I ordered a specific cover for my boat and when it arrived it was way small. They sent another and still small. Refunded my card, but deducted $20 for rerun shipping because their description and covers did not fit. Be aware the covers are just questioned sizes even though they are specific to the boat and model.

Hi there,

Thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry the covers didn't fit your boat properly.

We want to be upfront about something: when a cover doesn't fit, that's a fit issue, and our policy is clear — fit issues are refunded in full. No restocking fee. No return shipping charge. The $20 return shipping fee should not have been deducted from your refund, and we apologize for that.

We'd like to make this right. Please reach out to us so we can refund that $20 and look into what went wrong with the sizing on your order. Our phone lines are staffed Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM CST, and our email team responds within 8 hours.

We appreciate you giving us a chance, and we're sorry we let you down on this one.

Sincerely,
Josh S.

Literally, put the car cover on, secured it and left the car for 6 months. Only took it off 3 times and then back on. Went out last week and there was a 12 inch rip in the seam. Warranty is a RIPOFF. They offered me a discount on a new one. Why would I want to BUY another of the same one that proved to be a piece of crap? DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Buy from a company that stands by their product 100%

Hi Tracey,

We're sorry for the frustration. A seam rip at 6 months is covered under our warranty, and we did honor it — the discount you were offered was your prorated warranty credit, not a generic promotion. We understand why it didn't come across that way, and that's on us.

Please contact us. We'll make sure your claim is handled properly and transparently.

The warranty is a joke
September 22, 2024

3 months on my boat and it's torn and extremely faded. The color bled through and stained my carpet as well. The company refuses to warranty their product. Do not give them your money!

Hi Jb,

We're sorry for the frustration, and we want to be straightforward — your warranty claim should have been honored, and we take responsibility for that error.

We'd like to correct this by applying your prorated warranty toward a replacement. Please contact us at [email protected] and mention this review so our team can prioritize your case.

The 10 year warranty means nothing
September 12, 2024

I purchased 4 Platinum covers for my ATVs and in 1 year they were rags, these covers were advertised as a 10-year limited warranty, all I was offered 65% off of the current price.

Hi there,

We're sorry about your experience. Four covers failing within a year is VERY unusual and something we take seriously.

We want to clarify that the 65% off was your prorated warranty credit, not a standard discount. Our warranty is prorated based on the age of the cover. We understand that distinction wasn't clear, and we apologize for the confusion.

We'd like to look into your case more closely. Please contact us so our team can investigate and ensure your warranty is properly honored.

No Real Warranty- Poor Material
August 7, 2024

I purchased suppose to be Platinum Car Cover which has a 10 year warranty in May 2023. One year later the fabric disentigrated to the point if you touch it, the material falls apart in your hands. After filling out a warranty claim they are offering me a discount on purchasing a new one. I had to ask them why on earth would i pay for another one of your company garbage when you are advertising 10 year warranty when in reality it only last one year and then i have to pay out of pocket for another one. I will take the loss and buy from another company. Word of advise to all. Thier product does not stand up to their claim.

Hi there,

We're sorry about your experience. A Platinum cover breaking down after one year is not normal, and we understand your frustration.

We want to clarify that the discount you were offered was your prorated warranty credit — not a sales promotion. Our 10-year warranty is prorated, so the credit applied toward a replacement is based on how much warranty life remains. At one year, that credit should be substantial. We apologize that this wasn't explained clearly.

Given how quickly the cover deteriorated, we'd like to look into your case further. Please contact us at [email protected] and reference this review so we can review your claim and make sure it's handled properly.

I am a long time customer and have bought countless covers. I had a warranty issue, the wholes are way too big and the grommets are sliding right through. Never like this in the several others I had purchased. Coveranything has refused to replace with a proper one and make things right, even though I am a long time customer. Horrible customer service. Wellcraft Boat Cover
January 20, 2024

Boat Cover did not fit below bump Rails (ie. Gunnies), covering just the top portion of the boat. Cover Plastic Vinyl Composite was very Thin, Almost the cheapest material I've ever seen. They charged us a Restock fee, as we returned it in the same packaging as we received, after only fitting it to the boat for 15m.s. Also had to repay customs at the Canadian border. Bought another cover from Washington St. W/Support pole free. Much Higher Quality and Great Fit. This a Cheap Chinese Massed Produced Product. Not Impressed. Don't be fooled by the cheap Cost or the Return Guarantee. Don't waste your money

Hi Scott,

We're sorry to hear about your experience.

We want to be transparent about the restocking fee. The cover was returned with dirt and oil on it, which meant we couldn't resell it as a new product. That's why the fee was applied. Our return policy requires items to come back in clean, unused condition.

That said, if the cover genuinely didn't fit your boat, we want you to know that fit issues are handled differently — we exchange for the correct size at no charge, no restocking fee. We wish we'd had the chance to work through that with you before the return.

We understand the added frustration of customs fees on Canadian orders, and we're sorry for that inconvenience.

If you'd like us to take another look at your case, please email [email protected] and reference this review.

