Ordered and received product just shy of 3 weeks later which was expected for prescription glasses. They were one of the only dealers with the exact frames I wanted. There was confusion about my script so they called & emailed. I received updates throughout the process. I would definitely order from them again. The only thing that could improve is I received a Dior Homme (men's) case for my Lady Dioro (woman's) glasses. I would much prefer a case that doesn't say "Homme" on it lol. Glasses themselves are perfect!
Glasses took over a month from the order date to ship. They were received broken and incorrect lens type. The frames we're obviously cracked when the prescription lenses were put it, but that didnt stop this company from sending them in the mail anyways. I also paid $50 extra for mirror lenses, which I did not get. Attempts to get a refund went ignored. I was finally able to get ahold of someone who wants me to pay to ship these across the county to the lab to be "analyzed". What a joke

My glasses were supposed to arrive within three days. One week passed, then another. I was starting to get scared but online they did say prescription orders took longer, plus I asked for a bunch of extra enhancements (thin lenses, no shine, ect...) so I told myself that's all it was. By the middle of the third week I was looking at all the bad reviews and they didn't answer the given phone number even during business hours and I WAS LOSING MY MIND. I paid 250$ and I'm kind of poor so I was about to cry when I emailed them. They assured me that my order was just backordered and they got it on track now and that I'd get a shipping notification within the week. The week passed and I emailed again saturday freaking out. Monday they replied and by tuesday I got my shipping confirmation. It's now friday morning and my glasses arrived perfectly and just how I wanted. Sorry for doubting you and THANK YOU designer glasses for making $600 into $250!

Don't even bother ordering from this company. I got several e-mails about how my order was processing but never shipped. Even as I am writing this review, the website still indicates shipping within 2-3 days. I guess I complained enough that they simply refunded my monies. Total schlock outfit operating out of a grubby storefront in Brooklyn. BEWARE!

I am in love with my new Gucci sunglasses! Just make sure you pay with a credit card because if the post office loses them in transit you are on your own. But these arrived in better than perfect condition for a great price!

I tried to buy glasses and they were taking quite a while although I paid extra for shipping to send them. I then got notified that I would need pay an extra charge for polycarbonate. Why was that not conveyed upon purchase? Have you not ran into this 100s if not thousands of times previously? I cancelled and they still have not refunded nor have they sent any product. Run, run quickly.

Whatever you do, do not order from this company. This company is a scam!
As soon as you put in your credit card information, it will be charged to your card. Days will go by and your order will not ship and even if you try to email them they will not reply. Also, don't bother leaving a voice message because they will not call back. Also, they never answer the phone.

I ordered Altair designer frames for HALF of what my eye doctor quoted and even less than half of what Altair's "only authorized" web dealer wanted to rook me out of. I got a USPS tracking Number and received them in about 10 days. They are the real deal! No shipping & no Tax for me. I e-mailed them once out of paranoia and they replied right away.
Some of their negative reviews are people who want everything I got in ONE DAY! I will return here in the future when I need new glasses!

Don't believe the advertising. I was supposed to get my frames last Wednesday, they advertised "fast shipping", I relied on what they advertised, made appointments by when they said I would have my frames, that was last Tuesday and of this Friday, still nothing. They have my money and I have nothing. I get delay noticed from Google Express who even gave me a 10 dollar coupon off my next order like there would be one, I don't think so.

Horrible company and even worse customer service. Weeks after ordering i contacted several times asking when I'll recieve them. All you get is a generic message back they will be in touch. 3 weeks later they cancel my order with no explanation at all! Purchased as a gift and now im screwed trying to replace them.

I ordered a pair of sunglasses from this company. The order was shipped but the post office sent it back to the company. I sent them an email asking could they redeliver my package and no reply. So I sent another email still no answer. Now I am on hold with customer service, I have been on hold for an hour and 45 minutes! At this point I just want a refund! Never again will I order from this company!

They are really good at taking your money, but not so good at sending you your glasses. I called and talked to customer service before I even placed my order to make sure they could make my slightly complicated prescription - I have prism in my glasses and not everyone can do that. I had a nice conversation with customer service and expressed my reluctance to order from an online company as I had just been burned by EZContacts (you can read my review). The woman assured me there wouldn't be any problems. I confirmed that the frames I had picked were in stock and that my prescription was something they could do. Fast forward to a month later and still no glasses. I did receive glasses in about 2.5 weeks, but the prescription was totally wrong! I contacted them and they sent me a shipping label for the return. Since then... crickets! I have called and emailed customer service and I always get the same response, they are almost done. Well my glasses may not be done, but I am! I guess you do get what you pay for!

Answer: Actually its not a scam, I took my glasses to a gucci retailer and had them verified.

Answer: Not easy at all! You can send an email, which will likely take at least a week for them to respond, or you can call. I have called and emailed several times. There are only 2 customer service people (I asked when I called) so you sit on hold for upwards of an hour. It is horrible. Then when you do finally get a person on the line, or an email response it is just, "Your glasses are almost ready. They should be shipped out soon." When you press for more detailed information they put you on hold and then come back and say that the lab is currently working on them. If you email for more information then you email is likely never returned.
Answer: Their Customer Service is absolute garbage...
Answer: I put in an order from Canada back in April 2025. There were some delays in shipping and delivery due to holiday long weekend and availability of the frames I ordered from the store. But I did get my order after a few weeks delay. So they are legitimate. Price I paid for the frames was reasonable even with the dollar exchange rate. I would consider ordering from Designer Optics again.
