Shipped my camera - two weeks later I have it back, fixed. Simple as that. I have recommended that two of my adult children send their cameras to Darn Toothy Sam as well.

I was waiting for a part for over 6 weeks. If it wasn't the part was on back order, it was that it was damage in transit to him. I already called my credit card company to launch a complaint to get my money back. Have anybody else notice the trick with the deliveries tracking number this person is providing on his comments? He is supposedly working out of an operation ran by two people and shipping out of "******* 4th Ave. South, Burnsville, MN *******". Three of the shipments he's referring to are shipping out of "EL PASO, TX *******, HAZELWOOD, MO ******* and FOREST PARK, IL *******". There could be a reasonable explanation but if you want good reviews you got to start satisfying customers and stop the bogus excuses.
Angel, I have no idea who you are sorry. I searched our orders and there is NOTHING from anyone named "Angel" in the year 2011.
If you purchased a Sony DSLR-A300/A350 LCD then yes, the shipping was greatly delayed because an entire shipment of them was damaged in transit to us and I had to order more. Sorry, sometimes problems happen with EVERY business EVERYWHERE in the world.

I called and spoke to Thomas about the problems w/ my digital camera. I sent it to him and it was sent back in a few weeks working perfectly.

I had no problems with this business. I ordered a circuit board for my G11 and had in my hands a little more then two weeks later. I think that's pretty good for a 15 dollar part and without shipping costs. Would I have liked it sooner? Well duh of course. But I had my camera's LCD screen working in under five minutes and could not be happier. Thanks darntoothysam

I am angry. This what happen to us. My daughter is studying in school in united states. Her camera break and we finding www.darntoothysam.com on the internet. She send to him at end of 2010 year and she no have her camera back. He has keeping the camera and take her money to fix it but no fix it and no return nothing to my daughter. I am not in the united state so is hard for me to help her from here. I try and call and she try and call his number on his website but nobody answer. We read this and we know it is a bad thing now that she sending her camera to him. My son did many searching in this place and he tell me is a trick for getting the camera from the people. This is what he is saying to do. Call to your credit card companys and they will put on hold the money he take so they can get the money back for you. We are check to his other site you find call www.artladymanor.com and is also a ripoff internet site. We find on www.ripoffreport.com he is doing same and trick people and getting the money. And he say is no his house and is a real busness and is no true. My son check and is no true. The www.darntoothysam.com is the house and you check on internet and see to. So do not beleve him. He lie to my daughter to much. When he is getting the money he do not talk or email no more. We already call to credit card company for help us.

The notes on your order state that you did not pay anything for the repair, we do not have any credit card payments from you that I know about! Your camera was repaired for free and is on the way back to you. I have already emailed you with the shipping information to your email on the order.

Okay I just read darntoothysams blog and the owner is telling everybody that fake people are complaining about fake transactions, Well I am a real person with a real order that I have not recieved yet or I don't know if I will ever receive it because all of the emails I have sent have not been responded to. I have sent about 5 emails since I ordered my product On June 26th 2011. I expected my package in 3-5 business days as I payed for expedited shipping and still have not received NOTHING. Not even an email saying that they shipped it. I have a receipt with an order #, but what good is that if no one at DarnToothySam answers me. If something happened to my order, at least have the professionalism to email me back. This company has great products but expect not to get your product or a warming response from Thomas Drayton. I have even called on several occasions and I always get the same message saying that Thomas Drayton is taking other calls. If you read this "Thomas Drayton" please note that I have already filed a complaint with the IC3 so you should be receiving something from them as well as my local fraudulant authorities. Oh and in case you want to FINALLY email me with a "Professional Excuse" my email is *******@yahoo.com
Jerry, there are plenty of fake reviews that Sitejabber has removed from our profile. If a customer has a legitimate complaint then we deserve a bad review. Problem is, you never hear from our THOUSANDS of happy customers, just the unhappy few.
One of my repair techs, Alex, answers emails from the sales address. I will make sure I start helping answer those emails as he obviously can't keep up with them all. We are a small shop, I can't afford to have a call center in India answer the phones, I answer all calls myself as best I can.
I found your order information by searching for "Jerry". Your LCD screen didn't get ordered, sorry. I will have a Sony order processed on Friday and your LCD will be here Mon or Tues and we will ship it out to you that same day.
You may report us to any authorities you like, we have never done anything wrong to anyone and have never had any problems with any "authorities" of any kind.

