Paid both and now have no phone. Am disgusted with both
I am telling everyone. Never go to eather on. People at both companies are rude, stupid, thief's. Never in my life would I think a phone company would steal from me! That's what they did. Now I have no phone. Put out money to both!
They make you pay in advance if you have two numbers and if you want to cancel one the first day they refuse to five you a refund and you can't even use the number that entire month does that sound fair?
They assured me I would have service. Did not have service where I lived. Would not let me return unopened car charger.
Cricket Wireless needs to get rid of all the ridiculous/unnecessary fees that they created to make money out of people (if I try to avoid saying rip off). All of the fees that they charge people are the normal things that they are supposed to help people in the first place as their customer service duties. In the old days, phone companies would have to prepare and send people the paper bills thru post mail. Now a day, we try to pay them by credit card and reduce them a lot of work and cost associated with paper bill. They should try their best to reduce the cost and make everything convenience for the customers. But NO, not only that they don't appreciate us, but they have created all kinds of ridiculous fees to charge us when we try to pay them with credit card. They charge us a fee when we call the customer service or walk in their stores to pay our bill. The only way we can avoid the fee is to sign up with Auto Pay online. What if people don't have computer or internet at home, or don't feel that it's safe to pay online? It's ridiculous to charge the the customers a fee when they try to pay their bill using a credit card on time. Cricket Wireless should create more ways for people to pay their bill WITHOUT being charged with a fee, instead of just limit it to 1 Auto Pay option. They should create an Automated system like Walmart Family Mobile, so people can call in to pay by credit card with no fee being charged. The customers should not be charged any fee at all if they pay their bill early or on time regardless how they pay it (call in or walk in). Trying to create all types of ridiculous/unnecessary fees is another way of trying to rip people off or take advantage of them.
December, 2016 I purchased (2) Cricket devises. I took my argument to cricket next day after purchasing & everyday after for help. The (2) devises didn't work in my home; never receive a phone, internet drop all day long. Voicemail was static; customer care was pathetic, barely 1 bar entire in the house. Never receive a response from the company by mail. Receive email from cricket; they never phone. Just lied to keep me waiting. Definitely, we file a further complaint. Beware of crooked cricket.
Short version: I confirmed with multiple Cricket Wireless reps that I could bring my iPhone & phone number from ST to CW. I had a brand new CW SIM card for my phone. I called and activated my service with a $60 plan with a CW rep. After a few hours it was not working. I called back & the rep told me the phone would not work with CW. A mgr told me it was my fault for not doing better research. What is better than asking reps from CW? They work there, I don't! I can only trust what they tell me. That is also why I asked more than one, just to make sure. A rep then told me I either had to have ST unlock the phone or I had to purchase a new phone from then. (CW) I did not have money to purchase a new one, I want to use my iPhone which is why I asked first & ST refused to give the code to unlock. (Can you blame them?)
I have now been without service for a week! Cricket Wireless customer care refuses to do the right thing even though I was provided incorrect information by not one but multiple CW reps! My cell is the only way I have to communicate with my mother who is ill, my job, family & my transportation. I am not asking for anything out of the way. I would not have paid the $60 for service had the CW reps not told me it would work. My mother even tried to communicate with their customer service through Twitter & all they said was to have ST unlock the phone. They then stopped responding to her. My mom really likes Cricket Wireless, has 2 lines with them and always speaks highly of them. This is the main reason I was switching. She is now extremely disappointed & so am I.
I have also been extremely nervous traveling alone without a phone, not knowing if something happens with my mom or family how someone will reach me and then there's my job! *Please excuse any typos... I can't stop crying from being so frustrated!*
The insurance is terrible. They insurance is $7 a month and says it covers physical damage, but my phone got damaged and I had to pay a $75 nonrefundable deductible.
I have been paying the insurance for over a year so I have already paid $96 in insurance. Also no one told me when I bought the insurance that I get a one year free warranty so i've been paying for the insurance for no reason. Now I'm one month outside of my one year warranty and still have the $7 a month insurance. So now that I have paid the $75 deductible I have spent $171 on a phone only worth $99.
Needless to say i'm pissed! I would give it 0 stars but that's not an option.
Purchased a phone at target, tried to activate via the instructions (you can activate by visiting our site at blah blah blah) - site kept erroring, did an online chat and they told me that I HAD to call to activate my phone - like wtf? Who does that?
As long as you don't have a problem you are great. My phones are great my coverage is great. The price is amazing! I bought a phone when they were running a special. It expired in a week. (the small print did not say anything about activation just purchase I read every little word) The site said ships in 2 days. WRONG They took a week to mail it and then when I filled out the rebate I got an email saying sorry was activated outside of the dates. The chat is obviously overseas. They don't even read the messages sent I swear. The most frustrating Customer service experience in my life. So ask long as you aren't counting on a limited rebate item you are golden. I really do love my phone, service and paying $100 for 5 lines of unlimited text, talk and 2G of data. You can't beat it. I still recommend them to others but I warn them about the customer support. I can't see any other reason why I need to deal with customer support again so it is smooth sailing from here on out.
I saw a commercial for CricketWireless during the Superbowl. I think Cricket Wireless needs to spend money on training his stuff, customer service. They are very rude and unprofessional. They will hang up on you if you request to speak to a supervisor after they put you on hold for 45 minutes. Not once, but twice. But not everything about Cricket is bad. Their prices are reasonable. Sometimes, you need a little mortgage to keep up with Verizon.
You decide for yourself. Nasty bad customer service versus expensive service. That's the tale of two phone services.
AVOID THE UNLIMITED CARDS - They say $10 Unlimited - what you get is 200 minutes and someone on the phone at Cricket Customer support rep telling you there is no such card. FRUSTRATING! - GO BOOST MOBILE or VIRGIN.
They have terrible customer service. Go with a better company like Verizon, AT&T or Sprint. I like Verizon most but Cricket is just awful. Thank you to site jabber for allowing us our right to freedom of speech so we can warn others of some of the awful businesses / sites out there and protect consumers from falling victim. Keep it up Sitejabber, you run a great site :)
I ordered a Samsung phone and got a POS CRICKET phone. When I called customer service they give me a number that asks for your cricket number which of course I do not have one so i need to "call back at a later time". When I get a real person they are some clueless person that can almost speak English. The "CRICKET POLICY says that after sending the phone, (i did not order,) back to the inspections department i may receive a refund IF APPROVED! Then I may reorder the correct phone.
Answer: That's what they do best. Lie. When I first joined I was trying to get the New Customer deal. But they did not Honor it.
Answer: The bbb is definitely no help. Lawyers are out for themselves. Post the truth on every review platform you can. They work. Im a professional reviewer for a major home improvement warehouse and they do get results. Cricket is the worst company i have ever dealt with. Expose them
