Motorcycle Cover
September 29, 2022

I purchased the Weather Fit Platinum Motorcycle cover and it SUCKS. They sent me the wrong size initially and when I got the correct one it worked fine for 3 months and it states it has a 10 year warranty. My motorcycle is stored outside and PER the website this cover is WATERPROOF. It lasted about 90 days then it is no longer waterproof... not even water resistant. I initially emailed them my issues 2x and got NO response so I called and spoke to Summer who tried to tell me that they are water resistant not waterproof which I told her that is NOT what the website says. This is FALSE ADVERTISING and since I have not gotten any response I am contacting the Arkansas Attorney General and filing a complaint against the company. The felt liner since it is no longer waterproof has ruined my seat which I have sent them pictures. Save you money and spend it elsewhere this company does not stand behind its product, they falsely advertise and when you contact them they do not return your calls or emails.

Hi there,

We're sorry about your experience and appreciate you sharing your feedback.

After reviewing the photos you submitted, the damage to your cover and seat is consistent with heat damage caused by direct contact with a hot surface — which is common with dark-colored motorcycles stored in direct sunlight. This type of damage is not a material or workmanship defect and is not covered under our warranty.

We apologize for any delays in communication. Our email team responds within 8 hours, and if your messages were missed, that's not acceptable on our end.

If you'd like us to take another look at your case, please email us at [email protected] and reference this review.

Ripped after my first use, and is not waterproof as they state their covers are. I've contacted the warranty department, but no response. I would not recommend!

I ordered my cover for my 2012 Mustang, so nothing weird or out of the ordinary, on July 7th, and just got it today, Sept. 3rd. So, if you're wanting something for winter, order now!

Hi there,

We're sorry about your cover, and we understand the frustration.

Boat covers require a support system underneath to prevent water and snow from pooling on the surface. Without support, the weight of accumulated snow or water will eventually cause the fabric to tear — this is true of any boat cover, regardless of brand. Our warranty covers material and workmanship defects, but does not cover damage caused by unsupported pooling, and this is outlined in our warranty terms.

We recommend using a support pole or similar system to keep the cover elevated and allow snow and rain to run off. If you'd like guidance on the right setup for your boat, please email us at [email protected] and we're happy to help.

Pontoon Covers
August 30, 2022

Don't fall for all the positive reviews. There is a good reason why you can't leave a review on their website. I believe now most that are on there are fake. Don't expect anything close to custom or semi custom fit. Very generic fit and not as good as some that advertise generic fit covers and you will pay twice the price. Two of the cheap plastic buckles broke within first week. Two others won't stay snapped. It will take 5 or 6 poles to keep water from pooling up, not (1) as shown in pic. But they only have (1) reinforced location for a pole on this 24' cover. Go figure. I contacted them about the issues but response was not helpful. Look elsewhere if you want anything close to a custom or semi custom cover.

In March 2021, I purchased one of their Shorefit covers for a boat with a supposed 12 year warranty. The cover didn't even last a year and half before it was dry rotted and ripping. The tear is at the top of the windshield. They asked for pictures of the cover installed and the tear, to which I sent them.

This was their response "The damage in the photos you provided are consistent with water damage, not a manufacturing defect. The warranty is effective from the date of the initial purchase and only one warranty claim may be submitted per original purchase. We take great pride in our covers and 99% of them withstand years of outdoor use with no issues. As such, your claim has been denied and we consider this case closed. Below we have included a link to our warranty terms for your reference.

Really? Water damage at the top of the windshield where water doesn't collect?

Don't waste your money with this company, their warranty means nothing!

Hi there,

We're sorry you're unhappy with the outcome of your warranty claim.

Our team reviewed the photos you submitted and determined that the damage was consistent with water damage rather than a manufacturing defect. Water damage can occur in areas beyond where water visibly pools — prolonged moisture exposure, humidity, and wet conditions can affect any part of a cover over time, including areas near the windshield.

Our warranty covers defects in material and workmanship, and after a thorough review, your claim did not meet that criteria. We understand that's not the answer you were hoping for.

If you have additional information or photos that you believe were not considered, please email us at [email protected] and reference this review. We're always willing to take another look.

Terrible Customer Service
August 1, 2022

Followed their cover finder by selecting my boat year, make and model and it selected the best choice for me. When the cover arrived, it doesn't fit properly, way to big width wise. Spoke to Customer Service via email and the response was "oh it's a great fit". Really? Worst cover I have ever had, and will Never recommend Cover Anything, in fact on boating forums I am an active member of, l will capitalize on any opportunity to sway people looking for a boat cover away from Cover Anything. Cannot do zero stars, so an over-generous 1 star.

DO NOT PURCHASE -

Just bought a Tahoe 500 TF. That moment is awesome.

