DHgate will demand that you pay return shipping and PROMISE and ASSURE you that you will be "reimbursed by the seller as soon as he receives-back the merchandise". This is a bold-faced lie. They will put "rewards" into your "DHpay" account that are NOT transferrable to a bank, nor are they spendable $$ except on DHgate which is the last thing anyone wants who just got screwed with a bogus product. They lied to me repeatedly and then screwed me with "rewards" instead of the cash I spent to ship it back. $118.75 I paid USPS to return a bogus counterfeit saxophone that was also damaged and unplayable. So, I got nothing and it cost me $118.75. DHgate made this an unchangeable condition of receiving any refund. Then once you pay the return shipping you'll never hear from them again. They are liars and they are cowards.
UPDATE: After placing these reviews on this site and TrustPilot I had an agent reach out to me to tell me that I would have a resolution by 4/27/20 (today). I still have no resolution and this is 17 days past when their policy says I would have a refund/resolution. I also reached out to the "verification" and money guarantee badges listed on the bottom of their site and was told that their emblems were used illegally and DHGate was not actually accredited. Do not trust their business. I understand their individual sellers but DHgate does not verify them and is not willing to reimburse their customers if their own sellers are not legitimate.
I placed an order on 3/10 for two pairs of sunglasses and was given a maximum delivery date of 30 days. The delivery tracking was last updated on 3/20/20 and was still in the shipping country of China. I continued to wait and at the 30 day mark messaged the seller multiple times, never receiving a response. I followed DHgate's "rules" for disputing an order and tried to come to terms with the seller to denied a refund because "it was still shipping" despite being over their maximum shipping time and never being updated on tracking. I waited 5 additional days until I was allowed to escalate the dispute to DHgate for review. They said I had to wait an additional 10 days due to possible delays AGAIN even though it has not been updated in over a month and is clearly lost. I waited 10 days and messaged them again and they sent the exact same response back. It has now been 42 days since it shipped and still has not been updated since 3/20/2020. DHgate has still not offered me a refund and has not followed their terms that they said they would for customer service. I do not know how they have a trustpilot sticker on their site as they are clearly not following any ethical standards. I have two other orders that have not shipped yet and I am concerned I will also not receive those. I have now launched an investigation with my credit card company because DHgate has illegally kept my payment against their own terms and policy.
In January downloaded the app & ordered my Grandson a youth Flyers Jersey for his birthday.
I understood, at first there was a holiday & then the virus hit. I kept in touch with my seller. I was kind and patient. My grandson & I prayed for the health of our seller & his country.
The order showed it as shipped - for 3 months with no progress & the seller stopped communicating. Tracking number showed "no information available".
Mid-April I contacted DHGate & asked for help getting the jersey. They gave me steps to open a dispute but what they told me to look for on the app didnt match what I saw so they opened a dispute for me AND then PROMPTLY cancelled my order! I told them in EVERY communication that I didn't want a refund - I wanted the jersey.
Now, I must tell my grandson that we were lied to and his gift is NOT coming. I must tell him our kindness & patience was met with lies and dishonesty. DHGATE SUCKS. They lie to and cheat even children.

I am not happy with dhgate I've been using them for a long time and made many purchases, But now I have a package that was supposed to arrive on March 26th, the tracking has not updated since March 7th when it said leaving over seas, the seller refused to refund me, I opened a dispute for a refund as it is stated on dhgate
"If buyer did not get the item on seller's promised delivery time, then DHgate Resolution Center will commence arbitration to issue a refund or return item according to the actual conditions."
My promised date was March 26th, its not here!
My dispute and all messages are being ignored now and nothing is being done and the seller has turned off email notifications so is not even getting my messages.
The seller is not responding to the dispute and dhgate have not issued my refund yet thus is ridiculous and unfair its almost 50 days since
The order was made and absolutely no update since March 7th, dhgate states they will issue a refund if the package does not arrive in time my delivery was supposed to be March 26th its near a full month late! Please just refund me so we can end this dispute I won't give up and will report dhgate to trading standards for fraud and helping sellers to steal money like sneakerstar has stole mine with their help.

Wanted a great deal on an item and found it on this website. The problem is the sizes they post and then actually make are incorrect. Plus it's impossible to get a refund. Buyer beware.
I bought a dress on DHgate for $110. It didn't fit. I don't think it was properly sized. After going through a long complicated return authorization process, I finally got approval to send it back. DHgate said I had to send back to China using DHL. When I went to the local DHL agent with my dress packaged up for shipment, the agent said the shipping cost was going to be $130! BUYER BEWARE - Do NOT buy anything from DHgate if you think that you may need to return the product for any reason.
Received damaged items and some were the wrong sizes. The seller ask me to just drop the dispute. He wanted me to just let him keep my money. I put in the dispute the day I received the items. Why would they release the money, knowing there was an issue? The dispute process is only to protect the seller NOT YOU! Stay away from this site!

I waited for months to get an item only to receive a horrible counterfeit, nothing like the picture online, I originally filed a complaint because the tracking stopped and I never got the item. Well, the seller had it released from customs and the minute it was delivered, DH Gate released my payment and closed my dispute without me even seeing the shoe. ITS GARBAGE I have spent countless hours trying to get a refund, only to be given fake emails of my ""account manager" that get bounced right back to me. They tell you to contact the seller and have them message you to agree to refund you the money and then send them the message from the seller so they can refund you. Honestly? Nobody half way across the world is going to give you your money back! The seller never responds. The online chat is a joke. BEWARE spending your money here, THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU!

This company and it's sellers are some of the dirtiest crooks you can find online. So many problems they have given both my girl and I. We have been wronged so many times, denied refunds for things that were not our fault and never even received items we paid money for. Did we get our money back for those things that were never sent? Absolutely not. DO NOT give your time nor business to this joke of a company

I bought a suit from them and the buyer told me he told me he doesn't have the same and he will send me another one. I opened a dispute before he shipped the item but he refused it and sent the item! I contacted Dhgate team on live chat with Tomas and he was very very rude and not helpful and he was talking about another cases that's not for me! This is part of his chat
(seller provide the tracking number and system allow seller ship out the order within 5 days, understood now? Jesus)

At the end I reliesd that the buyer can request a refund before the seller ship the item because the seller said he will send different item. Then the seller can refused the refund and send the item! And Dhgate cant do nothing to him.

Answer: Yes. Even when they send you the wrong product, dhgate finds for the seller, not the buy. Stuff sent isn't what is advertised. So many unhappy customers, that's why I posted my review. Will never buy from them again. Ever
