The Driver did not Deliver

I ordered Covid rapid test kits from a drugstore. After "rescheduling" the delivery twice, the package had not come. I called Door Dash. They said this was the driver's first delivery and she had the wrong address. My copy of the order clearly had the right address. Door Dash told me the driver had returned the items to the drugstore. I called the drugstore and found out the driver had attempted to return the test kits for a refund and had not left the package there. Two days and numerous phone calls later, I'm expecting a refund and do have a reference number for it, but I suspect drivers are not adequately vetted nor trained and I will never again request delivery from a merchant who uses Door Dash.

Worst Service

My order somehow was delivered to the wrong address they told the driver and he stated oh well I need to leave it here not my problem. So now I'm out food and money. I will never use this service again.

Worthless

Every order that I have ever placed through this company has been late, or canceled. They always give coupons for future purchases, why would I wanna purchase through them again! Send refunds!

Company is a pyramid scheme in which good hard-working people pay for delivery and good hard-working people deliver food. They then pay drivers almost nothing and charge customers huge fees for doing nothing. Apps arent that expensive to maintain. CEO is not American. He also (more than likely) talks poorly and looks down upon drivers behind closed doors. He's rich while everyone else did the actual work. Go America. I disliked driving for them. I disliked ordering from them. Fees too high and pay way too low. Truly a disrespectful disgrace.

Beware

It's getting worse and worse it seems like door dash don't screen these merchants I'm still getting food not stapled in a bag and drinks just with a top if the driver wanted a sip they could do this and the drivers retaliate if they see you don't tip. I've decided to let door dash go they can be fair about refunding but it works better for them if it's in door dash credits. They will only refund after so many times so let's say if I get a credit for a bad hot dog today and I order using credits get a bad taco they may give you a credit but let's say if you get a bad burger they will tell you no but ask for a supervisor which the agents hate to contact out of fear you will usually get credit no one has money to waste these days or food to throw away because the merchant didn't prepare it correctly. My advice go for the mom and pop businesses especially with Mexican food if they are new they put love into it stay away from Panda Express /Burger King better to go in person don't order late at night they put no heart into the food. Best advice cook your own food too much money to pay for mediocre food that's not worth it.

I was called a $#*! by their driver because I asked her to delivery my grocery store outside the door. The driver left with my grocery, returned the grocery to the store and told the store manager that I called her a $#*!.
Worst company ever.

Items Never Delivered

The worse customer service EVER! The delivery driver never delivered my food. Don't know where he went after I buzzed him into my building, 5 floors, 115 apts. I contacted DoorDash & they refused to reimburse my $$. When I escalated the complaint, they said I had "several compensations" within 60 days & they could not compensate me anymore. WTF! If my order was not correct or something was missing, I am not paying for it, just as though I was at the restaurant. And certainly if I didn't receive my food, I shouldn't have to pay for it ANYWAY! Nobody in their right mind would! I'm sure DoorDash folks wouldn't! What a sneaky way to SCAM the public!

I have had three cancellation of my orders from DOORDASH at the last minute to be told system malfunctions, They are not dependable for food delivery. I work from home and unable get out for lunch due to workload deadlines and receiving these not being able to receive your order due to cancellation at the last minute is not good and the important factor is, I did not cancel any of the orders. This has happened to me three times within the span of three weeks, then you have to wait for your refund three to five days. I AM DONE WITH THESE PEOPLE!

A lot of male drivers use women's names so the customer expects a woman to deliver their food but a male shows up instead. When I asked one of the guys about this, he said he just had a sex change. If I hadn't included his tip in with my food order I wouldn't have tipped the flippant delivery man at all. From now on, if a restaurant uses DoorDash I won't be getting their food delivered.

This poses a danger to female customers and is dishonest. DoorDash should prohibit such practices by their drivers but apparently they don't.

Miserable experience!

The delivery person got lost and then CANCELED my order. I called the company and they acted like they were doing me a favor by refunding my money (for food I never got- gee thanks!). They offered nothing more. So, after 2 hours of waiting for food that never arrived, 20 mins on the phone with "customer service" to find out what happened, their solution was for me to start over with another order at full price. Seriously? Why would I ever use this service again? TERRIBLE customer service. This was my first order with them too. Uggg.

So many times my food has come cold they deliver to other people and they see their tips! I think they should be tipped after the delivery if my food comes cold I'll give you a bad tip if my food comes good and hot I'll give you better tip! And that's how it should be

We will never use this service again. And any restaurant that uses them is out as well. They forgot our soup twice and they were told twice by Panera to bring it. Door Dash refuses to come back with our soup. Never ever use this service. Ever. Never.

I made an order online through Walmart for delivery and they use Door Dash. The order that was just delivered was not delivered by the dasher assigned to my order but by some guy she knows who is "helping" her deliver orders. I tried to call her several times and the first time she picked up would not say anything. The other 7 times I tried to call it went straight to voicemail and the automated system said her voicemail is full. I was trying to make sure she found my place because it's literally behind 2 other houses and several delivery people have problems finding my place. Why is this dasher having this guy deliver orders for her instead doing it herself? He's not getting paid for it. It's a good thing I went outside and dude actually found my place. As you can see by the photo, they don't like to take pics of where they actually leave orders. Just the general vacinity.If I could actually call Door Dash and them look up my Walmart order I would report this dasher. As it is, I gave this dasher 1 star and no tip cause she never actually showed up herself. This is the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen, concerning delivery drivers. Smh.

Gas prices

In Pennsylvania gas prices are $4.60 the base pay needs to be more the tip needs to be more myself as a Dasher will not take anything less than $7 due to these gas prices both the customer and doordash has to put this in consideration as we are driving around with the bad GPS you give us. The people ordering has to realize we are the ones in the Drive-Thru we are the ones waiting in line we are the ones wasting our gas are wearing tear on the vehicles people would get better service if it was better tips and better base pay. So for doordash and customers ordering three door dash please take all this and consideration

Bad Service

The driver would not bring my food to my apartment. She said she my apartment numbert was not in the app. I provided the apartment number but she still would not bring it up. I am disabled and cannot walk which is why I ordered food for delivery. The conformation email has my building number and apartment number. The food was returned to the restaurant. DoorDash can't figure out how to refund my money.

Door dash as an app/company is great. Customer service issued me a refund with no questions asked. I give them props for that. But they must just let anyone deliver for them. I ordered lunch. And normally it will say "driver is approaching" well it did not. I then got a message that the order was delivered. The driver left my food at some random business half way across town! I sent them a message with no response and called them and was met with a response of "I left it at *blank blank* store" and my response was "well you still didn't bring it to my house". I had to give the driver my address 4 times and I guess that still wasn't enough. I contacted support and they were fabulous and gave me a refund and credit points to my account. I then got a phone call from someone else from support asking me to send the driver my address (again). I did so, and still no food was delivered. I mean I'm grateful I got my money back. But if someone can't follow simple directions and use a GPS, and then just leave someone's food sitting in front of a business that isn't even open on sundays. They shouldn't be driving for a delivery service!
