I was new to plasma donation in August 2023. I didn't anticipated the lengthy time that a first time donation would take. I feel that the first time donor procedure could be better explained on the website.
It seems like every month that goes by, the payout is getting lower and lower, and I feel like it's corporate to blame! These companies make more money from returning donors than new donors, so it's no surprise why people come. Which is for a multitude of reasons. Though the staff is nice, it still doesn't change the fact that, on some days, waiting while standing the entire time in a long line that can last for hours
There are never any bonus codes, especially for returning donors. And to add insult to injury, you get half a bottle of water and individual mini-wrapped crackers that you'd find on the table of a diner. The company writes things like By donating plasma, you are helping save lives and earning rewards that can be used to support "your personal goals and aspirations. Like what? Gas money! Or something from the dollar menu!
Now that there are barely any people there, greedy corporate executives probably think that they will be able to make up for those dry days around the upcoming holidays. What they fail to understand is that nobody likes to be taken for granted, let alone feel like they're fighting a corporation like CSL that takes what they want and drops pennies into a prepaid card as if they're doing anyone a favor.
When you play people like that, all you do is make them find better, more reliable options. And pretty soon, it wouldn't shock me if these kinds of money-hungry people shut down! Because we all know centers like that are mainly in middle- to mid-lower-class areas, their main mistake is to assume their donors are desperate and would settle for whatever crumbs they're feeling like shelling out. And how much profit does CSL make?
The company's net profit after tax attributable came in at $2.44 billion for the year ended June 30 on a constant currency basis, compared with $2.24 billion the previous year Aug 14,2023.
I was rejected by CSL for low Iron. So purchased Iron supplements and began taking them. CSL repeatedly rejected me for low Iron. While I was taking said Iron. I went to my Doctor for test. When the results came back. My Doctor asked me why my Iron is so very high. Explaining that my Iron is not just high, it is super way high. Showing that CSL is full of $#*!. I will NEVER go to CSL again, $#*! them. John Norris
I was demoted after asking for reasonable accommodation. I will be filing with the EEOC, but want to warn any other disabled job seekers to steer clear!
Worst ever center I have ever been to! The techs can't get a stick the 1st try. Use both arms and then after leave you so bruised you can't donate 2 times in the same week. Plus the nurses don't seem to care. They just say we will have to refer you for weeks. Multiple people complain daily about this. To many centers to use other than this one.Never will I step foot in this facility or ever refer anyone here!?
I've been donating plasma regularly since May of 2020. Overall it has been a good experience. The staff is helpful and professional. I wish there could be a way to make the wait shorter. There are days where it takes over 2 hours for the whole process. The app needs a little tweaking. I was locked out for several days. I called the help line, and that took a couple phone calls to get back into the app. The same survey has been used for quite awhile. Not sure what good the same survey questions do time after time.
Sometimes it isn't even worth it to wait over 2 hours to donate. CSL plasma desperately needs help in both the reception area and donor floor
Even when busy workers still maintain composed and get the job done. Always a peaceful place to get my donations done.
I was at the CSL plasma center on August 10th. I had accidentally parked. In a handicap space, which everyone does when there's no other parking space is open. And on this day, this worker screener named miss Nancy decided to do the securities job and I felt singled out. She knows so much about the rules but didn't tell me. All I had to do was walk out with a security guard. And what I got my place back in line. She purposely canceled out my visit. And I had to do the whole process over again. Which took me longer to donate through the whole process. Now mind you, she has been working there for years. She has nothing to do with security but acts like she's doing their job. I didn't know they gave her 2 jobshe's very nosy and loose talking with people of color because of her. Some people might not want to donate there.
Poor calibrated equipment, VERY
PREJUDICE, monkeys are us.

Mobile, AL location: The screeners at the front are the worst! The are not friendly and have an attitude every time I've been there. They are power tripping instead of making donors feel at ease. The mission statement on the wall states you have a welcoming environment. That is laughable!
Csl is a wonderful place to donate plasma. The staff are always super friendly and the wait time is not long.
York PA - you will be hurdled in like cattle. It takes around an hr and half just to get to bed at anytime and no chairs to sit and pay not great either. Not enough employees always long lines
Ellieas hilery Maritsa lyric tamra Carla marina noha great people good sense of humor I will always go back love everything about this and Anahi great to like the screening kamryn Ashley
I have two years of donating plasma and i have never seen a place as disorganized and unprofessional as csl plasma - don't get me wrong I know people work hourly and work for a check but to care for a patient could be a little faster - I am a nurse and it does mot take twenty minutes to check someones vitals
After going the series of mistakes and wait time and poor service to check in and process donors is highly lacking as their priority.
The facility is clean and up to date but they aren't busy and never full. My guess is due to the poor quality of service.
Most of everyone is pleasant! I love the girls in reception! Iam thanked when leaving an told to have a good day as well!
I love my CSL Plasma Center#205! The staff is the best, bar none! Even when short staffed and busy, I've not yet seen or heard an unhappy comment. I have a tricky vein, and can only use my left arm to donate, but thanks to staff members like Harley, Mia, Abby, Lindsay, Brittanie, Kristina Theresa and the rest of the gang, I most often finish my donation without incident! They are sweet, kind, compassionate, and professional. I wouldn't go anywhere else even if they paid more! Thanks #205! I love you all and you have my utmost respect!
I enjoy coming all of the staff are super friendly and family like! And I have a very pleasant experience every time I come!
