Horrible Services
November 21, 2020

This morning I called CUSTOMER CARE due to the fact that they suspended my account, when I still had 5 service days left on my account. They mentioned to me that it was due to adding 30GB of Hot Spot data last night, when I did not. I actually called they automated line and added only 15GB of Hot Spot data and paid for it over the phone and was even given a confirmation number. Still, they wanted me to pay the full amount due on my account, which was my normal plan, plus pay for the additional hotspot they added to my account without my approval. The CSR claimed she could not do anything about it, so in order to cut my service back on, I had to be placed on their Bridge Pay and forced to pay half of my bill that was supposed to be due on the 26th. If this is how they trick people into paying for their mistakes, then it's not a good company to get involved with. They could have fixed their mistake, but chose not to. They'd rather make their customers pay additional services against their wishes by suspending their customers account and giving them no other option but to pay for their plan way before their bill is even due. Terrible phone provider, no different than Metro PCS. Will be switching providers due to how they treated this situation. Very shady, and not a trustworthy company to get involved with. Plus they sell your information, which you will get tons of spam calls/texts.

Ripped off
November 20, 2020

Cricket lied to me telling me my phone was capable of using there wifi hotspot. So I agreed paid 80.00 and received my sim card not. Immediately after receiving I activated my sim only to find out wifi hot spot does not work, I called cricket and they reassured me that they would reimburse my payment. So I moved on to a at&t account knowing I will receive my money back from cricket.
5 days later I contact cricket and guess what they refused to return my money!
If they would have told me this the first time I would have stayed with cricket untill my month ran out before I proceeded to at&t.
So beware cricket will tell you anything to get your cash even straight up lies

Bad all thew way round
November 14, 2020

This is been a bad experience from the beginning of when I bought the phone until now the most recent thing I figured out is that the case they sold me does not allow you to plug in headphones because the port in the case is too small you have to have the case or I have also found out that phone will shatter even if it's a very short distance the employees are nice but they have been trained to not respond to your issue and have not been empowered to do the like set my alarm for Friday I will spend some time today pursuing another company

Dont do it
November 13, 2020

Ok. O went to cricket about a year ago in randlemen nc. I bought a Motorola phone and signed up for the 30.00 plan. It took 4 1/2 hours to get out the door. Slow incompetent employs. They were very nice. But slow. This was on a Saturday. They called me as soon as i got home and told me they found my screen protector laying on their counter. I replied that i would return tge following Saturday to puck it up. I did just that. I pulled up. Got out if my car and went to the door only to find the store empty. No note on the door. No nothing. They closed up and split. I spent 160.00 on a phone and plan. They cut my phone off this month only to find they made a mistake. It only took 2 hrs of me bring on 611 for them to do so. Their coverage is lousy here in nc. Its worthless at my boone nc cabin. Same way heading to the beaches of nc. I went yesterday and got a new boost lg phone and the 50.00 unlimited plan. The phone was free. Ill try to post a pic of the wrong screen protector they put on this cricket phone. Dont do it folks. My neighbor told me not to. I should have listened.

The prices are great but if you cannot stand terrible customer service, stay away from Cricket. It's difficult to actually get a hold of a live person and when you do, expect to talk to someone over in India with a thick accent. They have no email and no live chat option aside from maybe myexpert app, which also doesn't have the best reviews. I posted a review on their website about the Cricket Ovation about how annoyed I was with the phone and the review got deleted. It did not contain profanity or anything inappropriate. The only difference between mine and other reviews was me going beyond talking about the phone and complaining about customer service. And then they have replies to reviews that clearly don't match, like "thanks for you're 5 star review" when it's a four star review and "that's great news" when you look back at the review and think "what great news?" Good luck getting a straight answer from them except when you want to praise them for how awesome they want everyone to believe they are. Overall, I have not had a good experience with Cricket. If I can I'll probably end up rooting my phone. Seriously, if you have more money to spend on a phone, go with a higher end company. You really do get what you pay for.

HOLDING PHONE HOSTAGE
October 28, 2020

I switched my daughter & I from a more reputable company because Cricket offered significantly lower prices. I have friends & family that claimed they were good. Cricket offered a payment plan to purchase a new phone, which I did for my daughter. Within the first 2 weeks, we noticed that they had TERRIBLE coverage (calls were choppy, dropped calls, incredibly slow data). When I tried to move & take our numbers with us, they held a phone hostage since we weren't with them 6 months. I called & argued with Customer Service to let her phone go... to unlock her phone. I was told to "buy her a new phone". The phone was 2 months old, NEW phone, but Cricket has it locked. They suggested that I continue with her coverage. My daughter cannot use her new phone until January, when the 6 months are up & I have to call again to get it unlocked. I replied "And give you money for service that doesn't provide what it's supposed to?" I DO NOT RECOMMEND CRICKET WIRELESS! I'm surprised they are still in business!

