The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor communication, prolonged shipping delays, and issues with product quality and returns. Many customers report feeling misled by product descriptions and express frustration over unresponsive customer service, leading to claims of unethical practices. Conversely, a small number of reviews highlight satisfactory experiences with product quality, particularly regarding refurbished items. Overall, while some customers appreciate the selection and pricing, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a pressing need for improved transparency and reliability in customer service practices.

Do not sell anything to then, they are refusing to pay or ship me back my IPhone 12, which is worth 427 dollars, they will rob you of your hard earned money.
I sold 3 items to them. 2 of which were accepted and paid out in an acceptable timeframe. The 3rd, which was conveniently the most expensive ($1,200) was rejected but then NEVER sent back to me. Over 3 months now I have been chatting with their customer service reps who have told me multiple times (i have screenshots of every convo) that it would be sent back ASAP. Still nothing. This company flat out STOLE my computer and refuses to do anything about it. Luckily its under $5000 so i have hired a small claims court lawyer who is going to open a case tomorrow. So sad these scammy companies exist
Claims my phone arrived damaged.
It was very carefully packed in a large box...
I find it extremely hard to believe...
I sold my galaxy watch active 2 with it's fully functional charger, I made sure to secure the package so everything arrives in perfect condition. I got a revised offer saying that my charger was defective or wasn't included when I sent it fully functional. I off course rejected the new offer knowing that my charger and watch where fully functional. I just got my watch back with no charger and the wrist bad detached. They didn't even took the time to reattach the wrist band and the watch has some sticky glue on the sides.
I contacted them about 3 times more to find out if they were going to send my charger back however I always got the same answer "Hello Abraham. Thank you for your email. I have sent a request for the warehouse to locate the charger that was sent with the order. Kindly note it takes 5-7 business days for delivery once the order has been dispatched."
The last time I contacted them they didn't send any response and month later I still don't have my charger.
Once again this horrible company has stolen some of my dvd's, This time claiming that the dvd's in questions are promotional items and can't be credited. These are not promotional and The same barcode they rejected is the one I used to upload. To make matters worse they are selling the same copy on their eBay store. These crooks will be reported to the BBB. I will not let this go
Got a quote and shipped my device. They received it and emailed me that my payment was on the way. All is going as planned. UNTIL. Money never arrives. Contact support, provide banking records (!) that show no deposit. Contact support (by chat because you can't talk to anyone) told my money will be there soon. Contact support again, told I will be emailed about it. Contact support 7 more times, same response. No money, no device, no email that they said they would send. They still have my device and haven't paid me. This company is unethical at best and mostly likely just a scam.
I sent them $40 worth of CDs. First, they claimed that one was missing. Then they kept saying that payment would be sent in 2-3 business days. It's been 2 weeks, and still no payment! Each time I contacted their Customer Service, I got a different person who sent me a very obvious "template response." Please send us a copy of your bank statement to verify that the funds have not been deposited" I got the same message three times!
Do NOT send this customer your items. You will likely not get paid or only be paid an amount you never agreed to!
I tried to sell them my iPhone 7. It was, IMO, in pretty good condition, with no obvious issues. The speed and ease of their service was good, which is why they get 2 stars instead of 1. However...
I rated my phone as Good and might have accepted a Fair, but they classified it with a Poor (or Faulty) rating due to, apparently, the front and back mics being 'faulty'. Or rather their PhoneCheck test said the quality was muffled or distorted. I take issue with this since I've recorded audio with my phone and have used it for 5 years with no microphone issues. I might have accepted a Fair evaluation because of a mic issue, but Faulty is just too much. Frankly I think this is just them trying to increase their profit by reducing my phone's valuation. I'm really waffling on whether to have them send it back of just accept the offer. I would have been better off using Apple's trade-in option.
Very plain and simple. I sent in my phone for a price they agreed on, then they changed the price that they offered me in which I DID NOT AGREE TO. Okay fine, they offered to send it back. PERFECT. BUT NO. They sent me back MINT NEW phone damaged, scratched and dinged up. I have NO IDEA what the heck they did to my phone. For all I know, they could have opened it and taken parts from it or did a switcharoo. But they send me back a SCCREWED up phone in which I could no longer sell as new or in good condition. SUPER SCAMMY, do NOT sell to this company. BIG WARNING.
I purchased my new phone and was saw Declutters add to buy my old one since it was less than a year old and in like new condition. I filled out all of the paperwork and they offered me $350 for my phone which I thought was a great price. I mailed it in to them in a secure bubble wrapped package and a few days later I get a "revised" offer of $51 for my phone as they claimed the earpiece did not work. It worked fine when I sent it in so I said no thanks and had them send it back to me. I just got it back and tested it myself and the earpiece works fine. My guess is they get these and hope people will just take their "revised " offer rather than deal with having the phones shipped back and I am guessing many people do. Then I am guessing they turn around and resell the phones at a nice profit. What a scam. - Stay away
Sent them my phone for the quoted price. Phone is in pristine condition. However, they claimed that the audio playback was inaudible, but I have recordings from the day before it was sent to them and the audio is just fine. No issues with that phone whatsoever. Initially offered my $771 and then tried to counter-offer me $120 for an unlocked, 256 iPhone 12 Pro.
