an item... got a partial credit. Realized my mistake, offered them to take the credit back. Order four the guy claimed he didn'thave My exact address and instructions, then they mixed up the order. The offered me another credit which I refused, then explained I wouldn't use the service again... so I didn't need a credit on my account. I was Told I'd get a call to sort out the issues... never happened. Got a form email to which I called them out on. They... cherry on top... Iwas told Icomplained to much so I wasn't getting a credit I already turned down. Please explain to me how this works as a business model.
So a dasher came to my house hit my mailbox when I called customer support they offered me 5$ compensation then when I asked to speak to a supervisor the supervisor offered me a discount off my next order. This place is awful. It is known for being horrible as far as correcting issues and now I'm on the internet slandering their name and I don't ever do this. This might be the first review I've ever wrote on anything, but door dash; you've earned it.
I ordered two burgers from Burger Monger and both came to my house RAW. I contacted Burger Monger and they weren't taking responsibility for the not prepared food. They then were putting the responsibility onto Door Dash, so I contacted them to see what could be done about my situation. I was on the phone with someone in customer service and they told me that they would be able to refund me and give me $5 credit, or reorder the meal for me and give me $5 credit. I repeatedly asked to talk to a manager and kept being brushed off and was told that the manager would offer me the exact same thing. This food would've made my father and I sick if we had eaten it. I'm not going to eat from Burger Monger or use Door Dash again. Terrible way to treat anyone when you work in customer service.
I wish there was zero stars! Text saying driver was arriving while sitting on front porch. The. Text saying delivered? No food or cat ever came close to my door. Then tried to reach door dash and had 4 " dropped" chat windows until I finally reached someone. They tell me your food was deliver to your porch at 7:07pm. NO IT WAS NOT! Finally an hour later of dropped chats I get a refund but still no food. This was was first attempt at food delivery and probably my last
I have had nothing but headaches with this service. The people that deliver the food have been very nice and polite, my issue is with the company itself and its (lack of) customer service. I ordered 4 times from them total, each time I ordered a drink and each time (except this last time), our drinks were missing. I went to try them again last night and their server was refusing to remove a promotion so that I could apply $12.28 in credit to a delivery instead. Called customer service, they apologized and added a $5.00 credit. We decided to order pizza from a local chain not through doordash, but today we decided to use the $17.28 credit towards lunch from McDonalds (2 combos and a breakfast burrito) which came to $23.47.
*They took the ENTIRE amount from my bank without using the $17.28 credit AND the credits were removed from my account*. I called customer service to remedy this situation and was told there was nothing they were willing to do! They insisted on gaslighting me with "it says on the receipt you saved $3.00"... They are crooks hiding behind a company. Use a different service if you expect fair pricing and acceptable customer service!
They say it's confirmed. And the restaurant has got the order. Then says it's on the way. Hours later no food, and they don't refund your money. Credit back to your account so you have to use them again. Then when you do that, well it happens again.
They are now in Canada and I recently received a flyer in the mail with an add for DoorDash and saw some commercials on TV so I thought I give them a try. I installed the app on my phone and it took some getting used to as I was used to another food app that is much more user friendly. The first time I tried to order was a bust. I was ready to place the order and it didn't go through as the restaurant was closed but the app had not warned me. The second order was also a bust because I had ordered something that was not available at the particular restaurant where the "dasher" was headed so I was forced to cancel the order because there is no way to communicate with them or to modify orders and it said that the store manager would substitute with the "best fit". The restaurants do not give you an option to make comments on the app like "no ice in drink" like I always do. The second order arrived COLD and was gross. It took me some time to sort out how to get to actually "chat" with customer service about this and had to wait a looooong time to talk to someone. I got a ridiculous small refund for 2 whole meals plus some extras that were all spoiled. Who likes to eat cold sweet potato fries, onion rings, burgers, etc.? I WAS ANGRY but because I had a credit I ordered again. And again,... we received cold, gross food and again,... I only got a partial refund for a ridiculous small amount after spending a LOT of time and effort. I am still emailing with them and get the most ridiculously stupid auto generated emails from them saying that because of my ACCOUNT HISTORY THEY CAN'T GIVE ME A CREDIT. Because I had a credit on my account I ordered again last night and low and behold..., we had a gross meal... - the burgers were under cooked (raw) and we had to throw them out. They were the kind of burgers that you buy in grocery store anyway. What reputable restaurant serves that kind of burgers? I rated the order BAD but don't expect anything from this DoorDash and have learned that I am wasting my time complaining.
Doordash has messed up several orders now due to my "account history" they refuse to fix any mistakes on their end. That is fine though I refuse to ever use doordash again. I will be telling my friends and clients not to use them.
The cost is not worth the service. I suggest going and picking up your own food. By the time your food gets to you it's cold and tastes like crap. I wanted to have some ribs from Apple Bees but sadly does not offer delivery :( If I place my order direct with the restaurant and pick up it up myself its $42.00 plus a little of my time. With Door Dash its $72 and a lot of waiting. I believe the drivers don't give a "F***" about there customers and they sure don't care about the restaurants reputation. If I own an establishment I would think Twice about using door dash for delivering my food to anyone. In the long run you will lose business. Just my opinion. Customer Service SUCKS !
