Ordering from door dash and the driver didnt give us our food that we had payed over 50$ for. When we messaged customer service they told us there was nothing we could do about it! And it took multiple messages for them to even consider giving us a refund for our order which never came. And in the end they didn't even give us a full refund. The person on the other end of the customer service had a strong attitude saying phrases like "too bad" and ending the conversation before a conclusion was reached. So in the end we are down 50$ and dont have the food we payed for.
To make a payment you have to use 2 cards with the same address lol. That is so stupid
Last time I'm ordering by doordash
I remember using them the first time several years ago and it wasn't great so while I use a lot of the other services for food delivery I haven't used them since. I didn't realize the order I put in today was going through them until it was delivered (apparently when you order through Google it uses DoorDash) When I received the bag that was supposed to be sealed was opened up and the sandwiches inside you could tell were opened up, it's like they weren't even trying to hide it. That's definitely worth taking the time to write a bad review especially their response. I'm not sure what happened but I was really grossed out. Especially considering not just during a pandemic but – doordash automatically tips but they automatically tip at 20% and on smaller orders it's obviously a lot less, and doesn't let you change it apparently until later. The driver won't know I have an extra tip for them regardless of what DoorDash pays them on top of what DoorDash tips which is 20% but still I can see a driver not being happy with their tip and doing something gross, pretty sure that's why the packages are usually sealed when they arrive. After contacting DoorDash and taking all my information and dragging things out in the end they just told me I had to contact the restaurant. The restaurant was good about it as they do always seal their food but it's almost like DoorDash complicated things and made it worse. They made me go through them took my information and they told me how to go to the restaurant.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!
We have been using door dash for a bit and I can say all of the advertising does not mention the complete lack of customer service and negligence by this company and its employees.
If we break it down this company essentially takes the place of servers in a restaurant. But if you dont pay attention, you are required to tip the drivers before they bring your food. This creates a complete lack of quality of service. We have experienced missing orders, items missing and late orders. This has resulted in many call to the home company.
In talking to the corporate company this is the same as talking to the manager at a restaurant. Usually they are understanding and in a face to face encounter in public people are forced to work together and solve the problem. The inherent problem with this company is that they can just ignore you.
The only way to bring about a better process with a company or restaurant is to work threw the problems Door Dash does not do this. They dont keep there employees (the drivers) in check and the service is getting progressively worse.
This spells doom for any company and I just want others to be aware so they dont fall prey to this poor excuse for a business.
I completely shut down my Door Dash accounts. Granted Door Dash does give a portion of your money back when issues arise. This still does not make up for constantly getting cold, undercooked food and items usually missing. Since this is an on going problem with door dash and basically and delivery companies. IE Grub Hub or Postmates as well it is not worth paying the outrageous service fees and tipping a dasher who flat out does not bother to check to see if the order is complete. I asked a Door Dash driver one time about missing items and I was told, not my problem pal contact the merchant. Well that does not bode well with me after you tip a person in advance like Door Dash requires and that person is too lazy to do their job. Which is to deliver what I ordered, completely. It's worth my time and money saved just driving myself to the place and picking it. I save on an average of $20 to $30 dollars rather than using the over price delivery places.
After numerous times trying to contact Doordash mgmt regarding their delivery person stealing mail re: taking responsibility for their delivery person breaking in and robbing our building (all on video), they refuse to acknowledge any communications. They would also not cooperate with the police re: the police report that was filed. The police said there have many similar Doordash incidents and Doordash never responds to the local authorities.
If you value your safety, do not use Doordash
I placed my order before 8 pm yesterday for 2 popcorn shrimp combos and a family chicken meal for easter dinner with my family. What I received was two chicken sandwich small meals to feed everyone. I immediately talked to the door dash delivery person and was told just file a complaint. However then I got a hold of door dash I was told I was being credited 15 something and $10 and my correct order would be redelivered. An hour later and still no food then I got a hold of door dash again and was told oops no redelivery was even ordered on their end. Then it was reordered a 3rd time. Another hour later was told there were no dashers available and my order was just sitting waiting. I canceled it. Here is my real issue. Right after I got the wrong order popeye's closed at 9. But no one from door dash could tell me that instead they kept us waiting until after 10 pm for food that I paid over $60 for. I used door dashquite often several times a week and I will no longer use service again! What happened to taking accountability for mistakes? What happened to taking care of your customers!
Rude. Driver called one time and never attempted to deliver our food and restaurant called driver when food was sitting for over an hour. Door dash customer service did not speak English and was rude. I will never use door dash nor will anyone I know.
Worst customer service experience in YEARS! I asked for a simple callback and their escalations team was incapable of having someone call me back. Seriously you fraudulently charged my card twice AFTER I removed my billing details and then you can't be bothered to follow through with a callback... Seriously I would not EVER recommend this company. I will be sending social media and written inquiries to the companies that trust them in ERROR to delivier their food. WORST COMPANY EVER! AND YES I am saying that as a working single woman! WORST COMPANY EVER! I have chat transcripts if you would like to have copies... worst service
Deleted my doordash app and deactivated my dashpass. NEVER using this app again. All I have had was trouble with either the drivers or food. I'm done using this app. Gave it many chances after each mistake but now I'm just over it and done. I'm tired of receiving the wrong food and then fighting for credit.
They add $2 to EACH ITEM ordered as compared to restaurant's menu prices, add a delivery fee AND a service fee, plus the driver's tip! It doesn't make sense to order from them, especially if the restaurant offers it's own delivery. You'll save money for each item, no service fee, and a smaller delivery fee.
