Ordered the Schuberth E2 at my local Cycle Gear store to get my MSF RC discount. Since this was a substantial order, I first signed up for RPM membership to take advantage of the cash back opportunity. Then the transaction for the helmet & Comm purchase got declined due to possible fraud (small purchase followed by large…)! We eventually got that sorted out, order was placed and I awaited my 2-day delivery. Helmet & comm arrived at my door in two days as expected. When I opened the helmet box I found some hairs in the helmet liner! Was this a new lid or a return? Oh well, I picked out the few hairs and donned the lid. It was VERY snug. Unfortunately, it turns out to be a Large, I ordered an XL. Ugh. Upon further examination the box had several labels on it. Some indicating it was a Large and yet others an XL. I called the store. The manager was very apologetic and asked I bring the helmet in for refund & reorder of correct size which I did. Two days later the correct size arrived!
All store personnel were very professional, personable & helpful throughout the experience. As for the Schuberth E2… this is my 2nd Schuberth. I've been wearing an E1 for the past 6 years and generally loved it. I anticipate the E2 to be an improvement over the E1 as most reviews seem to indicate. I have yet to ride with the E2, but wearing it around the house the fit is excellent. The eye port is slightly larger than the E1 too which is great for me since I wear glasses. So far it's surely comfortable enough. The SC2 comm set was also easy to install and I'm learning how to control its different features. Looking forward to riding with it soon.
Ordered a white modular helmet, from the store. Received a silver helmet, had to take it back to the store to exchange. It was a hassle, and never got the white Helmet.
Shopping here makes everything easy. The helmet is amazing. Lots of air. Great quality/color. At first I didn't understand why ppl bought so many helmets, and now I do.

We updated from well enjoyed Packtalk Bold headsets to the new Cardo Packtalk PRO headsets. The new features make it worth the investment including crash detection, improved speakers as stock and more voice commands. Win my wife says this was a good investment, I know we selected a winner! Cardo is the industry leader that all others follow. I'm selling a Sena 50s which I tested and it's okay, but impossible to use with gloves. Never again will I waste money on Sena. As for Cycle Gear, we are excited they have opened a new store in Winston-Salem. Of course they do not stock the Pro. Go figure. I ordered these to support them and the free two day shipping as an RPM member turned into 8 days! Thanks USPS and thanks Cycle Gear for selecting the worst carrier choice option in the industry. I could have purchased from Amazon for the same price and had next day delivery. All good, just saying.
Parts missing and took almost 2 weeks to receive the order when order said 2 days.
I got what I wanted at a fair price and very quickly delivered. At the beginning of the purchase it promised a discount if you put in info. At completed entering the discount code I was told"only valid for new buyers " No discount. I think all the suppliers do this to lure people in and get the sale anyway.
I was looking at Windscreen for my MT-09 and trying to decide on color. Then it sold out right before my eyes. So I started and alert to let me know when it came into stock and bought it immediately. A few Days later, while I was out of town it arrived. Day after I got home I installed the new item. Great packing and quick shipping.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
