I don't know why there are so many negative reviews. I have been with Cricket Wireless for about a year and a half now with no problems whatsoever. Coverage is good. I pay $35 per month for unlimited text and talk and 10 gig data. I wrote a review at scrapersnbots.com/reviews/cricketwireless-review/

Went to the cricket store in menomonee falls wisconsin. The sales rep (Marlo) was extremely rude and refused to explain the phones and their features. I end up purchasing a phone that I did not understand the functions. When i asked Marlo to help me transfer my contacts and photos she refused and said " if 611 cant help you I cant either AFTER 611 directed me back to the store for help! I requested a call from the district manager Michael. He never called. After a week I went back to the store and insisted Marlo have the district manager michael call me. She provided me his number, I called and explained my issue and he said he will look into my concerns and call me back. He never called back. I texted, called several times, and left messages. No return! The district manager should be held at higher standards. No wonder Marlo behaved the way she did! Her district manager does not care, and im stuck with a useless phone!

Update: They now have 5g working on the A32 5g

I bought the Cricket A32 5g from Cricket Wireless website, and even the picture on the website where I bought the phone shows the 5g symbol. My friend has the S20 5g and has 5g, so service wasn't the issue. Custimer Support tried saying it was. We went over the maps, and hey 5g is available. In the end the phone isn't on the compatibility list, and the 5g is locked on this phone and will not work on Cricket. There is no feedback area to tell Cricket about it, and when I tried to write a review it got moderated.
I posted a video with the conversation that I had with Cricket Support.

Customer non-service
April 26, 2021

I ordered a new phone online. I was charged a $25 dollar upgrade fee. UPS damaged the package and returned it to cricket without my authorization and it has been over a month and 15+ calls to customer service with no resolution. I still do not have my new device and they refuse to refund my money or upgrade charge even though I have never received or activated the device. As of 9:30am this morning (April 26,2021) I have had to file a claim in small claims court, and STILL no word or reply from cricket.

I went into the Columbus Indiana store and needed to file a claim on a lost phone I had Insurance on I needed some help. I didn't think I was getting the help I needed and went to speak with another employee the guy by the name of Robert got all mad and asked why I wanted to speak to somebody else I said I'd like to speak to the manager he claimed he was so I asked for his first and last name he said he didn't have to provide me with the information and asked me to leave the store and said he would call the cops if I didn't. I walked out and we'll be finding a new company after two and a half years with a family share plan.

Shut phone off
March 30, 2021

I've been with cricket for 3 year. Never complained until yesterday. They shut my phone off saying it was no longer compatible. I've been using that same phone for 6+ months. When i called customer service to find out what was going on, they told me they did away with 3g compatible phones! Well thanks for the headsup! When i asked what i was suppose to do, he hung up on me! I will be switching carriers after this. I won't be forced to buy a phone from a company. That was complete b. S. what they did. They refused to answer ANY questions.

Disappointed
February 4, 2021

I can't believe your company doesn't care one bit about the customers. I am currently a customer of 24months, I even upgraded and added my wife's line to my account. Today I called and advised that due to being home with COVID 19 I was unable to make my payment yesterday as scheduled... but went online today to make that payment and was told they would not remove the additional $35.00 fees. In these times where COVID is a very scary thing for me being a 50yr old guy with other health issues, I am so upset that Cricket Wireless doesn't care about their customers and refused to remove that extra fee... you are more interested in the money than the well being of your customers. As soon as I am well enough to leave and handle my business again... I WILL be getting another cell service!
Shame on you Cricket wireless... Im completely disappointed and I never want to be part of any company that doesn't care about the customers... you have proven that today.

I used my insurance I pay for each month to file a claim as my phone quit charging. I did what I was told online and when I hit the sent button I received an error to contact the 800#. I did just that and completed the transaction online and paid my $40 dollar deductible and was told the phone would be sent in 2-3 business days. Due to the MLK Holiday I message today to see if my phone had been shipped and was told the money had been taken from my account but the online transaction had to be complete to ship the phone? The transaction was complete. You took my money. The phone call ended. Either LISE the chat agent doesn't know what she is talking about or I have sat since last Thursday night thinking my phone was shipped to me. Horrible customer service and horrible insurance protection plan. This makes me think I made a mistake moving to Cricket. Why should I have to do all this when stores are wide open and have no customers in them.

So long story short
I had and iPhone 7x, it broke and I had got a replacement iPhone 11 through insurance.
Cricket takes it upon themselves to remove my insurance. Now my iPhone is cracked and they've been giving me the run around for 2 hours, and now they are closed. I still ha e no insurance on my phone.
AND STILL NO FIXED SCREEN
I DEFINITELY WILL BE SWITCHING TO ANOTHER CARRIER.
ASAP

Trickery
December 6, 2020

Whilst going into Walmart to add onto my straight talk prepaid account, I let the salesman talk me into a sprint for "much " better service and a new phone at the same price.
All sales pitch. The bill has been double the amount quoted and the actual service is spotty at best,
Trickery indeed!

Held Hostage
December 4, 2020

It doesn't get better than being held Hostage by your phone provider.
My credit card linked to autopay was valid through the end of this year.
However, Cricket didn't like that in November, so they prompted me to link a new card, which I did.
They did not charge the new card and without a word they just cancelled my service. Then they sent me a text saying that I need to make a payment and of course pay a re- connection fee OR no service.
I gave them 2 forms of payment, but utilized neither.
After being a loyal customer and paying with autopay each month, this was my reward.
Guess I'm calling another carrier.
BTW, if you cancel before your month is up; you guessed it, they keep all of your balance.
If that's how you run your business, you can kiss my fat arse.

I reviewed the Cricket Wireless web site for plan information and pricing. Upon arriving at the retail store, I was told they were not committed to the Internet packages and proved that as I proceeded to purchase a plan. I asked multiple times to confirm the monthy charge to my credit card and was assured it would be $30. Logging into the account, I discovered the actual billing was $38 per month as an insurance premium was added on - without my consent. That was changed, A few days later I went back to the store for a phone cover/protector and purchsed one specific to my phone. I had already bought one but found it bulky. I purchased the 2nd protector. Once installed, it was immediately apparent the phone would not respond to pressing the "on" buttton. I could press it 20+ times and it would not come on! I put the initial cover back on - zero issue with turning the phone on - and returned to the store for a refund. Ploicy - NO refunds for any reason. $20 for a piece of plastic that was not functional. On top of that, I commented that the clerk was not wearing her mask correctly (below her nose). Response - she claimed I was being disrespectful and asked me to leave the store. Not likely I will return to that store and if a device change is necessary, it is less likely that I will return to that store - which I assume is the retail model.
