Well educated employees and always courteous. Enjoy looking at the different merchandise that yall carry.
We bought new helmets and communication systems and the staff at Cycle Gear on Olson Drive were amazing. Great advice, suggestions, answers to all of our questions. Sean and Kristy helped us and made things so smooth. Our helmets arrived at the store and were "ready for us to ride" when we picked them up. We definitely recommend Cycle Gear on Olson Drive. They are awesome!
I've been a long time Cycle Gear customer, well over ten years. I've not had a problem until this latest local servicing. I've had tires installed by Cycle Gear techs for my BMW a few times now, never having an issue. After moving back to Huntsville AL, I've attempted to have the same Mitas E07 tire installed as I had in Knoxville TN. As soon as I bring the tire in the door, the problems begin. 1) they complained that because it's a BMW rim, they won't do the installation. Oddly enough, the rim cost is the same for this BMW as it is on a Honda, yet the person complained about 'expensive spokes'. None of the technicians prior to coming to the store has ever denied the installation. After explaining that this isn't the first time I've had a tire installed by CG stores, they reluctantly accepted but only after I accepted any damages that may happen to the rim. This is truly odd behavior. 2) the technician completed the work with no visible damages to the rim, thankfully. They then went to charge $48 for the installation. I found this odd, as the last time the tire had been changed, the cost was $20 plus tax. Now it's doubled in less than a year? I inquire, and found that they itemized the hardware, charging for a valve stem core that was the exact same as the one they took out? It really doesn't make sense, but fine. By this time, I'd been sitting around for over an hour waiting for the tire to roll out, and I'm ready to get out of this store. Paid their crazy extra prices and left The overall experience with the local CG store has gone downhill. I'll not be going back again.
Searched for a tank bag for my XR1200. Had to be strap mount. Found the NelsonRigg commuter sport bag. Built well and fits perfect. Also purchased the commenter lite tail bag that fits my factory luggage rack. Going to order saddle bags next. Shipping was quick and I was pleased with the price and quality.
The search menu does not function as smooth as it should, glitches.
Great experience. The employees were super helpful. I came in not knowing what I needed or how to even begin looking and was helped immediately by an employee. He answered all my questions and helped me make my decision to get my helmet
Measured according to site and helmet seems a bit tight. Would have exchanged for a bigger size but I'm a little short on time. Helmet is difficult to get on, hoping it loosens the more I wear it.
The helmet I wanted was in stock in my size. The visor I wanted was not in stock but was sent by mail arriving in 3 days. Excellent service.
Good. Delivered on time. I do not like these surveys. They are a waste of my time.
Went into Draper store. Had a quick look around. But there was to much to choose from. Talked to Mike and he got me sorted. Went through a couple helmets. Got one better than expected. Then found a jacket gloves and boots. All for cheaper than I was expecting to pay. Mike gave me advise and wasn't there to sell me on the most expensive items. Got stuff that worked for me. That man's top notch. He got my web order sorted for me. And got me all signed up for buying more stuff online. Highly recommend the store and Mike for his help.
Purchased 2 new helmets. Staff was awesome. Installed communication systems in our helmets for us. Gave a brief overview how the system works. Overall Great experience.
Salesperson was a big help. Very knowledgeable! Great selection and awesome prices
Shipping took way too long for no reason. I just dropped almost 600 bucks on $#*! and it took over a week to get here. Kinda ridiculous. But products are good no complains about products
The helmet is good quality and fit. The visor fits over regular prescription eye glasses.
I decided on a Schubert C5. I went into the store in Sandy UT. Huge store. With a fifteen foot high wall of helmets on display. But help was hard to find and when I finally did they knew less about their product than I did. Ended up ordering online.
Products are great and prices are decent. The staff is very friendly. Minimal staff makes shopping difficult.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
