I stopped in to my local CycleGear with my last helmet in hand, and said, I need a new one and they hooked me right up with another Arai. Great to deal with. Glad they are around.
I purchased tires on the Cycle Gear website and had the tires delivered to the store closest to me (about 80 miles away) for installation on my rims. I was contacted by email after the order was placed, and again when the tires arrived at the store.
I contacted the store to see when it would be best fpr the tire installation and made a trip to the store. I was greeted by Stephen T. And exlpained I was from out of town and would like to leave the with wheels and tires installed the same day. He said they had several jobs already scheduled, but since I was form out of town he would work it in as quickly as possible. He said it may take as long as two hours, which I was prepared for.
Stephen verified the tires were in the store and prepared the work order for the shop work. I browsed the store while the tires were being installed. We discussed the valve stem placement and tire installation and left me feeling like he knew motorcycles well.
The store has a great selection of helmets, riding clother and other gear as well as a nice line of chemicals and other parts (various oils, brake fluid, pads, wheels locks etc). In about an hour, Stephen came and let me know the tire installation was complete. He checked me out and offered to help carry the wheels out to my vehicle.
All in all, a great experience with outstanding customer service. Much appreciated! I'll be back.

Went into the Tacoma store to pick up another helmet. Through trying on various helmets we discovered it would be best to simply order thicker padding for my current helmet. So they helped me place an order with Shoei for two thicker pads.
First time purchasing a helmet for my riding class. I asked the employee Luis to help me find a helmet that was DOT approved for my course. He went above and beyond to help me find the correct helmet and riding gloves. Thank you Luis.

Ok, so I order a 500.00 dollar pair of boots. Received the package today for a ride we are doing this weekend. When I opened the package what I received was a jacket. Immediately called customer service, explained that I needed my boots overnighted to me. He was more concern about getting the jacket back. I said, look if you can't get me the boots by Friday, please cancel the order and I will order from Revzilla. He became very sarcastic and said, sure order from our sister company. He then accuses me of making fun of him and hangs up on me. Wow!
I had to return my order. The process was painless and my refund was issued promptly.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