Well, my semi custom cover arrived for my 2008 Tracker V16!
Was impressed by the weight of the fabric, color, and quality. However, it's very big!
I would say approximately 4 foot to long in length and 2 foot in width. That being said, it covers the boat well, but looks nothing like the advertisement photo!
I hope that it will trailer well, in spite of all the extra material.
We'll see...

Inadequate coverage
September 13, 2023

Purchased a cover for a 2018 camaro 1lt convertible. Ordered in May. Did not open packaged cover until Sept.
After installing we were not pleased to see that the cover did not extend down far enough to cover bottom sides nor cover the from nose of car and the back of car. No mirror pockets for a nice snug fit. Truly unsatisfied and very disappointed. Notified customer service and received a reply after the second attempt
Was not pleased with response. Was told we received what we ordered. Said that we ordered a semi-custom Weatherfit platinum cover, for the make and model.
You were sent the semi-custom, WeatherFit Platinum cover, in the correct size for your year, make and model, and it fits as it should. These covers are made to cover about halfway down the tires. Some newer vehicles do have bumpers that are closer to the ground than what our covers are designed to accommodate for. Going up to the next size would provide a significantly larger cover that would probably billow in the wind. Unfortunately, since you are so far outside of your return window we cannot accept a return or exchange for this item. For your reference, I have provided a link to our returns policy below.
Your order is from May of this year, our site very clearly states our return policy is 30 days. I am sorry that you are unhappy with our product, had you contacted us in June we would have been more than happy to assist you.

If this is a warranty issue that is different, please confirm if this is a warranty issue or a fit issue.

Thank you

Summer

One would think that at the cost paid which was a good value. Not disputing cost. The fitting is inadequate. Expected a car cover to cover entire vehicle, not a cover that covers half way down wheels.

Hi Robert,

We're sorry you're disappointed with your cover, and we appreciate you sharing your feedback.

We'd like to provide some clarification. Our semi-custom WeatherFit Platinum covers are designed to fit approximately halfway down the wheels, which is shown in the product photos and described in the product details on our website. This cover was shipped in the correct size for your 2018 Camaro. Mirror pockets are also not a feature of this cover, and that is reflected on the product page.

Regarding the return — we completely understand the frustration, but the order was placed in May and we weren't contacted until September, well outside our 30-day return window. We always encourage customers to try their cover on as soon as it arrives so we can address any concerns while the return or exchange window is still open.

If you're experiencing a warranty issue such as tearing or material defects, that's a separate matter and we're happy to help. Please email us at [email protected] and let us know.

Failure to warranty
July 13, 2023

I purchased a boat cover June of 2020 because it had a 12 years warranty. 3 years later the cover starts falling apart. I write to them send pictures and their response is purchase a new one at 45% off and then and only then do they produce the term and conditions of the actual warranty. Never was it included with my purchase. The warranty states they warranty material and workmanship and both have failed. There is no way I will spend over $100.00 to get satisfaction. Horrible company!

Date of experience: July 13, 2023
Josh S. — Cover Anything Rep

Hi there,

We're sorry for the frustration, and we understand why this experience was disappointing.

We want to clarify that your warranty was honored. The 45% off you were offered was your prorated warranty credit, not a sales discount. Our warranty is prorated, meaning the credit toward a replacement increases based on how much warranty life remains. At 3 years into a 12-year warranty, that credit is substantial.

Our warranty terms are posted on our website and included with every order. We apologize if that wasn't clear at the time of purchase.

If you'd like us to walk you through how the prorated credit applies to your replacement, please email us at [email protected] and reference this review. We're happy to help.

Don't Buy From This Company
March 11, 2023

Purchased a car cover from Cover Anything within a couple of months the cover started deteriorating, made a warranty claim with photos of the effected areas of the cover.
Cover Anything rejected my claim, they said the reason for rejection was that the cover had been exposed to excessive heat. I am located on the California Central Coast on the ocean it rarely gets to 70 here, definitely not excessive heat.
Their warranty is worth nothing, don't buy from this company.

Hi there,

We're sorry you're unhappy with your experience, and we appreciate the feedback.

We want to clarify that when we referenced heat damage, we were not referring to the climate in your area. The photos submitted with your warranty claim show damage consistent with direct contact heat — such as proximity to a hot exhaust or tailpipe — rather than sun or weather exposure. This type of damage is not a material or workmanship defect, which is what our warranty covers.

We understand that's not the answer you were hoping for, and we're sorry. If you'd like us to take another look at your claim or discuss options, please email us at [email protected] and reference this review.

On December 22 I ordered the Platinum cover for my Durango along with the optional gust guard. Total cost: $179. Both items arrived in the same box in a timely manner. In the meantime, it turns out I jumped the gun as my wife had already fixed me up with a Mopar-branded cover - a happy discovery made on December 24.

After contacting CA for an RA and UPS label, the cover and gust guard (unpackaged and in perfect condition) were shipped back in the original box on January 23. UPS tracking had the package delivered four days later, on January 27. Yet by February 9 there was still no credit posted to our Visa account.