I am a front desk worker at Hampton inn. In Richmond KY, ******* and i watched a door dasher, after taking the food to the person who ordered, proceed to steal both a drink and a snack from our concession stands. Now unfortunately there are no correct channels to reporting such behavior directly so i am reduced to this. Nothing will be done this way obviously but there should definitely be a direct channel for this issue. She was about 5'5 heavy set young african american with short black hair and she made a delivery to hamton inn on the date of 03/13/21 at around 8:00 p.m.
Hey has anyone else experienced the following: when I placed a DoorDash order the food wasn't delivered, and when I requested a refund the app said I couldn't be reimbursed due to "account history". Let me know if this is happening to anyone else in MA: *******@gmail.com.
Ordered from DoorDash yesterday. Used their online site, not app. I have used DoorDash before and seen tech problems but this was the worst. I was ordering lunch and desert from the CheeseCake Factory. ($6.99 delivery fee).
As I ordered, the cart kept saying it was empty. So I kept putting the same items in the cart. The site never synced, never said "order placed." Finally it did.
Twenty minutes later there were 5 ORDERS on my porch from Cheesecake Factory. Then not ten minutes after that, two more came! I never got any texts that my ordered was being prepared, only several AFTER it had been delivered.
I called DoorDash and they said someone would get back to me, they haven't. Unlike GRUBHUB, DoorDash doesn't care. They have no real support and have had tech problems forever. I am out $200 for a bunch of desserts I never ordered.
Am taking this up with my bank but in the meantime, am definitely calling the Better Business Bureau. DON'T LET DOORDASH CONTINUE TO RIP US OFF, be vocal.
Have used Door Dash about a dozen times, and never once has the order been up to the standard it should be. Sometimes the order is wrong, sometimes items are missing, and the food is always (100% of the time) COLD. Which I find peculiar, because when I go to pick it up myself, I can always manage to get it back home while it is still hot. Worse yet, is that it is virtually impossible to get any response at all from Door Dash. I have completed their survey EVERY time, complaining that the food was cold, but I never get a comment, email, or phone call back. Complaints must go into a black hole somewhere. Door Dash is great at confirming your order and taking your money, but could care less about customer satisfaction or making it right.
I won't use Doordash in Angola, IN because of their choice to hire Rochelle Malott. Terrible delivery person! Avoid at all costs!

We ordered 2 pizzas from California Pizza Kitchen in Jacksonville Florida through DoorDash online. It did not take long for our pizza to arrive and the dasher knocked on the door as per my request. I went to the door to get my pizzas and he had set the bag upright at the door and when we opened the boxes of course both pizzas were rolled up at one end and all the toppings were stuck to the lids. Also, none of the boxes or bags were sealed up. So I called DoorDash and I spoke with a man that we had a language barrier between the 2 of us but we made it through and he called California Pizza Kitchen and replaced the order and assured me that I would have my pizza soon. The strange thing is, this man was literally singing to me on the phone and laughing in cutting up. Very unprofessional! About 40 minutes later I had not received a text or anything about the pizza so I called the restaurant and they assured me that they did receive another order and that it was marked DoorDash but no one had picked it up and it was sitting in the warming window. So I called DoorDash again to get another man that we have a language barrier, after looking at the account he found that the other man did not note the account at all and all he could see was the order that I had put in and that was delivered messed up. I asked him if he could dispatch someone to the restaurant to pick it up and he said that he could not do that from where he was at. Long story short my husband had to go out and get the pizza and bring it home! It was cold by the time he got home because it sat in their warming window too long. I had already tipped Patrick when I paid for my food and am very upset that he messed up our dinner and that my husband ended up having to go get the Pizza in the end!
I sent an email to the Contact email address and their reply back to me was that I did not report it in a timely manner and they said "sorry"… Seriously? I sent the email the night this happened! Do not use this service it is such a ripoff!
Drove for them had good ratings but frustrating trying to talk to customer support as they literally don't understand English and a problems may take up to an hour to resolve because of their limited understanding. I reported a life or death situation which they sent us to and the answer was did you complete the delivery and the next day BOOM I was deactivated. We literally were almost killed. This company needs to be looked at or shut down
I thought I'd try out the service but have never used so am attempting to quit but I can not remove any of my personal information including my credit card number. I have emailed the company. Meanwhile, thought I'd try a chat and the person on other end just keeps asking me why. The fact that I just decided to quit isn't enough. He seems to think something must have gone wrong. No wonder you guys have a bad rating. Which I did not know until now. Just give me back my info!
Why is it that when a driver accepts a McDonald's order and takes 10 minutes to get there the order is still not ready on top of that the driver has to wait an additional 8 to 10 minutes at McDonald's while they start the order by the time you deliver the order it only paid 3 to $5 but you spent half an hour trying to get the food from point A to point b This is completely ridiculous there's no reason why McDonald's should be taking this long with people's orders I will never accept another DoorDash order that requires someone to pick up at McDonald's because it's totally not worth it drivers are not being paid by the hour to be waiting so long.

Answer: Grubhub has lower rates now. Even on restaurants with higher fees, it is worth avoiding Doordash
Answer: They first send you to a robot and then an outsourced person in India I believe. There is no communication between drivers and the customer service so it's unhepful
Answer: First, DoorDash collects a tip BEFORE you get service. I always tip, so should you. Ubereats lets you tip AFTER you get service - better. Caveat - getting your tip back from DoorDash for bad service is almost impossible.
