Do not fall for any Direct TV promotion you will be sorry. Direct TV spends an enormous amount of time and money on promotions which end up being a complete misrepresentation.

Unaffordable

I have cancelled my subscription and then was hounded sales calls. After listening to a sales call, I decided to resubscribe to DIRECTV. I had to sign a 24 month contract with the understanding that I had logged into a price for that 24 months. To find out that I only had 12 months of the price guarantee. After 12 months, I called and talked to one by three representatives of DIRECTV and was told all three representatives that the price guarantee could not be reinstated for my final 12 months of the contract. At this point, it is actually cheaper to cancel my subscription and pay the cancellation fee which will be half of the inflated price for the final 12 months. I will be canceling my DIRECTV subscription soon, and will not go back to DIRECTV After being a loyal customer for 10+ years.

Worst customer service in the universe. 4 different people to get to the "decision maker". $20 compensation for losing the channels we watch 40% of the time. F… them. I am not paying the last bill and will go to court to defend these Nazi's. Arrogant, unfair, etc. And by the way, the package includes bay tv which I don't watch and consider a perversion but they make me pay for that trash. Suck me direct tv.

I was with directv for 15 years I moved to a place that did not allow directv and paid my bill for the month and was told I would get refunded for half the month which has not happened they are trying to tell me now that their service charges are a month behind so I won't get my money back and the customer service people are rude and don't help out mor speak clear English

DO Not get DirecTV! The rating is a minus 10 between 1 & 5! Unfortunately where I live we cannot get cable or Internet services. So, whe got DirecTV. Huge mistake! First of all you have to sign an agreement, which I do not mind, if you get the service they promised you. It did/has not happened. Three months into our agreement our signal is out again. We are once again waiting for a service technician to come out. When you call to talk to some one from another country that you cannot understand a word they are saying. Our country have gone to Hell! AGAIN DO NOT GET DIRECTV!

Do not get this service. They $#*!ing suck $#*!. All their channels get canceled due to both the channel and DIRECTV fighting like little $#*!ing babies over money. But yet you still have us pay the same rate you're a $#*!ty company you have $#*!ty service especially in the rain and snow and cold season. It always goes in and out of service while you're watching. Right now the latest channel to go is king 5 if you're living in the Seattle Washington area again if you're looking for service do not get this at all. You pay for a $#*!ty service and you get none of your extras because they are always blacked out or they say you're not signed up for this channel so you have to call and fight with them for a $#*!ing hour it's not worth it stay away they are gutter punks

Losing channels

They loss major channels due to disputes with the channels owner. Take weeks even months to get the channel back on. But they don't reduce your bill while it's off

We got out of the cable company because of cost. Thinking this would be better. Well we were wrong. We got a TV package for cheaper. But being hockey fans we realized that there was no Nesn channel in our package. So I call to have it added. Was told I would have to upgrade to a higher level for 50 dollars more a month. And was never told at the beginning that it was a 2 yr contract. Would have never went with it if we knew that. So they lied and they are pirates. The way they run. Nothing but lies to get you to go for there company.

We were with out our NBC affiliate for over two months this summer. We are now without our ABC affiliate, as fees are negotiated. As I am paying for these channels, DIRECTV has not come to me to lower what I am paying. In addition, I received an email today that said I was eligible for a local channel connection. I had to call a phone number, to receive the LCC device and was told the wait time was 15 minutes. I was on the line over an hour and a half before I spoke to anyone, only to find out that my area is not eligible for the connection. The service rep was excellent, but there is no way for me to speak to any of the officers in charge to level a complaint.

Terrible Service

Direct TV expects people to set everything up on there own. It's way to difficult and many seniors are clueless. If you call to get a service rep for assistance the phone call is another whole problem getting someone to talk to. So we have a kit and know clue how to install it. I will probably have to send it back and pay the $500 fee. Please inform people you know that you have to do everything yourself and stay away from Direct TV

I emailed the content below several times. Spent hours on the phone & chat! They intentionally want to wear you out. They know that that are on their way out of business. Horrible customer service and reviews. They will have No customer Retention and eventually go bankrupt. Therefore they do not care about the customer. They just want to suck in as much money as possible before the inevitable happens!