Bad Refund Policy
October 22, 2020

I decided to switch to Cricket on October 15, at 12:40pm. I've used Cricket in the past and never had any problems. They were a great company, low price, and descent enough data speeds. So, I didn't think anything of returning to them now. However, this time around, the data speeds were very slow at my home. I could hardly get anything done online and it was near impossible to get my computer to connect to the WIFI hotspot. I was disappointed, so I decided to switch again. Cricket has a 7 day return policy, so I didn't think it I'd have any trouble. I brought the phone back to the same location at about 12pm today, October 22. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a day is 24 hours. I should have until October 22,12:40pm, right? Well, Cricket counts the full day I started service, even before I was actually with them. To me, that's just misleading and dishonest. I wish I had been able to switch away and return the phone before today, so there wouldn't be any question. It's sad because I went from simply a little dissatisfied with the speeds to completely against Cricket. I would have still recommended them to a friend and thought they were a great company. Now, I want nothing to do with them. That was a complete waste of nearly $100. By the way, they also have an activation fee of $25. I thought that was a little messed up. But, that's not the main issue I wanted to write this review for. I don't recommend Cricket Wireless.

We were on the phone with the representing who was trying to blame us for the glitch or rep that may have changed our plan without our permission

She kept trying to blame us
I asked her to give us a Tech she said it wasn't one available
I asked for a supervisor she said it wasn't available
I asked for a manager the date time it changed and for a copy of the phone call details to be overlooked heard by the manager

She put me back from the system where I got another rep who hung up on us after speaking and telling them the details as well

Crappy service
October 8, 2020

I switched carriers to cricket in February. As well as bought a phone, paid in full from location. I was told that if I wasn't fully satisfied with the service, I could switch carriers in no less than 6 months. The phone I bought from them stopped working 7 months after purchasing. Instead of paying deductible for another iPhone 7, I decided to upgrade. I have complained on numerous occasions that service wouldn't pick up in my home and several other locations as well as being extremely slow. Thinking it was it being the older model phone, when I upgraded I figured things would get better. They have not. So I called to have phone unlocked, I was told I had to have my current phone 6 months! Mind you when I bought my initial phone and switched over to cricket, they said 6 months service. Not that every time you get a phone your 6 months starts over. So I'm stuck in a contract that I feel I was bullied into keeping by cricket! I have to keep service with them in order to use the phone I just paid 799.00 for! This service is the worst I have ever had and I'm being forced to stay in a contract that I have had over 6 months all because I upgraded my phone! So the more you buy the longer you're stuck! I will write bad reviews and post on Facebook as well as word of mouth about the way I was done for the duration I am stuck in this contract. Everyone in my family that had cricket is now switching carriers! They won't let me switch, so as of today, 4 friends and family have switched, on the behalf of me! So instead of losing one client they have lost several, more to come!

Got ripped off by Cricket
September 26, 2020

My payment was scheduled for the 25th of the month. It was taken out 2 times. I call cricket and the person i spoke to started ticket on it and assured me i would definetly get my money back and any overdraft fee i could incur as well. Then hours later i get a call from Cricket telling me no they would not give me my money back, that they dont so refunds and all they would do was pit it toward next months bill. Now mind you i explained to them i am on a fixed SSI income and this would cause a chain event of all of my other bills now being late because once my ssi check is deposited it is automatically going to take out for the $50 i was overcharged and also a $30 overdraft fee. Their response was oh well nothing we can do we will not be giving your money back it will go on your next bill. I also explained to them that this will cause 6 of us in our household to drop our service with them and she didnt care because hey they already have my money. I advise you to think twice before going with Cricket because they will take your money and not care the harm it can cause. Especially with everything we are going theough with Covid 19. Cricket is doing nothing to help their customes during this time..

My service has been intermittent and losing calls for a week and they have been telling me it would be working by "tomorrow". I even missed a doctor calling me. I called many times and sent email to their "customer success" as they say to go with no response.

I want my iPhone unlocked and they refuse to do so, even though I did get any special deal and was a customer when I bought the phone.
This is beyond bad customer care.

BUYER BEWARE
September 3, 2020

Terrible business practices and outrages customer service. I bought a new phone through cricket and everything was going pretty smoothly until my services stopped working. I called and chatted with many reps I stopped counting after the 10th rep and they kept telling me to do different things and buy new SIM cards. All in all I spent about $100 on a combination of multiple SIM cards because apparently they were defective (each is $10 and non refundable) and I had to pay 2 months of services upfront ($30/mo) cricket is the absolute worst company to exist. A 1 Star is too generous. If I could give these people a negative star, I'd give them -5 stars for being difficult and making me spend a whole lot more money than necessary. The reps were so untrained, and had no knowledge about my problem. It's a sober reminder of how cheap companies actually suck. So please stop giving your money to such a corrupt company and let the markets eat this company to the ground

Worst customer service ever.
I've had Cricket for a family of four for four weeks now. Three of the phones have had major problems, all due to settings on Cricket's end at the time of the set-up. It took two weeks to get two of them to be able to call and text properly, and the fourth phone still cannot send photos, text to androids, or connect to most apps when not on wifi. After more than ten contacts with their customer service, there is yet to be a single individual who is speaking with a connection that does not sound like it is under water. After two escalations to the "real" technical team, neither team called me back as promised. When you call them back, they say they tried. So now it's on to the Better Business Bureau. P.S. This was after they gave a family of four three numbers that were very close, and a fourth that was supposed to be close but the SIM card for which did not match the number that was on its package and is completely different. They would not give me the option of getting four new numbers.

The absolute worst
August 29, 2020

Seriously, how is this company even still in business? Awful (or no) service if you don't live in a large city, garbage customer service, and they will continue to charge your account even if you've cancelled your service. Save yourself the headaches and spend a little more on a better carrier.
