Stay in touch with your LO quickly, NO it takes over a week or more for emails to get put through. They say its the institution which may be true but if your advertising something you better be on their case to do their jobs. Its not because they have to read each one. I hear CO's talk. They just dont care and let them sit. Its not worth buying the tablet.

This company provides horrible service and their customer service is even worse. They are profiting off of the incarcerated and their families so the least they can do is be helpful when you reach out for customer service. I have called spent an hour on phone and then emailed three times. NOTHING has ever been resolved.

First time calling as I had changed phone no, took5 min to transfer money I had on old number to the new acct phone no. Be sure you all are using real GTL not VAC or fake copan

I added $20 (they charged me a $3 fee for this so actually I had $17 on the phone) to a google voice number in August of 2018 because I heard it would be cheaper by the minute versus my regular cell phone. Well... I ended up not using the google voice number at all, so last week, I decided I would transfer the $17 to my regular cell phone. I called Connect Network and they told me I had to call the VAC number... whatever the f**k that is, and not them... they are GTL... still no clue what they are talking about... so I called the VAC number and they told me they couldn't find my phone numbers and to call the GTL number! Really?! I called GTL... again... and guess what... they said they couldn't help me that I had to call VAC. Long story short... because I didn't remember what credit card I used over a year ago (they would even give me a hint... like the last 4 numbers of my card) they would not transfer the $17. I needed to give them the first 2 digits and then the last 4 digits in order for them to help me. I've cut up all my cards since last year and I only have one now... and that wasn't the right one... so guess what... to bad for me... they get to keep my $17 unless I can figure out what card I used. UNBELIEVABLE! Horrible customer service to by the way... very unprofessional. How this company is still in business is beyond me.

The website is extremely slow. It limits my time to write a message. Then when I want extended time, it is slower yet.
I'm not able to save a copy of message. When I try to send my message, it is lost.

This is the worst website I have ever used.

Deserves zero stars

This company is terrible. They steal your money and are extremely rude on the phone. I tried to add money to another family members Trust Fund but the app is not user friendly so it was mistakenly added to Advanced Pay Phone. When I called to see if the money I already deposited could be refunded or at least transferred to my family members trust fund costumer service was extremely rude and apparently couldn't do anything. I don't understand how they are able to accept my money but are unable to move it or give it back. THEY ARE CROOKS and DO NOT CARE. DON'T DEAL WITH THEM!

Absolutely terrible money hungry phone service that tries to disguise it self as "caring about connecting you to your loved one" they charge you extra fees anyway they can and if a call gets dropped guess what? They still take the money as if you talked the whole time. I personally think we should all team up and do a class action lawsuit because they're crooks plain and simple. And don't even think about calling customer service because you'll have to wait at least 30-45mins on hold to talk to an idiot

Deserves ZERO stars. To send ONE email with letters and numbers and SOME punctuation ONLY... no pics, no links, no emojis, not even a colon parenthese smilie :) it just does NOT show up at all... one email with 2000 total characters (spaces incl), costs me $0.25 and the inmate pays in linkunits (asinine system) that can cost them anywhere from $0.25-$1.00 depending on how much they buy. Why not make all the units the same? I AM THE ONE BUYING THEM ANYWAY! The system times out constantly. It loses your work even though it claims it saves it to draft. And if it fails on the inmates tablet, they just lose the data and they have no way to draft it elsewhere so that's not frustrating at all. For awhile this summer, if either of you used more than like 1500 characters it would just fail and not tell you why, for 3 weeks it did this... that was real fun to figure out. THEN if it does make it through... it takes anywhere between an hour and 7 DAYS! To get to the other person, and if you send more than one, they come in random order with maybe a day or 2 in between! Seriously this system is the BIGGEST POS I have ever seen and I have been in IT for 25 years. This makes Windows 3.1 look good. Filing out this review was a DREAM compared to

I know its prison, but why do you need to punish the friend or family? I didn't do anything wrong, let me talk to my friend without wanting to punch my computer.

