Continued and ongoing loss of signal and problems getting service. Techs have been out multiple times over the past year. Works for a few weeks then doesn't. I spend more time on the phone, climbing over furniture and trying to connect. The phone bank you call is horrible. I haven't had service in weeks and asked for a credit on the $300 a month bill. Nope. Agrumentative. I was against the AT&T purchase, it has been a disaster. At&T lost millions of customers since it purchased Directv.
After 22 years of loyalty, goodbye DirecTV. Your content is disappearing and your prices keep going up. Now even my local channels have gone dark. You've been replaced with Fubo, FrndlyTV, and a Tablo receiver. You ruined my Bellsouth landline and I replaced you with Ooma, now you've ruined the best TV provider. My cell phone account with you is next. Thank goodness You ARE NOT my internet provider. Good riddance!
I have been a DIRECTV customer for years and I am going to move to a new provider in the next 2 weeks if they don't put CBS back on. People have not been able to see their shows for almost two years because of the actor strike. Now, the season premieres started last week and most of my shows are on CBS. This is ridiculous to not to have reached an agreement in this length of time. When I leave, I will never return to DIRECTV. I would give a zero rating if I could.
Dump these cons. I got tired of all the bs. I canceled Directv service. I got around 5 emails saying I was due a refund. I called and spoke to a really rude guy that said he was processing my refund. Then he got more rude said some cuss words saying he wasn't giving me me cuss words money back then he hung up. I called back right after and reported the guy and they also said they see where I'm due the refund and that they would get it sent out to me and have a supervisor call me. Months later no call back or check in the mail. Called tonight they said some bs of why I'm not due a refund. I have at least 5 emails from them saying different. They said they would get a supervisor to call me back after being on hold forever I told then no ill wait. Next think I know I get a recording saying they would call me back knowing they won't. Dump them while you are ahead. Directv sucks and will rip you off. See there raitings for yourself.
This company has gotten ridiculous! I changed the program for 3 days and went back to family channel and they took 2 news channels we had always had off. They said they changed programs in nov and when we changed programming we could no longer get all the channels we had before! We will be looking to do something else. Us paying them 20 years means nothing! If I could give a rating it would be in the negative number!.they said if we pd $50'extra dollars we could get the news channels back! We have had these channels 20 years!
DIRECTV can't get their s*** together. Three different channels I wanted to watch today were unavailable because contracts had expired. It would be different if this weren't a common place event. Sort out your business dealings. Doing anything else shows you have zero regard for your customers. This has everything to do with corporate profits at the expense of customers. 1 star, only because zero is not an option. Do not recommend.
They are snakes and will try to steal your money. Increasing prices without telling you then not letting you cancel.
If you can understand the tech person, it's no indication that they understand you. It's extra frustrating when they always start off by telling you to check your cables. Then reset the receiver. Then they blame the weather. They raise prices after they tell you that you're locked in at a certain price. We have to call them every month to remind them when we get our bill. We recently replaced our dvr and our remote. We've been having problems ever since. And now they want to charge us for a service call. Is it possible that they are actually worse than Spectrum?
I have been with direct tv for the last five years but I just recently switched to Dish TV due to bad customer service and they also took away two local stations and at the same time raised by bill another twenty dollars and when I told them I was leaving them they tried to offer me another deal but I told them that screw me once shame on you but screw me twice shame on me and they will never see me again. They are a very corrupt business and buyer BEWARE
I wasted almost an hour with technical support only to learn that their only recommendation was to replace the receiver. Then they had the gall to charge me $19.95 to ship it to me. They claimed to give me a special UPS discount.

Remote control stopped working. Called to request one to be sent and though I made payment arrangements was told I could not get a Remote until I pay the balance. This company is horrable.
If I could give negative stars I would. They neglect to tell you a huge amount of details. While there is no contract we just cancelled our service and they will not refund any money. They also do not take back their equipment and charge you for it after you cancel. We cancelled because of constant channel freezing, shutting down, lagging or simply not working at all Do.not get DirecTV. Not worth the money or frustration.
Why am i paying for this service when i can't even watch my football. Horrible service they don't care about their customers! Don't do it. Had to watch my football on peacock.
I am constantly not allowed to watch CBS on DirectTV which I am paying for. I don't understand how contractual arrangements are made with Comcast and other avenues. Once my contract is up with DirectTV I will be going to Comcast and their services are cheaper. I can see why the reviews are horrible.
I signed up thru at&t on dec 1st 2023. Ive been with xfinity for awhile. Im a disabled vet so I was trying to cut some of my bills. Att had a good deal. I sign up to get cable thru direct tv. Att tell me the earliest they can send a technician to hook everything up would be dec 21st. They come out and realize they only hooked up fiber in half of my hoa. Of course my side didnt have it. So they recommend me to keep my setup as is with xfinity because the internet would be to slow. They say call direct tv to cancel and let them no the issue. I call them and there telling me i have an outstanding balance. Im like i never used the service because att couldn't come and hook it up until 20 after I signed up. I recieved the direct tv boxes on the 8th of dec. They send a bill for service on the 15th. I told them Im not paying anything for a service i didn't use. So now i have a 180 balance for unused boxes.
We have had DirecTV for over 20 years and just moved. We set up an appointment to get a new dish installed and hooked up. The tech came and I am assuming he didn't want to work that day because he talked us into switching to your new streaming service. He said he ordered us everything we needed and it would be here by Friday. It never came so we called. Turns out, that guy never ordered anything and all the customer service reps we talked to couldn't speak English and kept hanging up on us. We were loyal customers and are so disappointed in how we have been treated. We are probably going to switch to a different service.
Tried to schedule service when system went out, first avail appt was 5 days out, no show, no call, called again, scheduled for 3 days out, no show, no call; called them again, rescheduled 3 days out, no show no call. Every cust service rep apologized and promised to call back the next day...no calls I'm going to HULU
Might just be the area but roof mounted direct line of sight south and still half the time it has to switch over to "streaming" to receive the channel. Used to get DTV because they had NFL Sunday ticket but now that's on YouTube. Last thing is you'll be bombarded with sales calls telling you you can get Show Time or whatever free for a month or so and can cancel at anytime. The company they use are rude and obnoxious on the phone. I only have it as a convenience thing now.
I was a customer for 20 plus years, new customers was paying less then I was. And it was a total battle to cancel the service. I would not recommend DirecTV to anyone.

Answer: It is a scam 100%. Just read the reviews. You don't realize it until they got your money and you need something! They are holding peoples money from them that doesn't belong to them. They may even tell you you'll get it back. Just keep waiting, you wont. Then you have to call back and go through the entire process again. I'm on 6 weeks now/Overdraft fees/No Thanksgiving/ and I have photo proof I cancelled 2 days before my free trial was up. They just didn't want me to cancel! Lol. They do things different here. You have been WARNED my friends!
Answer: Doesn't matter since they ignore the discrepancy once they have you under contract. No wonder their rating is so poor!
