The company's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor communication, prolonged shipping delays, and issues with product quality and returns. Many customers report feeling misled by product descriptions and express frustration over unresponsive customer service, leading to claims of unethical practices. Conversely, a small number of reviews highlight satisfactory experiences with product quality, particularly regarding refurbished items. Overall, while some customers appreciate the selection and pricing, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a pressing need for improved transparency and reliability in customer service practices.

It took a couple of weeks and multiple emails including copies of UPS shipping information but I finally received the promised payment.
Made the mistake of not investigating this company prior to agreeing to sell them my operable but smashed screen IPad and a like new Nokia 7.1 that was barely used. Surprise, surprise, after waiting several weeks for payment, I was told that the cell phone was not in the package. It's now my word against theirs and guess who wins? Stay far away from these thieves.
I had 2 iPads to send them, they required two separate shipments so the shipment did not cause any confusion, I printed the shipping labels off their web site, one iPad arrived and was processed without any issues. The second one, according to their web site did not arrive. I checked the the status of the shipment from their website, and the tracking number was not found in the UPS system. I went to UPS and they found the real tracking number and I confirmed it was delivered on the same date as s the first one. It the took me two chat sessions to get confirmation that the second shipment had arrived, and it would be processed. Within two hours I received a diagnosis report that the device was faulty, I. E. the home button was defective. Funny, we never had a problem with the home button the entire time we owned it. They offered a minimal amount because of the issue. Not wanting to deal with these people anymore, I accepted the deal just to end it. I sent an email to object, and got no real response in reply.
This place is fraudulent at best. Do not expect to get what they promise on their web site, and has been pointed out in previous reviews, there is no address or phone number.
I've used them twice and both experiences were horrible and smell like a scam. I shipped boxes of DVDs and CDs to them, verified everything was included and took pictures of the shipping labels. Both times they claim I did not ship all the items listed on my order, claimed a box hadn't been delivered when it had and someone signed for it and then demanded I send them a copy of the shipping receipt. I told them I dropped the boxes off at a UPS drop box and do not have a receipt, to which they responded with they can't do anything unless I send proof I shipped it. They also refuse to process my first order and pay me until I resolve the missing items/box, which I literally can't. Do not use.
I feel so stupid; Decluttr offered the highest price for my Playstation 4. I sent them the unit expecting to receive full price. They 'revised' the offer claiming the disc tray was damaged I asked for them to return the unit and they did a BAIT AND SWITCH and sent me a non-functioning Playstation. Unit that was sent back was scratched and damaged, non-functioning and ironically still had a game disc in the drive. Wasn't mine, nor would their customer service do anything to fix the issue without me PAYING shipping to send it back.
I will do everything in my power to spread the word and burn this company to the ground. It's a total SCAM and FRAUD - I don't know why this company isn't being investigated criminally for STEALING electronics and goods. They purposely took a fully functioning Playstation and sent back a non-working unit. They will in term sell that Playstation and make a profit.
They will use a vague reason to massively reduce their offer without presenting evidence of the issue. My Xbox was in full working order, they offered over $100. It arrived with them and I was told it had a "significant software or hardware issue" with no further details despite my requests.
Scam set up to sell on your hardware for a profit.
Update: I finally received my console back after 6 weeks of waiting. And surprise surprise, it's working fine. Currently updating itself as I factory reset before sending (as they request)
I sent Decluttr my merchandise but never received my deposit to PayPal. They gave me the run around and never made the deposit. I do not recommend using.
I purchased an unlocked iPhone 6 to use while traveling internationally. When I tried to use it, I discovered it was not unlocked. Their customer service, once they finally responded, did not accept responsibility and did not offer a good resolution. Unfortunately, it was not cost effective to return from a foreign country.
DO NOT SELL ANYTHING TO THEM! THEY WILL NOT PAY YOU! ONCE YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT YOUR MONEY, THEY ASK YOU TO SEND BANK STATEMENTS TO PROVE YOU REALLY DIDN'T RECEIVE THE MONEY. A COMPLETE JOKE! DO NOT TRUST THEM! THEY WILL SAY THE PAYMENT WAS PROCESSED BUT YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR MONEY!
I sent an iPad Pro 11- inch Wi-Fi + Cellular 256GB to them along with original box and charger, in perfect condition, unlocked, and working after receiving an offer of $400+. About a week later I received an email from them stating that the pad would not power up or work lowering their offer to $41. I rejected same and elected to have them ship everything back to me. They acknowledged my rejection. It took them from December 8th, 21 until today February 8th before it arrived at my office. I immediately opened the box and the iPad was working and charging perfectly.
