My overall experience was great, I ordered the tires online, used the online chat to get a price match, tires shipped to local store with in a couple of days and the local store in Sterling Heights, MI had the tires mounted and balanced for me in a day.
Were able to price match via the chat and got the best price around.

I forgot to include my apt number on my shipping address so I contacted cycle gear. The customer rep reached out to the carrier in time to update my address. It was delivered on time.
Local Cycle Gear store sold me the wrong brake pads. Through no fault of their own, their website called for the one's they sold me. When I went to exchange them the employee spent about 45 minutes trying to figure out which ones I needed. He had to resort to an old school paper catalog, only to find out CG is out of stock for that hh rated sinterd pad. I had to settle for a lesser rated semi- sinterd pad. This was ok due to being a rear pad. Pads came in a fairly timely manner. 5 +stars for the employee who took the time to figure it out. 2 stars for the CG website that needs updating for this application.
Experienced the best customer service throughout the transaction and shipping process.
It was very easy to navigate through the search filters and was easy to make sure I was ordering the right product. I ordered front and back tires for my husbands cruiser. It was nice to see the cut and dry ordering and tracking cycle gear provides.
Shopped on line, tried stuff on in the store, ordered the size and color I wanted on line, picked it up at the store, easy peasy.
I got another bike and ended up ordering a couple things from cycle gear; this time both of them came exactly on time, so good job on the shipping and fulfillment side.
CG is the single largest Brick and Mortar Motorcycle Store for a reason. They have all the big name gear, the basics for maintenance, and attentive (not bothersome) staff that know the ins and outs of what they sell because they ride too.
The oil filter was competitively priced, arrived promptly, and is of good quality. It's already installed and working admirably. I'd buy it again and will also shop from CycleGear again.
My shopping experience was 5 Stars. The website was easy to use, there was a good product selection, and pricing was competitive.
I received my order in less than 3 days but the jacket is 2 sizes to small I need to get ahold of a representative to return it other wise I received my order in a timely manner & free of defects

The store in Rogers AR only had an XL in stock to try on. It seemed to fit pretty good. BUT I get pressure point at forehead. I've only ever been able to wear XXL and some of them had to have adjustments made.
They might be just what you're looking for. They are quite plain looking, and comfortable to walk around

The helmet is just what I wanted. FedEx delivery was a day late. Was in an intermediate shipping location for over 36 hours. Not Cycle Gears fault but they should put pressure on FedEx for better service.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
