I ordered a clutch lever and lever mount. They did not ship together, and were fulfilled by different locations. My lever mount went to the west coast (I am in Michigan), and I was never given any notification by Cycle Gear or Fed Ex. I was able to watch it via the tracker, but no one followed up with me, and it took longer coming from Texas than a different delivery took coming from overseas. Fed Ex said it was a label - but I don't know if Cycle Gear knows what happened. I am an RPM member, and don't pay for shipping, but this package wasn't the best for delivery.
Great prices and incredibly fast shipping. I only wish the retail stores carried more stock of the higher end helmets and gear.
I purchased a Bell Clear Shield for $30.00. When I received it the price tag was $14.95. I went to your store in Utica and asked for a price adjustment. The young man at the desk was unable to approve and called his manager. Upon talking to him the response was best we can offer is to split the difference. I accepted as I did not want to deal with this any longer. However, I am very disappointed that Cycle Gear would not honor the tagged price of the product.
I ordered a new helmet online. The numbers from the size chart matched my current helmet. It was a different brand than what I currently have. When I got the new helmet it was too small. I had to return it. I just wish the size chart info had been accurate so I don't have to order something multiple times to get it to fit.
Shopping online at cyclegear.com is easy. I can find out if what I am looking for is available either at my local store or online.
Went to the store to try and pick up a helmet same day, but had to order the size/color I was looking for. No big deal. But I was assured next day delivery, but arrived 5 days later. Had a small window I was concerned about, that I explained, before selling a motorcycle, and missed that window by 3 days.

I've had a overall good experience every time I've used the cyclegear website. The only complaints are inconsistencies with the sizing across products, the generally confusing sizing chart guides, and a overall poor selection of women's riding gear or equivalent sizes in men's//one size fits all.
There was a modest delay with shipping on the carriers part.
Found what I want got it ordered and picked up at the store all in a short timeframe. Will be purchasing again.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