I, unlike many on this site, had an excellent experience with darntoothysam.com. I ordered a lens repair kit for my daughter's Canon SD1000 that had been dropped. The kit was delivered quickly. Once I took a look at the size of the parts I knew my huge hands weren't going to be able to do the repair. I called several times before I was able to talk with Thomas directly (the only slightly negative part of the experience). When I got him, I explained what had happened and asked if I could send in the camera with the repair kit and have him do the repairs. I sent the camera and the parts (along with a check for the $20 difference between the parts and the complete repair cost). My daughter's camera was returned within one week (total turnaround time), perfectly repaired.
I get the impression this is pretty much a one man shop, so I guess quick turnaround may have been a problem for some of you. I usually trust consumer reviews, but I say with confidence that I would recommend this site for camera repair any time based on my personal experience.
On 10/18/2010 I ordered a LCD Screen for my DSC H1 Sony Cyper Shot Camera when I received the LCD Screen in December after many emails and it was broken when I emailed back I was told if I send it back which I did on Dec 6th they would replace it but to this date I have never received a thing including any email replies. I have kept all of my emails and even asked to be refunded my money but still no response. Still would like to see my money back or atleast a LCD Screen that is not broken
I sent my point and shoot Samsung camera to them in order to replace a cracked viewfinder LCD display. It took some time for the screen to come in, but the repair happened quickly after that. Unfortunately, it was shipped to the wrong address and it took longer to get it back from the post office at the wrong address. However, I chalk this up to just an honest mistake on their shipping address label. Once we did receive the camera, we found that the new display worked great and it was well worth the wait. If not for the shipping mishap, I would have given them a 4 star rating. I'm sure they will understand why I chose a 3.

Ordered a bit for my damaged Canon - arrived pretty quickly and a good price too. Happy to do business with them again.
I have emailed them several times asking for the part I ordered since they already charged my paypal for it. Most places do not charge you until the item is shipped. They rarely answer emails. Mostly they ignore you which is bad for business. I will dispute this on paypal and I will find another source for Canon camera parts. If you're in a hurry skip DTS. They do not understand about customer service and communication but they WILL take your money!

Thomas D. Blamed Alex since he doesn't read "sales" emails. Funny since they seem to be working from a small house. Apparently Thomas is so busy answering complaints on the internet and wearing his sass hat that he has no time to call Canon about parts or do his job. Poor Alex is just a fall guy!
Thomas D. I don't believe all I read online. But I believe you did not keep your word to the people who complained. They are not fake or made up like you want to believe. I know you want my order number to make sure I'm "real" but your bogus site never gave me one or an order confirmation email for that matter. You should follow the advice of the nice man who had his 9 year old send you money and close your site until you can get a handle on your "job". You definitely have a screw loose and I don't mean in your camera!
To order camera parts from Canon call *******569. They told me the part was on back order before they even took my card info. They immediately send order acknowledgement and confirmation emails. That is how a good company does business. It's nice to not be ignored and not have my money stolen by a scam biz!
Heather (HM): You paid with Paypal, which is ALWAYS instant no matter who you pay or why, we don't control that. You filed a Paypal dispute, and I refunded it no problem.
The battery door is on backorder and we don't know when the national parts distribution center will get any.
You told me you spoke with Alex via email 1 or 2 times; he repairs cameras, answers emails and does shipping here, we are a small shop. I don't know why he didn't let you know it's on backorder but it's hard for us to keep up on every email every day. You then emailed me at a different email address and I responded right away. You then gave me grief that I responded to you right away, I don't understand why.
We ship out dozens upon dozens of parts and repaired cameras every week. I have never stolen anything from anyone and I did nothing to you other than have a part that was out of stock.
I truly recommend this repair service to anyone. I mailed off my camera and I got it back within a week as promised 5-7 days. I love the way it was returned clean and shiny and appreciated his fast service and it works even better than before.
I ordered the parts in late may and I have them here with the camera repaired, by myself thanks to the excellent instructions. I could have sent it to canon and spent in excess of $ 100.00 but I bought the parts from DTS and for $ 30.07 I am back in business. Excellent experience all around and highly recommend them if you have a busted camera.

I'm sure you can find a camera repair shop, w/ a full-time customer service department that will cost you far more; making repairing your camera illogical.
I ordered a Canon Powershot SD790 IS Camera Handstrap Body Trim Piece which comes with two screws as shown in the product page(http://www.darntoothysam.com/products/Canon-Powershot-SD790-IS-Camera-Handstrap-Body-Trim-Piece.html). When i received my order, i didn't receive the two screws. What do i do with just the body trim piece. I sent couple of emails to the THomas but no response!
I shipped you new screws today and emailed you already. Why would I steal screws from you? Makes no sense.

I have sent two cameras for repairs and have had good communication from Thomas, and really reasonable price for parts and service. He advised me how to repair the broken screen on my Canon and the part was sent promptly. When a clasp broke while replacing it, I was unable to complete the repair myself. I then sent it to him and for only $30, he fixed it and returned it promptly.
I had no reservations about sending my daughter's camera to him recently for a replacement screen, and the price and time frame for repair are both reasonable.
I would recommend this business to others as fair, prompt and honest.

Answer: Dan, please stop with your lies. You are not even a customer of ours! If you are, what is your order number, post it here. I have no orders from anyone named Dan that aren't completed and shipped. Yes, I run my business from my home. I have customers drop by every week to give us cameras to repair, then they come back and pick them up and pay for our service. They are very happy with us. There are other companies that have started from a home as well. One or two that come to mind are Amazon.com and Apple. Are they scams? Zkarlo.com is not my company. I live in a city of 50,000 people, there are plenty of other businesses here. I have never stolen anything from anyone, and if you were a real person you would tell me what your order number is so I can figure out what your complaint is with us. You are a fake name made up just to slander us, but I have no idea who you are or why you are so mad. The only way I would know is if you told me who you really are.
