They have the best customer service I have ever used. I have a cruise for May 8 the today is may 4th I did all my paperwork for express broarding on my computer when I went to print it out my computer broke. I couldn't print the passes. I was so upset that I would have to make the line at the dock. I call them an ask if they could fax me a copy of my broarding pass they told me they could that they will mail it. Well today they sensed someone to my house with the broarding pass. They are like about 2 hours away from my house. But my agent made sure that I got the passes. I have travel many times and this is the first time. Something like this has ever happen to me. ( my mother is in hospice at home that why I couldn't go somewhere else to print the passes) I will never use another agency other than cruise direct. That was my experience with them. For reasons beyond my control, I had to cancel only 18 days out on a Mexican Riviera cruise. My husband was still going to go. This sent CruiseDirect into a tizzy. I was only given a $95 refund (taxes) and nobody seemed to want to answer my questions as to why so low? All the "Cancellation Policies" pointed to me getting at least 15-25% back.
I also tried to book a transfer from airport to port with CD and they told me it was booked. Then they said I hadn't provided me with a credit card # to book it... they already HAD my CC#! I read their e-mail to them where I was never asked for my CC # again.
There was also a price reduction from Princess for the cruise. I was able to get our cruise reduced but when I had my Sis-in-law try, CD couldn't seem to reduce her cruise (same cruise, same type stateroom, etc.). Ridiculous.
AND, lastly, English is a 2nd language for nearly every "concierge team member" I spoke to. I'm not racist, but if you work all day on the phone in customer service, then you need to be understood by your client!

We booked a cruise with CruiseDirect.com two years ago - it was our first cruise and we had a wonderful time with no hitches.
We wanted to book another cruise and as I am now very hard of hearing I went on to the online chat Our chat agent was extremely helpful especially as its difficult for me to use the telephone which she didnt see as a problem at all and we are looking forward to our cruise on 6th February which I am sure will be just as enjoyable as the last.

Just booked our family spring break 2016 cruise on celebrity silhouette cruise ship with CruiseDirect.com. Shopped around for a bit but got the best deal here and a free beverage package too. So far so good.
From beginning to end this was a seamless transaction, user friendly web site and wonderful customer service. Chatted in with questions about what's included and what to expect to pay for, along with questions about ports to visit and all my questions were answered, very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! My cruise went wonderfully without any surprises!

So we booked a cruise with cruise direct this year. Once they had our money they were not interested in communicating with us much anymore. We had several problems booking into the cruise company only to find out the cruise company also had misinformation. This was not the fault of cruise direct.
But I can assure you that between the two of them persistently passing the buck neither company attempted to contact me directly I even posted on Facebook pages complaints trying to contact these companies numerous phone calls numerous live chat with promises repeated promises to contact me in 48 hours. Meantime I initiated almost all contacts. Still they pass the buck to the other company
Very very poor customer service on the part of both companies.
Don't go near Cruise Direct. They are scam artists, and Very dishonest!

I Booked a cruise with this company in Aug 2015.
When researching cruise prices I was offered the following with them;
Book now with us and get a $50.00 per person Inboard credit plus 10% off your excursions.
When you proceed to not book with them a window pops up on your screen and they offer you an additional surprise discount via email if you book with them today!
You proceed to your email to verify your additional discount they are offering, and without telling you as you book they remove your onboard credit of $100.00 and give you only a 5% discount. Therefore if you do book your losing much more than there 5% discount I was offered.
I wrote to the company, about this business dishonesty, and they never even responded to my inquiry.
Stay away from these bargain cruise sites, as they call themselves... and deal directly with the cruise lines.

It does not end with onboard entertainment. Trivia games e.g. are conducted not only in English but often in a number of tongues.
