Complete rip offs they sent me a defective part. Being trying to get the part returned for nearly 3 months. Finally they told me to return old original part for a core never saw any type of refund for core than they had the nerve to tell me I had to pay an additional 75 percent of total to process warranty. DO NOT BUY FROM DETROIT AXLE. MAY COST A FEW MORE DOLLARS AT THE STORE. BUT IT WILL DEFINITELY SAVE YOU A HEADACHE THOSE GUYS ARE CROOKS!
So I bought a a front end kit on August 16th installed the parts and by November my hub bearings where making noise again drove home a mile and a half passenger front wheal was leaning when I got out to find bearing totally trashed. So messaged about the problem and was told since I did the work warranty was void even though I was a certified mechanic for 20 years so ordered another set on 01-04-23 still don't have them requested a refund to get told I need to wait for them to check out order did that and today was told I need to wait some more whole time truck has been down will never order another thing from Detroit Axle

I messed up on eBay and ordered rear rotors instead of front ones for my 08 frontier. EBay wouldn't let me cancel it. I called Detroit Axle and they immediately cancelled the order before it was shipped out. They called me back to confirm the label was cancelled. Then, with the correct order they sent me extra products along with my original order. Very pleased! And it was next day delivery! I'll be using them in the future!

I ordered a power steering rack for a volkswagen corrado. I received a power steering rack from different vw. When I tried to return it they told me I ordered the wrong part and would have to pay return shipping. I told them no. They sent me the wrong part and that i ordered a rack for the correct vehicle. Detroit axle Took their sweet time between replies. So long that it stretched past 30 days. They then told me I was outside the return time frame because it's been more than 30 days. (Less than 90) The guy * who I spoke with was rude and seem to go out of his way to make this difficult for me. Not to mention this was the ugliest rebuilt car part I've ever seen. And I'm a professional mechanic. Literally was a dirty rack and pinion someone spray painted silver. I will never order from detroit axle again as the quality is garbage and the customer service is far worse.

This company reels you into a sale claiming "2 day free shipping" and as soon as they receive payment they start changing the arrival date to a later time. They were advised it was a breach of contract and violation of the consumer sales practices act and instructed to cancel the order and refund before it shipped. A preprogrammed message stated someone would get back to me. All lies. They ignored me until the day it arrived, A WEEK LATER, to say I could start a return. This company is a fraud and a joke. EBAY is acting.in concert with these company's, as well as Amazon, to allow these companies to commit fraudulent business practices and making it almost impossible to talk to anyone or get the problem resolved. I am taking legal action to stop this from happening. Our country was built on the faith in government and businesses to have to honor promises or be held accountable and liable. When this is being done by large corporations the money held by them and interest collected without compensation (unjust enrichment) amounts to millions of dollars profit when sitting on millions of dollars of customers' money for a week or longer--or any length of time. It costs me and other businesses a lot of time, money and frustration.
Detroit Axle has terrible business practices and customer service. Don't buy from this company. Next time I will spend a few more bucks and buy from a more reliable and reputable parts supplier! Legal action is being taken, you should file complaints under the consumer sales practices act with your state or attorney General when companies are misleading or commit fraud.
Detroit Axle voids the warranty if you install their products yourself. With an out-of-the-box product failure rate of 25%, buy it at your own risk!

Purchased brake set from Detroit axle. Returned within days of receipt in the unopened original box. Detroit axle took over 20%, returning less than 80% of the original purchase price. Tried to resolve the issue with no success. Was told I could have returned it for a full refund if I had purchased an equivalent amount of product. Wasn't info er med of this until after the refund had been processed. Offered to buy more then but it was conveniently "to late". This is a deceptive business practice and very dishonest. DO NOT BUY FROM DETROIT AXLE!

Have bought numerous parts from them and more then half of them were defective parts I recently had issues with 2 rotors for 05 Honda CR-V and once installed both started making a banging noise when stopping I quickly same day purchased rotors from autozone which look different and once installed worked perfectly fine so there was no issue anywhere else besides the rotors from Detroit Axle are defective and not the right rotors and just called to return the item and was hung up on the first call after explaining and then second time was told I needed a certified mechanic to send them invoice sayin the rortors are not good like are u kidding me I bought the parts not a shop and the part they gave me is bs that's not fair I lose out on money for defective parts they sell I'm extremely upset and was willing to give business to this company but now I will longer keep buying and makin sure other people dont buy ur products unless this is fixed like it should be...

So far over the last 2 years of covid...I've bought and installed 2 complete brake kits and replaced a power steering rack for 3 different vehicles domestic and foreign sedans and trucks...THIS IS THE LOW COST REPLACEMENT brake and suspension source. Both break sets were well made went on in a breeze and worked as intended. I was able to get a very unique steering rack through them...even the new car dealer could not source it...as in anything always check your products...even the Nationaly Nascsr recommended product are made In the exact same factories in China/Taiwan/Vietnam...even the ones that say made in USA aren't...assembled in US, not made.
The products are good, great warranty and return policy.