I can't believe that the government contracts with such an inept system to "provide" phone services to inmates. For the amount of money that they must be making off this, it should work well. Instead, the don't really seem to care, but certainly make it easy to take your money... good luck being able to use it. Hopefully enough negative reviews will create some kind of change.

I recently updated the app on my device. In the past, I was able to text message inmates using this service. Now, I am asked to give them permission to access my devices memory and to turn on and record using my devices camera. If that doesn't sound like a scumbag maneuver, I don't know what is. The people running this service are svummier than most of the inmates, as far as I'm concerned.

Be careful with connect network this company like to take extra money of your bank account i pay $ 5.00 to get link so i could talk to mt son and when i check my account they took out not $5.00 they took $25.00 i call customer services at connect network explained i ask why they took that money out of my account at different time and to refund they money back to my account she she need to talk to her supervisor and them she said they cannot refund my money because it was different time same they i told the lady yes by connect network not me and she hang up the phone please do not use your bebbit card they will take your money out i'am going to change my bebbit card num they should be in jail

Excuses and lies

This ordeal started in December a couple of days before Christmas! Our bank card was comprised when we attempted to place a deposit into my grandson's account. Then this shady company charged my daughter's account three times with only a transaction once approved. Grandson didn't received any of the money and they claimed that one transaction was showing on their end. We purchased a debit card just to use and they have stolen over $60.00 and will not allow phone calls to go through once we apply the card information. This company is taking advantage of innocent people who are trying to stay in connect with their loves ones.

Unreliable

I put money on the account so that my husband can call but the calls still wouldn't come through. Then we I requested a refund they told me 5-7 business days. When I didn't get it they told me 5-7 business day again. When I called back the next time same thing. I always end up talking to the same man. Is this company even real?

Absolutely Useless!

So, it took me weeks upon weeks to create an online account because the site was always down or just messed up. I was told to ask for an International account because I live in Europe, which I thought, fair enough, so I applied for one. That then got approved but trying to top up the account is an absolute farce! I emailed for advice because if you have an international account, you can ONLY EMAIL customer service which in itself is suspect in my opinion. You cannot use a European based credit card to top up funds, which again in my opinion is suspect also. I purchase quite a few goods when I am online shopping from international countries WHO ACCEPT European credit cards, so why can't GTL accept them? I find it all a bit strange. All I want is to talk to my loved one who is incarcerated. That is all I want to do but I am getting nowhere with this sham of a company.

I put 50.00 worth of stamps on my account on the 31st. Now it's saying I have zero credits. I didn't use 200 stamps that fast. I have 3 inmates who I'm close to. My kids dad, my best friend and my boyfriend. So i do write them. Often. I know I had over 50 left when I sent my last message. Now I have zero. I don't want to put more money on the account for them.to just take it and not be able to use the services im paying for.

Quite simply put they RIPPED ME OFF! They have the rudest people working their customer service. I added 100 in funds to a trust fund account and 48 to a phone account. I called to ask how do I let the inmate know that the funds are there. The very rude person would not let me finish a thought and just kept repeating that I needed to add a pass code to use the phone. I just learned that there is another company that handles an inmate's phone and store funds. I will be using them from now on.

I was instructed to set up separate acct for a different caller. Did so. Acct shows my name info etc. I a logged into acct. Ask for return of funds since never used and cannot be used. Told only owner of phone can request funds. Hours later fund mysteriously $0 as unclaimed? Called gave run around by rude people ( no surprise). Wrote letter and told must call to resolve. Called and Drew who is a con artist kept me on phone almost one hour to dispute $6.23. UNREAL. ASKED A MILLION QUESTIONS STILL NEVER GAVE ME BACK MY MONEY. FILING CLAIM IN COURT AND NOW THEY CAN SPEND HUNDREDS TO STEAL $6.23. Government must start looking at these reviews. They are the only act in town and this MUST end or they will continue to take advantage of people needing to connect with their loved one and there is no other way other than these thieves.
