I ordered a custom cover for my ping pong table online. Everything seemed fairly straight forward except one strange measurement requested. In addition to a total width of the table, it requested a curvature width with an image that suggested measuring length between the legs of the table.
No follow up was made following the order. Just shipment of the product. Unfortunately, the length of the cover was cut to the curvature length, making the cover 14in too short. So bummed.
I reached out to CoversandAll and received a series of responses that read like AI answers. Absolutely no effort to remedy the problem other than to tell me why I was wrong, why they are not at fault, and that they would be happy to offer me 15% off another $380 cover. None of the responses addressed the misleading image or how it would work for anyone supplying measurements online using it as a guide. I am guessing I am not the first with this issue.
This company is perfect example of good idea that fails with automated execution. Be very careful using them. Their order structure is not intuitive, is at times deceptive, and is lacking any post-order follow up to confirm dimensions. This would be OK except their products are pretty expensive. So mistakes are very costly.
I would strongly recommend using a local company that has quality controls in place and can handle their mistakes well.

The item you ordered is a rectangular table with rounded curvature on the left and right sides. We want to emphasize that in cases like this, the curvature width value is measured along the curve. The curvature width may differ from the total width of the table since it takes into account the edges' curves. Therefore, it is important to provide accurate measurements when ordering to ensure that the cover fits perfectly.
Based on the photos you provided, it appears that the table you received has sharp corners, which is not in line with the order you placed. We understand that you may have had a different perception of this issue since the curvature measure is 3/4. We would have provided measurements according to that.
Please note that the cover measurements need to be taken from the far center to the far center width for the entire table width. If you measure seam to seam corners, you will only get 94 inches. However, even if the measurements are correct according to the order, the cover was never going to fit due to the product's different design than the cover you purchased.
We acknowledge that there was a miscommunication regarding the images received on our drive and are requesting information again in a few days. We apologize for any confusion caused by this incident.

Overall, the customization is a little tedious. I probably went back and forth 4 or 5 times before settling on the custom measurements. One thing I would suggest is a consideration for the height measurement. Is the desire to have a cover that touches the floor level or is it better to raise the bottom hem a fraction of an inch to keep it off the floor? I have not pulled the drawstring yet, which might raise the hem a bit. Although tedious, "negotiation" is necessary to get the manufacturing correct. It is worth the effort to make sure the covers will work properly. I am delighted with the product and it certainly makes my deck much more attractive after replacing the old, flimsy, and "shredded" covers I had. (I will now have to stain the deck to keep up the overall upgraded appearance.)