My husband purchased front end suspension kit for my 2008 Tahoe, rotors and brake pads, ceramic"' for all 4 wheels in August 2021. They were not ceramic by any means. After the parts were replaced in October 2021, my wheels kept getting a black dust hard to clean. Now the rear driver side break pad is not only destroyed but it cut into the rotor.

Purchased a kit with upper control arms, sway bar links, and lower ball joints. Came with no ball joints. Was told that it would be shipped separately but that was not true. Took weeks to resolve the issue after being told multiple lies and several phone calls and bad reviews. Was told the only way that they could issue a partial refund was if the review was deleted. At the time the parts that were missing, lower ball joints, were still available for purchase, which would lead any reasonable person to believe that they were just taking people's money in hope that they would not spend the time to go through the process of getting their money back. Also, the parts are subpar at best and should not be allowed to be sold for the sake of everyone's safety on the road. Do not make the mistake I did and not read reviews before purchasing. The warranty that is provided is no good as well, it's basically set up to where they won't have to replace anything if it fails, it is set up to where they would be at fault for nothing. There are so many people's lives being put in danger by the products sold by this place. Something should definitely be done about this place and it's poor, deceiving, and dangerous business practices.

My order was last in NC when I contacted Detroit Axle asking for them correct the problem with FedEx. I was told they could not and it would be another two weeks to have the parts in stock. They made money on my lost items. Customer service was really bad!

It seems like Detroit Axle is a place where you could buy low-cost Parts but in exchange you are getting low quality parts. The struts for Mercedes are terrible quality. You can push them down with one finger and that means you will not get a good ride at all, your car will probably bottom out. People are also complaining about the struts leaking within a few months. These people take forever to give back your money. Even though they're selling you a piece of junk they still take a restocking fee when you return the item without any scratches or missing Packaging. I am contacting my credit card company immediately. There policy says that you will get back the full amount if the part is defective and it was definitely defective. I could have made a better strut myself out of a pipe, axle and a couple of rubber washers. I don't know how they're still selling on eBay and Amazon. I know he has about 65% feedback on Amazon and that is why because he is selling the worst part you can ever buy. Don't go through trouble twice changing your parts just stay away from this place. Another thing is I don't think they speak English because when they respond they talk really strange as if they're from another country and they're using some kind of translator. If you buy from them from Amazon then Amazon cannot refund your money because Detroit Axle is a third party seller and Amazon does not get involved with third-party sellers which I think they should especially when you get ripped off like I did

They don't deserve 1 star. I got a rack and pinion for a Q45 and a month later a seal blew out on it. Took them a month to try and process the warranty to find out that I have to pay the shipping fees to get a new part when their part failed after a MONTH. So what this is telling me is that if buy a part from them you have to pay for the warranty for the part every time it fails. You're better off getting your parts from anywhere else but them.

I ordered parts for my truck that did not fit. I am not sure if it was my mistake or the companies. I went through step by step to do a return for refund and was told I was good to go. I have been waiting weeks for my refund that I was told would be done in 24 hours! Now I can not get anybody to return my calls or get my refund. They gave me a return number and all the things I want to hear but still no results! I do not recommend this company to anyone. Pretty much if you make a mistake you are SCREWED!

Detroit Axle sells their items on ebay under that seller name. They falsely claimed that their items would be delivered free in 4 days, then when FedEx kept delaying the delivery, Detroit Axle claimed that they met their responsibility by shipping the item within four days of the purchase. Obviously, they don't understand the difference between delivery times and shipping times. After reading some of these reviews, I'm worried that slow shipping is going to be the least of my problems with this company.

First and last puchase with detroit axle! Wish i saw the reviews prior to the headache im dealing with. Both drums were warped out of the box and after two months of running around to various mechanics i reach out for a warranty claim to be charged $70 to send new parts! Now I have to pay my mechanics twice and my truck has been violently shaking since. No additional remedy offered by customer service the second set better not be warped or I will be contacting my credit card company to have this fraudulent company give me a refund! Not happy!

Made an order October 1st it's now the 20th call them up, they don't have part in stock and refuse to give any help or discount. Been buying from here 10+ years and they must have changed management because now it's a complete dumpster fire, never ordering again from Detroit axle. Make sure you tell your friends, so they don't go through what I did.

Answer: Detroit Axle wasn't the low ball company but after doing business with them we got low balled.
Answer: For us it has been a scam and we will never order from them again and request you do not. But the choice is up to you.
