Dell's reputation has significantly declined, with many customers expressing dissatisfaction with both product quality and customer service. While some users appreciate the performance of their devices when functioning properly, a pervasive sentiment reveals frustrations over receiving incorrect products, unresolved technical issues, and inadequate support. Customers frequently report long wait times, ineffective assistance, and poor communication from service representatives. The overall trend indicates a growing discontent with the company's responsiveness and reliability, prompting many former loyal customers to seek alternatives. This feedback highlights a critical need for Dell to enhance its customer service and product quality to regain trust.

Their products has been amazing and I'm using them for more than 5 yeas and happy with the customer by the Dell Group.
I have a dell and the same thing happened as my last computer the side of the screen cracked. The bottom right side of the plastic cracked because of lifting the screen from one side,
SO DISAPPOINTING_ I have always been a huge Dell fan. Working in IT, my company orders hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. All of my personal computers are Dell.
I ordered a 24" monitor thru the Dell website that had a $50 VISA promo gift card, but never rec'd it. After waiting 8 weeks for the card to arrive, I contacted Dell, after more emails and phones calls, Dell responded that the Visa gift card was an e-offer and I had to respond within 30 days to the 1 email they sent telling me this. No where did their website say this. No where on the order did it say this. Now they are telling me because I waited over 30 days to contact them there is nothing they can do,
I am so disappointed in Dell. They advertise a $50 Visa gift card and then do not make good on their offer. They say they cannot give a credit or refund. The supervisor said their was no one above her that i could speak with or anything that could be done.
Dell used to have good customer service and take care of their customers. From what I am seeing, that is no longer the case.
I purchased dell 5570 through Amazon
I purchased dell 5570 through Amazon. Machine kept freezing and blue screening from the first day I used it. I called dell support and they told me it was a windows problem and needed to charge me to fix it as it was not a hardware or dell issue. After dealing with freezing and blue screens until warranty expired, it finally quit. Took it to repair shop, they replaced hard drive, got it back, still same issues freezing and blues screens as many as 7 times daily. Took it back to repair shop and they reinstalled windows 10. Got laptop back and still same issues. I have spent $350 in repairs to date and hundreds of hours updating, troubleshooting, and redoing files that were lost during the blue screens and freezes. I am a senior and while I have lots of time, this is not enjoyable. Don't know if Amazon got deal on these machines or if dell just dropped ball making this unit. Needed this laptop as I was spending time in hospital fighting cancer. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life! Posting this review, so someone else might not need to go through what I have.
Their customer service is not good lately. The system said that I still had my battery warranty available and that it was going to expire soon... then, I communicate with a guy from customer service and he said I didn't and he didn't even offered me a solution. Now I have to pay to an expert, who doesn't work at Dell, to buy me the battery and install it.
A good thing about Dell is that they train their technical team very well. I met a guy who worked at Dell and used to fix my laptop since 2005 until a couple of years. He was very good at his job!
My desktop is a Dell computer and I recently bought a laptop for my daughter. The customer service couldn't be more helpful: they went out of their way to accommodate the delivery to my daughter's friend's schedule (he was going to receive it and take it to her). Unfortunately, two days after she started to use it, it crashed (software issue). If she was here in the USA, they would have taken care of it in days. A trustworthy company. My next computer will be from them because even if I have a problem, they do fix it.
I bought my Dell from a repair computer place. My Dell desktop I am using right now had been used at a school. It was wiped off all and was a bare bones. I bought it in 2013. It is a 2007. I am amazed myself it is still working. It will soon have to be replaced as it stops then starts up again...? Sometimes...(sometimes 4 times a days, sometimes runs for days) I use my Dell a lot and watch older movies or reruns of TV series. It has been a very good working machine. I have another Dell 2013 underneath this one I am writing about. Also used. It is a professional model too. Buying 2nd hand (for me is like buying a used car) Its proven already it will last and all the kinks have been worked out.
Traditionally would of always used dell (not anymore) - I bought two computers for the business and one working / one freezing on start up. I've had 2 engineers come out and couldn't fix the problem now asked for the replacement no notification after the call and I just spoke tot heir customer service who during the call hung up and added the out of hours notification. New member of staff starts today (bought the computer 3 weeks in advance) and it looks like I'll be working on my laptop for the next few weeks - I'm stunned
Best company I have ever worked with in terms of PC's and products. They sent me a free keyboard when I basically spilled too much on it, and have returned my laptop fully repaired within a week. They rock! Go Dell! GO 'Murica! God Bless the USA!
The WORST customer service and the salesmen lie. Their products are good, but you will HATE having to work with this company long term. Their current fees for support are $170 1 year warranty or $130 one time.