I submitted two iphone to Declutrr for sale. They sent me confirmation of approval of and mailing labels. Upon receipt they sent confirmation.
They claim they paid me and and I told them they didn't. Then they required me to produce my bank statements for the dates when they claim payment was made, which I did.
I have been unable to find a phone number to discuss this with an agent of the company apparently they only do chats.
I did send the the statement they wanted as an attachment to their email. Then they wanted the date I sent, which I was able to produce.
When I indicated i was going to file a complaint the Chat Robot hung up on me.
When buying something used from a volume seller; items aren't always looked over as closely as a smaller sales company. That's why everything is rated by them to be either acceptable or good. I've been sent items that sometimes appear to have never been played, and sometimes items that live up to the acceptable rating (which is a playable but heavily used item). I've only once sent something back, and it wasn't hard to do. I've purchased many video games for assorted systems, dvds, and cds.
I sent them a 3 year old iPad in PERFECT condition. They are going for $200-225 locally, but I did not feel like dealing with all the texts and calls, so I decided to try Decluttr and sell the device to them for $125. Before sending it in I restored it to factory settings. Once they received the iPad there were problems with their website tracking the shipment. It took a while for them to acknowledge receiving it. I honestly thought they were going to just tell me they never received it and screw me over that way. Instead, they screwed me over by telling me they could not restore the device to factory settings, so they only paid $25 for it. I accepted it to be done with them. TERRIBLE SERVICE! SLOW TO RESPOND IF AT ALL! TOTAL RIPOFF. BEWARE! Decluttr is a TOTAL SCAM!
Two different things. Will sometime send coupon codes for an extra 10% or an extra $5 on items sent but then when you try to use the code they won't work. Second, and more seriously, I sent a ton of CDs over the years and it turns out even after you save an order they will delete items out of it with no notice. So you might scan a hundred CDs and get an offer amount of $100. But if you just save the order instead of completing it they will actually remove items with no notification whatsoever. And then you sent all 100 items and only get paid for the 50 that are still on the order. I have no idea how many items I've sent and never got paid for. I just realized they were doing this. I had a safe to order of 23 items with a value of $42 and then when I went back a few days later to complete the order I realized there were only three items still listed and the value was only about $8. If I had not noticed then I would have sent all 23 CDs expecting $42 and I would have only gotten $8. When I complained they said something like I have to check the order before actually sending. How would someone know to do that? I guess you're just supposed to know. And it's your fault if you don't. And of course they won't send back the items or tell you there's any problem. And if you complain about their dishonesty all you get is something like "I'm sorry you feel that way". I sent them probably 10 or 15 or maybe even twenty orders over the years and I've received quite a bit of money but it makes me wonder how many CDs Ive sent but they've never paid for. Probably a total of hundreds of dollars.
Do not ever send anything to Decluttr! I sent them an Apple watch 3-was supposed to received $ 69.30. They received it 12 days ago. Have not heard a thing from them & website is showing they are awaiting my items. However, the tracking receipt shows it received & signed for by Kelsey. Another rep advised the box arrived empty. The receipt shows the weight of the item, therefore, the box was not empty. They will not help me-they keep saying they are investigating but I never hear back from them. Every time I do a live chat (you cannot get through to their phone lines) it's a different rep with a different falsehood. One rep even disconnected me from chat. I have filed a claim with BBB.
This place is a complete scam. I sent 2 boxes. Both boxes were delivered by UPS same day however Decluttr claims they lost one. In the second box they claim there are missing items. Do not send anything to Decluttr unless you never want to see it again.
Had to send 3 emails for return label. Threatened not to refund since phone was locked since phone dead.
Stole my ipad and refused to pay. Customer service is the worst won't help at all. Stay away from this company.
Decluttr gave me an appraised value of 277 for an IPHONE X. After receiving the phone revised their evaluation to 75 claiming it was an international model that doesn't work with US carriers (only I used the phone on a US carrier for over a year). Decluttr now says it will take 7-10 days for them to return the phone and will not guarantee the condition of the phone. Seems like a rip off to me.
Answer: It is a legit company that reserves the right to keep your stuff and not pay you
Answer: I go to the library and print out shipping label. Go to Yahoo mail, or whoever you use, and you can print from there. Hope this helps Julie! And YES, they suck!
Answer: I've never purchased from them, only sold, but if they're dishonest in one direction it seems likely that they're dishonest in the other direction too.
Answer: Seemed legit and were mentioned on several respected web sites