Purchased a Maroon cover to go with it from Cover Anything July 2022. It's rained, and the color bled onto my rear platform cushion. I called to see what to do. They said it happens and recommended a product to remove the stain. Ok I'll buy it and put in the work to see if I can get the stain out. Tried product but stain is locked in. So I called and spoke to Manager of Customer Service, she said she'd look into it. In the meantime I got estimates for replacement of cushion from manufacturer. She escalated concern to parent company and this is their response. It's not our problem. Read the fine print.

This is copied from her email.

"per our terms of use agreement on our website we can not pay to have your seat replaced..."
"Our instructions also discuss checking for colorfastness prior to using the cover. Furthermore I have talked to some people in the industry and tried to get more recommendations on products to clean the seat. Past what you and I talked about Magic eraser was the only other thing that came up."

I mean so I purchase a cover, company has quality issues and they don't back up their product.
But customer should have read all the fine print that says hey if our cover ruins your boat oh well.

That's crazy. DO NOT PURCHASE.

Eric,

I'd like to clarify some points in your review. You contacted us and we immediately sent you a new cover in a different color. Futhermore, less than. 0002% of our covers ever have similar issues - typically caused by vinyl being cleaned with bleach, which removes the vinyls protective coatings and causes a reaction with any material placed on the vinyl. This could happen from a beach towel, lifejacket, or a boat cover. Marine vinyl should not be cleaned with bleach due to the damage it can cause to the vinyl itself and the reaction it can cause with materials that come into contact with the solution. We sell many thousands of boat covers and back up our products with replacement products when necessary, award-winning customer service, and the industry's longest warranties. If you have any more issues, please contact us at 888-854-5868 so we can assist you directly. Sincerely, CoverAnything.com.

No full refund
July 25, 2022

I purchased 2 motorcycle cover for different bikes. I received 3 and they were all the same size despite 1 being ordered for a much larger bike. Like an honest person I sent 2 back and rather than just swapping them out for me they made me purchase a bigger one. I now see that this is because they don't give full refunds. I got $53 back on my $70 purchase plus had to go through all of the shipping hassles. I haven't heard back from anyone about this. Horrible service!

Too Big
July 21, 2022

Ordered a Pontoon boat 1200D cover. It took 2 weeks to get, and they never sent any e-mails or ever contacted me. When i got the exact fit cover it was way too big for my boat. I called 3 times to get a refund and they sent a shipping label. I returned the cover and didn't hear anything for two weeks so i called again, and again. They said they were going to give me a refund, so i waited another week. Finally i got the refund and they refunded $204.95 out of $299.99. Don't know why they charged me $95 and never gave me a reason why they didn't give me a full refund. Do NOT buy from this company. Poor contact and they are deceiving.

Hi there,

We're sorry about your experience and the lack of communication along the way — that's not the level of service we strive for.

We'd like to clarify the refund amount. When your cover was returned, it was received in a dirty and damaged condition. Our return policy requires covers to be sent back clean and unused so that every customer receives a product in new condition. The deduction from your refund reflected the condition of the returned item.

That said, if the cover didn't fit your pontoon, that's a fit issue, and we handle fit issues with a free exchange at no charge. We wish we'd had the opportunity to work through that with you before the return.

If you'd like us to revisit your case, please email us at [email protected] and reference this review.

Warranty is Meaningless
July 11, 2022

In 2019, I purchased one of their 12 year boat covers. I recently uncovered the boat for the season and discovered the cover started tearing. It was clearly dry rotted. I submitted a claim, which was denied because of "significant water damage". What good is a 12 year warranty on a boat cover that should be designed to withstand rain and sunlight without deteriorating in less than 3 years?

Needless to say, I will not be ordering another product from this company again simply because of their bogus warranty they offer.

Date of experience: July 11, 2022
Josh S. — Cover Anything Rep

Hi there,

We're sorry about your experience and understand the frustration.

We want to clarify that the damage on your cover was caused by water pooling, not normal rain exposure. When water is allowed to sit and pool on a cover over extended periods, the sustained weight and moisture will break down any fabric — regardless of brand. This is why we recommend using a support pole or similar system to keep the cover elevated and allow water to run off. Damage caused by pooling is not a material or workmanship defect and is not covered under our warranty.

Our covers are absolutely designed to withstand rain and sunlight, but they do require proper support to prevent pooling.

If you'd like to discuss your options, please email us at [email protected] and reference this review.

Dishonest Company
June 22, 2022

Order a boat cover from them using there website to get proper fitment. Cover I received didn't come close to fitting. Too short in length and it width. Send cover back and they will only give a partial refund stating the cover was stained. It got wet once after I had to pit it back on to take pictures for them. I dried it out in my garage and shipped it back. I guess that shows the quality of the cover seeing it get wet once and they say its stained. Terrible company. Been back and forth with them over the fitment issues since April 24. It's June 22nd now.

Hi there,

We're sorry about your experience. We understand how frustrating a fit issue can be, especially when the return process adds to it.

To clarify, the partial refund reflected the condition of the cover when it was returned — it did arrive with staining. Our return policy requires covers to come back in clean, resellable condition so every customer receives a new product.

