Ordered a 2,000$ exhaust. Box was extremely damaged. Both carbon pieces where cracked. Missing bolts. Obviously had been installed before. Poor packaging. One peice of bubble wrap that wasn't popped. Virtually no protection for anything inside.

This fuel tank is for my 99 Yamaha WR400FL. Its 1/2 gal larger then my stock tank which I cracked when I dumped it. The new tank for my bike fits well with a little bit of tweaking with both the side fairings. It took me about 2 hrs. To install "taking my time". The fuel tanks right bracket doesn't get used on the new tank install, the lower radiator bolt basically holds the right side tank in place very well. I had to file & enlarge the 2 fuel petcock holes so the 2 strainers (screens) would fit through the tanks holes at the bottom. Luckily, they had a gasket for the petcock which worked great. The stock fuel tank seems more thicker & more solid than this replacement. However, it was hard to find a fuel tank for a bike that's 26 years old & the only decent one I could find for my Yamaha. The new tank sits a little higher than stock, no big deal. I'm pleased with this new tank, no leaks & the directions were written well & the install went well along with what I mentioned above for it to fit my bike nice & securely. They also provided a new fuel cap in case the stock one doesn't fit, With that said, there is no vent hose provided which they should for the price you pay for this tank. I used my original fuel cap hardware which fit nicely. Rode the bike in the dirt after install, works great, no leaks & looks good with my new BLUE IMS fuel tank.

My overall experience was great, I ordered the tires online, used the online chat to get a price match, tires shipped to local store with in a couple of days and the local store in Sterling Heights, MI had the tires mounted and balanced for me in a day.
Were able to price match via the chat and got the best price around.

I forgot to include my apt number on my shipping address so I contacted cycle gear. The customer rep reached out to the carrier in time to update my address. It was delivered on time.
Local Cycle Gear store sold me the wrong brake pads. Through no fault of their own, their website called for the one's they sold me. When I went to exchange them the employee spent about 45 minutes trying to figure out which ones I needed. He had to resort to an old school paper catalog, only to find out CG is out of stock for that hh rated sinterd pad. I had to settle for a lesser rated semi- sinterd pad. This was ok due to being a rear pad. Pads came in a fairly timely manner. 5 +stars for the employee who took the time to figure it out. 2 stars for the CG website that needs updating for this application.
Experienced the best customer service throughout the transaction and shipping process.
It was very easy to navigate through the search filters and was easy to make sure I was ordering the right product. I ordered front and back tires for my husbands cruiser. It was nice to see the cut and dry ordering and tracking cycle gear provides.
Shopped on line, tried stuff on in the store, ordered the size and color I wanted on line, picked it up at the store, easy peasy.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
