After waiting 28 days for a transmission, had my mechanic install it and it was inoperable. Now I am going thru the refund process and they send me pictures of a shipping label and bill of laden. Cannot print so in turn cannot get a refund. It is like Detroit Axle has this scam down to a science. Out over 1900 for the transmission and 1200 for the install. Still do not have an operable car after 6 weeks.

Buyer beware! No problem taking your hard earned $ but only send box 1 of 2 while car tore apart over a week still waiting on box 2 of 2 and every single day told same thing by C. S... will ship today. No refund, no manager to speak with and could care less about inconvenience to customer waiting on car for transportation.

The outer Tie rods inner threading was shorter than the OE spec. Wheel alignment was never the same.

Ceramic Brake Pads
January 8, 2022

I ordered low priced front and rear brake pads for my wife's Jeep Patriot from Detroit Axel. They leave lots of black dust on the rims. They are quiet though The passenger outter pad was defective with a small machine head screw casted into the ceramic pad material which left a score ring around the rotor. (see attached photo). After sending photos of the pad and damage, Detroit Axle sent a new set of pads, however would not compensate me for the score damage the defective pad caused on the rotor. They told me the rotor wasn't purchased by Detroit Axel. Would I shop there again? Probably not!

Brakes & Rotors
January 6, 2022

So far I have ordered Brakes and rotors for my F350 4x4 and both my 15 & 16 Kia souls. I haven't had any problems with these parts. I find they're pretty good quality, no warpage on the rotors if I have to hit the brakes, the pads are wearing the way they're suppose to. I order, I get a receipt, I get a shipping number and the last time I had all parts in under a week. That's pretty darn good service if you ask me.

Its crap! Purchased front upper lower control arms and tie rods with ends. About 9 months into their use the tie rod ends (ball joints) were failing. Making loud popping noises. Replaced the ends and now the lower ball joints are going out. Squeaking and creaking with every turn of the wheel. Their stuff seems like a good idea, but it's not. Save yourself the trouble and double work. Buy Moog or another name brand.

Bad business practices
December 15, 2021

I canceled an order within 1/2 hour and it was 12 at night and it was denied.
Their response: We are sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused you, but once an order shows a tracking number assigned the order cannot be canceled
Then five days latter they overnight shipped it to me and issued a NEW tracking order
Then they want to charge me $10.96 for the return
These people lie about their policy and who knows what else!

Don't get caught in their trap they only send half the items then won't refund for hat you didn't get. They got the right one this time J'm an attorney in Alabama. They are going to have to come here for court or send a rep. All I wanted was a refund of less than $100

Detroit Axle Creating imaginary words from the Warranty policy and making you jump through hoops in order to not replace defective parts.

Honestly the worst practice when it's stated on amazon and on your website it's warranted for 10 years.

It is rebranded Chinese garbage that fails in 3 months.

Beware
October 14, 2021

I bought a driveshaft from them on Amazon. They guaranteed the fit when I provided the information they asked for, 04 Ram 1500 3.7L automatic transmission, so I bought the part from them. When it came in and my mechanic went to put it on it was in fact not the correct part. When I returned it they charged a $30 restock fee plus $13 return shipping, I was notified I would have to pay the return shipping so that is fine. I dont feel the customer should be penalized for the company's mistake. A week after the tracking number said it had been delivered to them they still had not given me a refund. I had to contact Amazon support and then two days later got a notification saying they were refunding $170 out of the $213 I spent. 100% would not buy anything from Detroit Axle again.

WOW REALLY!
September 7, 2021

I can't believe the reviews Detroit Axel is getting reviews like this. I ordered new hub's and break's from them a year ago, and I even ordered them over the phone just to make sure I ordered the right ones, and the customer service was excellent. I also plan on doing a lot more business with them in the near future. For those that may not want to do business for 20 bad of 25 reviews, just might want to look at the flip side and remember that it's more likely for people to complain than to give a kind word, and secondly, average out the year's in business vs. The complaints... Also remember that some people just have unrealistic expectations...

Zero stars. Ordered 2 strut assemblies, got 1. Called and was promised shipment with a tracking code. No code, no shipment. Trying to get money back now as I do not believe I will get the second part. Meanwhile the car is apart and unusable. Still waiting for refund or part. ZZzzzzzz.

Thieves
July 28, 2021

I purchased parts for my Explorer, ordered for a 98. They sent me parts for the year range of 2006 - 2010. Clearly their mistake. I contacted them about the mistake on their part. Nothing but BS, run around. They refuse to accept the return and credit me back my money. I no longer need the parts, My mechanic had to order them through NAPA so I could pass Pa inspection. Terrible, incompetent company to deal with...

Ordered parts for Corvette and was sent parts for Ford Mazda even though shipping label said was correct. Eighteen months later and a complaint to BBB, I have not received the right parts despite Detroit Axle rep agreed the wrong parts were sent, and asked for parts to be returned but would NOT pay for return shipping. Agreed to return wrong hubs AFTER the correct hubs were received.
Unresolved despite 14 communications over 18 months with broken promises.

I purchased a transmission for my 2013 Dodge Caravan. Warranty is 3 years, unlimited miles. After only 12K miles my transmission needs replaced. Everyday for over a week we have called just to be asked the same repetitive questions: have you checked the fluid, what codes are showing... then we keep being told this info will be sent to the tech. I am already out my personal vehicle plus the cost of a rental car. So I called again today to be told this could take weeks that I am routed to a call center in Texas that cannot give me an actual direct number nor a corporate number. There's other reviews from dissatisfied customers and the owner listed a number to call him. We tried that only to go through the same issue and still no return phone call, no emails; nothing but the runaround. I will NEVER purchase nor recommend anyone to go through Detroit Axel. I have since found out they're also not accredited by the BBB. If you want to get ripped off, receive poor customer service and excuses instead of your warranty honored then this is the place for you.