That said, we want future customers to know: if a cover doesn't fit, we handle it. Fit issues qualify for a free exchange with no restocking fee. We always encourage customers to reach out as soon as a fit problem is identified so we can resolve it quickly.

We've continued to improve our processes and response times since this review, and we appreciate the feedback that helps us do better.

Called to try and make return for cheaply made product. Was only offered a 50%refund and told to keep the products. The product is worthless and not usable for my needs, so keeping them serves no purpose. Most companies will provide a full refund but I guess coveranything won't. Also canceled another part of order I still haven't received. I will say the boat cover seems to be a quality product, but wondering if they'll actually cover the 12 year warranty if something happens. Guess we'll see. Use care when ordering from them.

I was looking around for a boat cover and came across Cover Anything after trying some of the usual internet shopping options. I wish that the Cover Anything staff managed all customer service, everywhere. They answered the phone right off, they were knowledgeable and friendly. Extremely disappointed with this company. I researched before purchase if this product could be used in a mooring situation and was advised it could(CA deny this). Outside of a drawstring there is nothing to hold this onto the boat. The website has no information regarding mooring or on water applications nor does it say anywhere these covers are unsuitable for on water applications. The website says their covers are "designed to meet the rigorous challenges of marine environments". This implies they can be used on water unless all of their customers have amphibious trailering capability. Full disclosure I am in Chicago and didn't open the box until I was going to put it on the boat at the end of May. I purchased it in March so am outside their return window. I offered to pay a restocking fee. Still no willingness on their part to compromise. Given the reputation this Company claims- I'd have expected bit more flexibility in this situation. It's not a product that will do the Job and nothing on their website says clearly that this cover is not suitable for on water applications. Very misleading can't say if that is deliberate but nonetheless not the way a quality concern would operate. Bottom line I'm stuck with a cover I cant use and they don't think their reputation is worth more than the $300(less) restocking fee

Hi there,

We're sorry about your experience and appreciate the detailed feedback.

You raise a fair point about clarity. We do offer covers suitable for mooring applications, but not all of our covers are designed for on-water use. Mooring covers are built with additional reinforcement and attachment points, and are typically at a higher price point. We understand that if this distinction wasn't clear on our website at the time of your purchase, that's on us.

We also understand the frustration with the return window. We always encourage customers to try their cover as soon as it arrives so any issues can be addressed within the 30-day return period.

Since this review, we've worked to improve how we communicate product suitability on our website so customers can make more informed decisions. Feedback like yours has been a part of that process, and we appreciate it.

Leaking Cover

Water leaking on the front right seams
When removing cover water has collected under the cover. No leaks found on the rest of the cover. Talked two times with customer support and didn't get any help with my problem. Never had the problem with other covers. Buyer beware.

Hi there,

We're sorry about the frustration, and we apologize that our support team wasn't more helpful when you called.

What you're describing — water collecting under the cover in a localized area — is most commonly caused by condensation rather than a seam leak. Temperature changes cause moisture to form underneath the cover, and it often collects in one spot, which can look like a leak. This is an industry-wide occurrence and can happen with any cover.

That said, if you believe the seam itself is defective, that would be a warranty issue and something we'd want to address. We've improved our support processes since this review and are committed to helping customers troubleshoot issues like this more effectively.

Searched multiple suppliers of vehicle covers for my antique pick up truck. Settled for Coveranthing.com and found their advertised best outdoor cover for the vehicle with 10 year Warranty. So, first if you're going to buy anything from them, you'll have to chase around their site to find what that means. It's pro-rated and within 1 year you'll loose 30% of the value. When I tried to contact them, email from their server/website and multiple calls to be placed on hold for customer service which will hang up on you in 3 minutes so you can call again. Eventually, after multiple tries, I was able to get a human by going through the phone option for purchasing. By then, I was at 65% value of a cover that supposedly was their best (outside) which shredded in less than a year. Only offer is 65% replacement value or... a new purchase of a better custom cover for over $500. The first buy was such low quality that I would not throw more money at another product of theirs. I could have spent the $ on a $200 portable garage at Harbor Freight and it would have a complete replacement in that year. I currently use one of those for my lawnmowers going on two years and in great shape. Due to the impossibility of getting either a call back or email from Coveranything.com over months, I would not recommend their products unless you're just looking for a dust cover for your antique that's already in a garage.

Hi there,

We're sorry about your experience, and we appreciate the detailed feedback.

We understand the frustration with trying to reach us — being placed on hold and disconnected is not acceptable, and we take that seriously.

Regarding the warranty, we want to clarify for anyone reading: the 65% credit offered was your prorated warranty in action, not a sales discount. Our warranty is prorated, meaning the credit toward a replacement is based on how much warranty life remains. Our warranty terms are available on our website, and we recognize they could be easier to find — that's something we've worked to improve.

We've also made changes to our communication and support processes since this review. Feedback like yours has been part of that effort, and we appreciate it.