What a scam!
I am FURIOUS! I sent in my Apple iPhone 12 Pro in for an offer of $603 dollars. I placed it in its original carrier phone case, taped it shut, bubble wrapped multiple times, and taped the bubble wrap. I also sent in my series 6 Apple Watch the very same way for an offer of $173.
Once it arrived they sent me a revised offer of $126 for my phone stating that the screen was completely smashed/cracked. That is impossible! That thing was so secure there's no effing way it was smashed or even cracked. The watch they stated was still locked to an iCloud account. That's a lie, I'm not new to Apple products and removed it from everything prior to sending.
I would recommend taking a photo graph of your phone before shipping. My phone was in perfect before and was returned cracked.
Sent in my iPhone 7 in perfect condition, I was offered $60 for it. They said when they received it, that the screen was broken and I could only get $12. I've ready from many other reviews that this is what they do. If you reject the offer, they will just send you your phone back broken. Total scam! Avoid!
Same scam you're hearing from others: they quoted me $237 for an iPad Pro in great condition. I sent the iPad in (carefully shipped) and they claimed the screen had "pressure marks" and lowered their offer to $27.
I rejected the offer and requested my item back. It took them 10 days to ship in the location is only 10 miles from me.
I've since sold the iPad on eBay for $200.
Don't waste your time with Decluttr
Declutter was the highest offer of several sites. I listed my phone as being in good shape as it had minor signs of use—faint scratches, otherwise the phone was in excellent shape. They offered $508. They had the phone for two days and then came back with an offer of $273, citing deep scratches on face or body. BS. They offer high prices then hit you with low ball settlement offer knowing most people will just accept it. I declined it and they returned it. I then listed it on market place for $500. It sold within a day.
I am not sure how I missed these reviews before making a purchase from this company, the
Customer service is the worst. Run run the other way pay full price do anything else but don't make a purchase with them.
If you have equipment issue even with items that state is refurbished pristine (crap) there is no one to speak to, you email and someone responds at 4am they are looking into it. There. Is no one to help resolve anything if there is an issue, take your money anywhere else you will regret it, then are not even worth 1/2 a star.
Purchased product. Worked for 3 months, became deficient. Emailed x 3. Wont answer phone. Pooooor company and warranty doesn't exist. Dont buy from them. Unable to give no stars, or I would...
I sent them a 2018 Macbook and was told the battery is defective and revised the price to $35. WTF? The battery is degraded but it still hold it charges. It also doesn't cost $200 to replace the battery. There's no option to choose the battery life when I did the quote so as long as it's working then it's in working condition.
We returned a dead phone, they accepted the return and it been over a year and after many requests Decluttr has still not refunded the over $400 they owe us.
Beware!
Don't use this company! They claimed to not receive almost all of my items even though they were wrapped up in the same place as one item they did claim to get. Awful customer service too: they aren't seeming to budge on the fact that they are liars and a scam taking all my items and not paying me and then claiming I didn't send the items. I'm never using them again.
In September 2021 I had an iPhone X and an iPhone 6s to sell for a client. I do such electronics sales often for clients. I chose Decluttr after seeing online recommendations for them. The process was quick and relatively easy. They sent me the label for the package and I sent the items off via UPS. Several weeks later the package shows up on the UPS website as "On the Way-Delayed". I tried contacting UPS to find out what happened to the package only to find out that since I didn't pay for the label I could not get any help in tracking the package. Contacted Decluttr to have them try to track down what happened to the package and they refused to do it with out the IMEI numbers of the phones. Which I don't have because they're not my phones and I was never told to record those numbers prior to shipping. Almost 3 months later and I'm out the money for the phones and really no recourse.
Answer: It is a legit company that reserves the right to keep your stuff and not pay you
Answer: I go to the library and print out shipping label. Go to Yahoo mail, or whoever you use, and you can print from there. Hope this helps Julie! And YES, they suck!
Answer: I've never purchased from them, only sold, but if they're dishonest in one direction it seems likely that they're dishonest in the other direction too.
Answer: Seemed legit and were mentioned on several respected web sites
If you're looking to make quick cash or just need to declutter, sell your stuff with Decluttr today - we accept phones, CDs, DVDs, games, books, tablets and much more!