I purchased an inspiron 15 7000 gaming system with an nvidia GTX 1050Ti. This is a very nice computer. I also bought the 1 year extended customer service warranty. This was a new laptop.
I should have known that Dell was going to be an ethically questionable company when I first ordered from it. I ordered a laptop with 32GB of RAM. My sales reciept went through and it was in process for about a week. Then, I was told the order was canceled because Dell doesn't make this model anymore. This was AFTER I bought the laptop. I told a friend would works in IT about this. He said that they probablly cancelled it because RAM prices shot up. It was too expensive for them to make the computer you bought. So, they just backed out of an order they sold. Not very ethical.
Second, after my year warranty expired, I have had a few computer issues. I even bought Dell's compatable docking station D3100. I plug in 2 external monitors through this docking station. Now, the docking station doesn't work correctly.
When I've called to just get some basic help, I'm pushed directly into purchasing a warranty. Dell doesn't veiw me as a customer. They very me as someone to exploit for profit.
BE CAREFUL BUYING FROM DELL! It's like their products are only set to work for about a year before they start having problems. I will not buy another Dell computer again.
I bought the Dell laptop from croma Like 2 weeks ago and the dell laptop is so slow I feel like I wasted my thousand of ruppes In this $#*!ing disgusting laptop whenever I go to croma and ask them what should I do they are like are sir update rahega n oll fir chal jayega In short croma bas chutiya banata hai customers ko
Dell is well known Computer Hardware Product producer company I think their PCs and are most compatible with Asian and European Environment
It's an absolute piece of $#*! my warranty expired right before a month and now they are asking to pay 300$ for a motherboard. This is horrible.
They give you a runaround on their rebates. I used the online chat and phone call to confirm that I've given them the right documents they need, a couple of days after, they come back through email that it was incomplete, and asking again for a different paperwork(they are the ones that send the item, why wouldn't they know what they sent, if I provided them all the tracking no/item info/name and everything else? It's just a way for them to not pay your rebate... if that email goes to spam, or you don't open your email, then they made an extra buck. The phone line to call for rebates has an excuse that they are not the ones who has the requirements, so you cant complain to them. A cop out from the company, I would say. If they really want to serve the customer, they would do it on a better way... or, actually use technology. They're supposed to be a technology company, right?
Got a super slow laptop that was supposed to run fast. It's a pain turning it on or restarting it every single time. My 4 year old laptop runs faster than this piece of junk. The support wouldn't help saying my "software warranty" is over and I would have to pay an arm and a leg to get support. Seriously they tried to sell extended warranty to me for a quarter of the cost of the laptop and saying it's discounted already. I had bought Dell for the past 2 decades and the company is becoming a cash grab. They don't care about the consumers as much as they did before. This will be my last Dell product EVER.
I am a Pakistani user of dell.
Almost your products are good but you should initiate some authorized dealers and service centers as they are much needed here in Pakistan.
My higher end dell computer broke 3 times in the 1st year. Their "award winning" customer support is an absolute nightmare. I've been a loyal customer to dell for the last 20 years and it has slipped so much. Never again will I purchase from them.
This is the second Dell product I have bought in 4yrs. The first one stopped working after 6wks. It had a Vista operating system. I had been ill for over a year, so had to update and stupidly, took the salesman in currys at his word (he said Dell laptops had seriously improved) so I purchased another. Six months later the power adapter has stopped working and I can't get a replacement anywhere. Including Dell's own helpdesk, based in India, who keep putting me through to the UK people, who advise me to go back to currys and buy an adapter (which I've done 3 times and had to return 3 times cause they don't work!) I CAN'T BUY A SUITABLE REPLACEMENT ADAPTER DIRECT FROM DELL! WHAT INSANITY IS THIS.
DO NOT BUY THEIR RUBBISH PRODUCTS. I'VE WASTED ALMOST £1000 NOW I WILL BUY FROM APPLE.
DELL DO NOT HAVE A CLUE ABOUT MAKING PRODUCTS THAT LAST OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. BE WARNED PEOPLE!
They credit scored my business without consent. The response was to blame others even though i had a recorded call stating otherwise. Man up Dell and take responsibility for your appalling service
I've got a laptop Dell. What I can say is that it works very fast without any problems. I bought a laptop that was used by another person but the quality of this machine is pretty good. I can compare this laptop with Sony. I must admit Sone has better screens than Dell. In others, they are both work good without any problems.
Answer: Not upto the mark... felt few hadrware technician are newly appointed were not ble to understand as well as answer the query.
Answer: Cause dell is a complete scam. I regret buying one. Wasted almost a thousand dollars.
Answer: I did. I bought a machine that had hardware issues right out of the box and returned it within the 30-day window. They refunded me 100% of what I'd paid, no problem.
