Easy to order. Product arrived in 3 days. Had 1 question, so called and got an answer while on the phone.
It was easy process, found the parts which I needed (tires and sparkplugs) added them to my cart and checked out. A few days later the parts started arriving came in 2 different shipments one UPS, and the other by mail.
I went in to look at bike lifts and none were in store to hold our 850 lb bikes so the associate in parts found it, ordered it, I paid for it and it was in a couple days later!
Ordered a jacket… took a week to ship. They said they would send it overnight on a Thursday... didn't get it til the next Tuesday...

The guys inside the store were super helpful in finding my helmet (what I went in for). I didn't really know my size but the guy that helped me was really knowledgeable and made some great suggestions about which helmet might work for me! Purchased a helmet and headset via the cycle gear website and within my warranty time the headset left ear piece had issues so took a trip to the store and they got a new one order and replaced very quick.
Other than the order saying I bought 2 helmets and 2 were delivered when i only ordered 1 and 1 was delivered everything was fine, i was only charged for 1
Ordered some MX boots through the local Cycle Gear store rather than on my own from home because I wanted to give them credit for their assistance. I feel that the process for ordering in the store could be improved. It took longer that it should and seemed like the sales associate had to jump through some hoops to make it happen. Otherwise, the items were delivered on time and as described.
I can't remember the person's name that helped me but he definitely wanted to make sure I got what I need. The only problem is the item we ordered was not the right one unfortunately.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