I have had two experiences with this company- both terrible. The first was when I ordered food through them, and received it over an hour late. I got a notification saying my order had been picked up and then it did not arrive until an hour later. I live 10 minutes from the restaurant, and I checked my GPS to make sure there wasn't any traffic, which there wasn't. I never got a call or message in the hour between when it was picked up and dropped off, and the only explanation I got from the driver was "technical difficulties". What does that even mean? My food was of course cold and ruined. When I emailed customer service they were not very apologetic at all, just told me they would credit me $3 for free delivery next time. I had just signed up so I got free delivery for 30 days. I immediately emailed back and said I thought that was hardly fair considering I had spent way more on my food and my entire dinner was ruined. I received an email in one minute that said the case had been closed "due to inactivity." It had literally been a minute since my reply to them, and only a few minutes since my initial complaint. I could not believe how uncaring and unprofessional they handled the situation. I vowed never to use them again. A few months later I ordered food online from a restaurant and chose delivery, unbeknownst to me they used DoorDash. My food never came. I called the restaurant 5 minutes before close and got a refund. It had been an hour and a half since I ordered. I only use UberEats now, and out of the probably 50 times I've used them, I had one small issue where part of my order was missing and they immediately sent the entire order again for free. Do yourself a favor and never use DoorDash.
Asked by the website to contact the "Door dasher" regarding my order. No response. Arrival of food has yet to occur, they reported being at my house at 7:45pm, it's waaaaay after 8pm. Per the website they haven't even picked up the food which means an hour late. Have tried to make contact with the company regarding inquiry of order with zero response. I do not recommend using this website unless you plan on having very cold food.
This is a food delivery place. I was shocked when my food arrived at the hotel and the driver texts me in Spanish that I had to go to the Hotel Parking Lot to pick up the food in his car. He stated he had a bad knee and could come up. When i said I could not because I had just taken a shower and it was raining and cold that he would have to come up he texted back and said he could not and took off with my food. I called Door Dash who has gotten the order wrong the 2 previous times I ordered from them and they said the could order again and that I had to wait for another hour for the food to be delivered did not offer compensation. They could care less that my child and I did not get the food or that the Dasher stole the food and did not even leave it in the front desk. I called Door Dash and they did not care ONE HINT ASK FOR A SUPERVISOR AND WHEN THEY SAY NO DON'T HANG UP THEY CANT HANG UP ON YOU. THEY WILL CONVINCE YOU TO HANG UP AND SUPERVISOR WILL CALL YOU BACK BUT DON, T DO THAT STAY ON THEY CANT HANG UP ON YOU.
Door Dash customer support person Clark David M, refused to refund us for items never received. We have multiple front door cameras and were watching them during the ETA, but no car or person came near our address or rang our door bell. Clark David M responds stating that it is DOORDASH POLICY TO NOT REFUND FOR ITEMS NOT RECEIVED. Therefore, anyone can work for Doordash, not deliver items and refuse refund. This was our 2nd time ordering from Doordash and our last time. The first time, the food arrived cold, but we said nothing. DOORDASH IS A FRAUDULENT COMPANY. WE HAVE CAMERAS TO PROVE IT.
Horrible experience. I scheduled a delivery at 2 in the afternoon for 645 at night. At 7, I was told it would be there at 8pm. At 730 we decided to pick up from somewhere else because we couldn't wait any longer. When the food arrived it was cold. The restaurant said it had been sitting there since 5:57. When I contacted the company, I was told 5.00 credit was all they could give me. I've had much better experience with Grubhub and Caviar.
HORRIBLE! We were celebrating my mom's 87th birthday. The DoorDash driver couldn't reach me by phone. He didn't bother to ask the receptionist at the nursing home who was expecting the delivery, Instead he advised DoorDash the order couldn't be delivered. I was told DoorDash refused a refund, refused a reorder, and told the driver to keep the food! Customer service has hit an all time LOW! This is my first and LAST experience with DoorDash and advise you to find another company to deliver your food. Preferably with drivers having more than 2 brain cells and a company caring about their customers!
I placed and order for sushi that was only 2 miles from my house. I ordered roughly around 8:30PM and the order confirmation said it would be around 45 minutes which is normal. I got a notification around 930 saying my order would be at my door in 10 minutes. Then 5 minutes later I got an order saying it would be at my house in 75 minutes? I called the driver instantly and he said yes that isn't a mistake and to contact customer service. The customer service was HORRIBLE the girl on the phone kept lying to me and saying it was my fault. And saying she could only give me a $5 credit on a $50 check? No thanks. I will give my business and money to somewhere else.
DO NOT ORDER WITH THEM! They have absolutely no compassion for their customers what so ever. They are rude and when I try to contact them no one responded until days later and I got a computer response. The response was so rude and unprofessional as a company serving customers. I use to order through door dash almost every day faithfully. So I am very familiar with the way it works. I ordered the food which I watched from my phone. I waited for the driver to come no one ever came. I finally got the message that my driver left with the food and that they will not refund my money. I emailed customer service asap who did not even respond right away. They took my money and did not even offer to try the delivery again or give a credit through the company. That is so wrong that you are even allowed to do this basically I paid for your driver to have food and you did nothing to help me the customer! This was the first time this ever happen to me and I was so upset.

Answer: Grubhub has lower rates now. Even on restaurants with higher fees, it is worth avoiding Doordash

Answer: First, DoorDash collects a tip BEFORE you get service. I always tip, so should you. Ubereats lets you tip AFTER you get service - better. Caveat - getting your tip back from DoorDash for bad service is almost impossible.