So, that day I contacted CA via their website portal (the envelope icon, top right). Providing the requisite details, I inquired as to when we might expect to see a refund. I was thinking the "Rapid Response Team" would be on this pronto because, well, the Jaw Dropping service thing. But, not so much.

Twelve days later, on February 21, I called CA. After a short hold, I spoke with Beth explaining the details as noted in this post. Evidently she was able to confirm that the return had been received. She assured me that a full refund - net of shipping cost - would be processed within 24-48 hours. But no explanation was offered as to why the credit was delayed nearly four weeks (and no explanation as to the "RRT's" lack of interest in my February 9 inquiry).

True to her word, a credit of $89 was posted to our Visa account on February 22. It's notable that the refund amount was slightly less than half the original cost of $179. Recall, both items were in perfect condition. They had not been removed from their original packaging. And they were sent back in the original box. OK, I get it - we live in Anchorage. Shipping costs more. But, I can't imagine it cost $90 bucks to get it here in the first place.

So, the key takeaways are these: 1. This is a good product (I've purchased a couple of the Platinum covers in the past); 2. If you decide to purchase a CA product, be absolutely certain you will not need to rely on the "Jaw Dropping" service or the "Rapid Response Team", and; (3) If you must return a CA product, expect a healthy discount taken for "shipping".

Other than that, I've enjoyed another wonderful experience shopping online outside the relatively safe environs of Amazon and maybe a few others. Caveat emptor! ;)

Brian H: Thank you for your email. We do apologize for the delayed refund -- this is not the normal turnaround time for refunds. The deduction from your refund amount was return shipping (from Anchorage) as well as a restock fee due to returning the product for a reason other than fit (you just didn't need it). The restocking fee is charged so our team can open, inspect, and repackage the item to ensure that future customers only receive top-quality merchandise when they order from our site. I hope this clears up any confusion. Sincerely, CoverAnything.

BEWARE BEWARE - CHEAP DYE
February 2, 2023

BEWARE of this company. There is a reason "everything" is on sale.
Fit is terrible and company takes no responsibility for their product. After a few days in the rain, supported the exact same way my older cover was supported the misery started. My boat was not only filled with water but the dyes from the Chinese made fabrics ruined my upholstery, stained the fiberglass on the boat, and I even had dye drips on my buoy! They admitted it happens to older boats but continually put the blame on me. They even tried to blame to the pink staining to "pinking" which is a bacterial based stain but this was not that. AVOID this company at all costs.

We have been in constant communication with this customer, and the review posted is very misleading. The customer provided us more photos than were included in his review, showing the cover was installed over a previous cover leading too excessive heat buildup. There were no support poles used to support the cover, hence why water was standing in the cover itself -- a cover has to be supported so water can run off of the cover and not weigh it down. On older boats especially, there is a phenomenon studied by marine manufacturers called "pinking" caused by bacteria/microbes that is most evident in a warm and moist environment. There are products on the market that will eliminate the pinking and/or the boat can be left in the bright sun and UV from the sun will bleach out the pink bacterial staining. If the staining came from the cover, (1) you would see significant evidence of color loss in the fabric and (2) there would be other complaints of staining from maroon covers bought by other customers.

We refunded the customer in full and have communicated all of the above to him. Even going as far to offer USA-made Sunbrella cover to him at well below our cost as goodwill gesture. We don't ever want a customer to feel like we are leaving them without any solutions. This is why we have more than 200,000 reviews of 4.9 out of 5 or higher on all third party review sites on the internet -- we stand behind our products and support or customers. We are happy to speak to anyone regarding the pinking issue and provide knowledge and solutions on how to prevent it whether you purchase one of our covers or are experiencing pinking due to other factors. We can point you in the right direction to find products that will prevent and/or remove any stains on your boat's vinyl since we work closely with many of the major marine manufacturers.

The great reviews convinced me to pay more for this product. They promised fast shipping, but it took over 30 days to arrive with no shipping updates from them. The cover itself looks and feels fine but not better than less expensive covers I have bought from competitors in the past, and it is too small for my car, a very common Honda Accord. When I attempted to return the cover, I was told it was past their 30 day cutoff and they could not help me. When I then asked for instructions on how to write a review, they never responded. This may explain why their reviews are so good, while their BBB rating is so much lower. I recommend that you take your business elsewhere.

Hi there,

We're sorry about your experience, and we appreciate the feedback.

A 30-day shipping delay is not normal for us, and we apologize that something went wrong with your order's fulfillment. Had the shipping delay consumed your return window and you'd reached out at that time, we absolutely would have made an exception. Unfortunately, your return request came well after the 30-day window following delivery.

Regarding the fit — the cover you received was the correct size for your Honda Accord based on our fitment data. Our semi-custom covers are designed to fit snugly and may look different than oversized universal covers. If you believe the cover genuinely doesn't fit your vehicle, that's a fit issue and we handle those with a free exchange, no restocking fee.

As for our reviews — we have hundreds of thousands of customers, and we're proud that the vast majority have positive experiences. We take every piece of feedback seriously, including yours.

If you'd like to discuss your options, please email us at [email protected] and reference this review.
