I needed a new brake switch for my Harley. Cycle Gear is local to me and I was able to order online and pick up in store. Free delivery. They also had the best price for it. Easy decision.
I have ordered many products from Cycle Gear over the past years. Most times, I choose the delivery to store option so I can pick them up at my leisure as the store is near my home and place of work. The products have always been delivered timely and I have no issues with the website or the ordering process. The return process is exceptionally easy with no hassles about a product that you decided wasn't going to work out. This is really important to me as many companies make returning a product difficult despite their claims about no hassle returns.
I really want to mention the staff at my store in Brookfield, Wisconsin as they deserve credit for their outstanding customer service. They always call, in addition to text when a product comes in, and if you call to inquire about your product being delivered due to a UPS/FED-X notification received, they will even go so far as to sort through the unopened deliveries in order to find your item so it can be picked up that same day. In addition, they treat me and other customers I have seen in the store with utmost respect and professionalism, are helpful and very knowledgeable about the products in the store. Always have had a great, friendly experience when in my store.
I bought a rear break pads. Did not install them as of yet. The reviews were good, the price was fine, i hope the pads will work fine. Now just need to install.
I was able to order the tire, have it delivered to the store. Then they mounted and balanced the tire for me. No problems.
This is my second SEDICI Helmet from Cycle Gear. The went to the store in Colorado Springs CO to try on helmets from Schuberth and a few other brands. They gave me a personal shopper experience and even change out the clear visor on my existing SEDICI helmet. I went to pay for the new clear visor, and they said it was on them and they didn't charge me. I did not buy a helmet that day. I few days later I went online and bought the Carbon Fiber SEDICI modular helmet. Because of how they treated me while visiting the store.
First, a shout out to CG. When the Forma Voyager touring boots I ordered ran small, with zero questions, CG provided me an RMA number and my return was shipped out the very next day. Second shout out goes to their wise product line choice - Forma. In my opinion (I'm "Old School"), leather is still one of the best, if not the best, materials in which to craft footwear. For most of the lower 48 states' more temperate seasons, leather is more comfortable, protective, and especially, durable, than any synthetic I've tried to date. But leather is becoming more and more passed over by the manufacturers in favor of synthetics. I'm not sure why but undoubtedly the factors of availability and cost have a lot to do with it. I am fairly certain It is not because of a higher calling, one of providing the best quality, most durable product to the customer. Over the decades I've worn SIDI, Alpinestars, Hein Gericke, common ordinary lace up boots, street shoes and so forth. The Forma on and off-road product lines are some of the best I've used to date. Comfortable, durable, protective, safe and with the inner waterproof liner, relatively dry in the rain.
They said tire was damaged in shipping but had cut in bead from ware it look like trying to mount it. Had to reorder tire again. Said it would be done as soon as it come in call was not done gave me a time still not done so I said ok to give you time pick up in the morning still was not done when I got there had to wait about an hour. Go it back to put tire on and the wheel weights fell off they did not clean off before putting them on. Lesson learned I will not be ordering anything else's from Cycle gear.
Had a very pleasant experience, the tires were installed as promised, however, they were supposed to contact me when the tires were done and ready for pick up and that never happened. This led me to follow up with them and find out that the tires have been done for a day. Not a huge deal I wasn't in a rush, but don't tell me you're going to follow up with me and then do nothing. Otherwise awesome experience.
Ordered a tire, shipped to my local Cycle Gear store. Cycle Gear mounted the tire on my rim that I brought in. Excellent job, fast and professional service.
Best place to buy all motorcycle needs
The 2 Day shipping, especially in a time where being busy means not being able to make it to CG for in person pickups, makes all the difference. Either calling the store or ordering online, I've never had an issue with the shipping. The only thing is, depending on what time you order, it may be an extra day. But still worth it's weight.
Giving 5 stars for ease of online shopping! I live remote so I ordered and picked up at a store I had not been to before. (Riverside store) Jason helped me with the order of 3 different items. Took my time tried on everything it all worked as advertised. It's nice when you have to travel and can depend on a business to provide you with your needs like they were right down the street from home. Thank you CG and Riverside store for making it easy
Making easy to shop for our biker boys
All items arrived eventually, lost a star because the shipping label or tracking ID said the second item was delivered but wasn't. Don't know if that was cycle gears mistake or the carrier. Item that was in delivered status arrived two days later.
Package sent to my state and then for some reason sent to NY but then eventually turned back around and sent to my state again
Purchased online as store did not have my size in stock. Purchased online.
Like to do business with companies with a local presence. Convenient shopping for in stock items and quick delivery of special order items.
Local pickup w/ free shipping cinched it,
I went to the store in Beaverton, OR to look for a specific helmet that I had picked after online research. While they didn't have the color I wanted, they had the same model and I could try it on. They then ordered one in the color I wanted to ship directly to my house.
The guys at the store were friendly and knowledgeable.
It takes longer to arrive than RevZilla and Amazon but costs the same.
From the perspective of a consumer, where is the value of ordering through CycleGear?
Ordered what I needed. They didn't have it at the store so they ordered it for me and it was very fast delivery very pleased with their service. Very helpful. Employees will definitely buy from them again.
Had to get new gear as it's been a few years since I've had a dirt bike. Got some great deals on the things I needed.
I live in a rural area, 4 hours from the nearest Cycle Gear. To make a trip to the city worthwhile, I have to schedule some things in advance and hope there are no issues. In this case, I ordered the tire, and had it shipped to the store, a week in advance. I took my wheel in to have the tire mounted and balanced. They were short handed due to circumstances beyond their control, but put some extra effort into getting me taken care of that day. I appreciate this as I wouldn't have been able to try again for at least a month.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