I was scammed by a person named Gabriel at *******616. ( Slick Retailer)
I am older, and after I realized what it happened, I canceled with Direct TV immediately I never gave written consent for anything!
You sent me over 20 emails trying to get me to agree to this I've kept every one of them as reference of you being over aggressive & harassing me! I did not respond to any of them. I did not agree to anything! You are wanting to charge me $480 For having equipment from Nov 15th to Nov 22 (7days)
Everyone is on the other side of a situation at some point in life. I cannot believe a company would not be better to their customers. If you have any hopes of retention with customers, then drastic change is necessary! These actions by you are a sign of lack of integrity and worst customer representation I ever experienced! This is purely unethical business practices!

Horrible

I had them in the past and they were great so when I moved, I decided to contact them again. I also asked for Internet. They contacted a secondary company didn't let me know. It was a secondary company. The internet company showed up (who I thought was direct tv until I signed upon completion) damaged my home and hooked up Internet That wasn't even powerful enough to run my TV n it never worked. Of course both companies charged me like it worked. Then the company told me that I needed to return their satellite dish parts that were located on my roof if not, they were going to charge me. So I was already really pissed with DIRECTV. I decided to get rid of it so I was waiting for the boxes to send their stuff back after two months of waiting I called and then they told me they weren't coming n asked me a disabled mom to drop it off at the UPS so within a month of me talking to them I drop their equipment off. I just received a bill for over 400$ n I've had this number blowing my phone up. It turns out it's DIRECTV is trying to charge me $400 for these boxes I had. These people have been calling me for five times a day from different numbers harassing the $#*! out of me about money I don't even owe DIRECTV. I'm at a point where I'm afraid to hire a pest control guy because all these big companies are dropping the ball so much n I'm tired of fighting them over these insane bull$#*! bills n then costing me $ n damaging my home. They try to send me a bill after they mess up! So now I get to waste time fighting with DIRECTV after they were the reason why the boxes didn't get returned on time! I love how they're allowed to completely dropped the ball and then they expect me to jump up and go handle their mistake if not they charge me. Like seriously if you can't find decent employees that know what they're doing then you need to step down n stop trying to $#*! on ur customers.

Avoid at all cost!

"Upgraded" equipment never worked although technician here over 2 day period. No TV for 2 weeks and canceled. Now I have a bill for two years cancelation fee. Also, when agent says her supervisor will call you right back, it's a trick to get you off the line.They don't call.

The rep literally had me on hold for 45minutes because I wanted to cancel my service. She kept giving me the run around and saying that department was busy! This service is far too expensive compared to streaming elsewhere! They refuse to remove the dish from your home as well! Terrible customer service

THE WORST PROVIDER EVER!

Don't lose your satellite connection. It will take days to restore, if you're lucky. Even after being a customer for over 20 years, it matters none. There is no VIP treatment. Obviously will be revisiting other providers as soon as possible.

Worst service ever!

Don't do it. It has got to be the worst experience ever! From their long waiting times on the phone to their AI on the the calls. Their crappy service, to the hoops needed to jump through to get it to simply work is ridiculous! I haven't even mentioned the contract yet! I am ridiculously upset at this whole experience...if you can't tell. I cant say it enough...Don't do it!

Directv is a loser

I was induced to sign up by a promised $200 credit card. I just spent over an hour talking to three reps who each had a different story about why I didn't get it. They do not impress for candor or fair dealing. The service is not first class; it is frequently unresponsive and difficult to use. I can't wait until the end of my subscription, with the hope that they go out of business earlier..

They are so petty, they put up a news mix channel and only put liberal channels on it, plus 2 weather channels. They put Newsmax on and another so called conservative channel but put a gay channel between them. What a bunch of $#*!s.

We have had DirecTV since 2000. Where we live, there isn't any other option. DirecTV was great until AT&T bought them, and now like their wireless service, it is the worst! All call centers are in the Phillippines, if you're lucky enough to get someone who speaks english, you can't understand them. We carry an $8.99 per month service plan, for all their equipment. Called Friday and after 30 minutes on the phone, finally got a service call set up for Monday 10/23/23. They were specifically told that the cable needed to placed in PVC, to prevent dog from chewing it. The technician arrived, had no idea why he was here, he said they do not carry anything like that on the truck. I had some and provided it and assistance in protecting the cable, now I have to go buy clips to secure everything, because they don't even have those. Today I got an email and they decided without permission to move us to the Protection Plan Premiere, which we don't need, and is $20.99 per month. My wife just spent more than 30 minutes on the phone with Sandy, who could not be understood, trying to get this straightened out. We still don't know if it has been fixed. I would like this corrected. Stay away from anything AT&T!
