The absolute worse I've ever dealt with, customers don't seem to matter, I've never got one response to any issues, never even got a reply of what steps will be taken to fix these issues and there are a lot
It took hours to navigate their website to try to put monies so I could text a family member. I did it by phone, but the money never was credited. I was about to do it finally through the website. I send to emails and had no indication they went through. Before I had any money in the account my family member knew I had opened an account because they sent a message. If my website ran like this I web be out of business. I only sent $20 so the loss is not as bad as I read in the other reviews. I will be contacting my credit card for a refund.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! And it shouldn't take 24hrs to get a password reset from this so-called 'company' They are only here to take your money and they don't care about doing a good job because when the jails utilize them, the inmates and families are at their mercy which allows them to be crappy without consequence. Do NOT be fooled by the star I was forced to give in order to submit this review, I will definitely be reporting them to the BBB.
Customer service guy was super rude. And the advance pay isn't letting me use any of my cards this company sucks
Open an account in mid December, along with a deposit. Unable to send message- email GTL, no reply. Try this 3 times, still no replies. Three months later a call stating that nothing can be done to close account and refund money! The firm is taking advantage of an emotional issue with actions which appear fraudulent & scam like.
You never can get a hold of someone to help. Phone hangs up when trying to put money in.Im so sick this app Idk what to do.The lady came on phone 30 min after I waited to speak to someone. They still was no help.
Gentlemen made me feel like I was crazy. That I didnt know what I was talking about. And the issue was not resolved. Beyond frustrating! I hope I never have to call there again!
First your loved one is locked away and everything costs, from gas to visit to phone calls, to food and there are extra fees for all of this stuff so its like you're being taxed twice (and did I mention that nothing is cheap.) I try to set up a phone account, the recording says u can deposit up to $50 in $1 increments. Well try entering $1 the system will pretend there is a glitch and say the amount is insufficient. Try entering $10. Insufficient, but the minute you enter $20 it works just fine! You go on the website to get passed this glitch and it tells you that in order to add an inmate, u must add a facility! Makes sense, only after you add the facility there is no option to add an inmate, but try setting up an auto payment to this ghost account and that works just fine... As long as its for $20 or more! I ordered a tablet that never was delivered and they treated my husband like a "Criminal" when he had to write in to inquire about it because me, the purchaser of course could not inquire, but they basically told him that it showed delivered and if he didnt get it, it's not their problem, yet he has no tablet!?!?!? Ordered video visit that was never approved on his end and he was even told by guards that its a scam and usually only for certain ppl, was I refunded? NO! The lady said, it will be held as credit for the next video visit (minus any holding fees, meaning they will tax the $10 just since they have to hold it for the inmate) but remind you it's not an option, so Im sure that amount was exhausted in fees within a month or 2. The only thing that works smoothly is sending large amounts of money in, but you will get nothing back! They treat the inmates like they are nothing even tho there is a percentage of them that did nothing and there's some that are in there for long periods of time when a slap on the wrist would of been sufficient. They treat em all like murderous, child abusers who shoot at nursery schools and churches, when in actuality an individual that does that... gets shorter sentences because they are usually not brown. Calls are. 05 cent per call, we get 15 minutes =. 75 cent, yet the call actually costs 1.20 (nearly the same amount in taxes) they charge us hefty taxes and there is no relief. Send your loved one $100 they might get $60 and that my friend is a scam! They are sold vending machine items for 4 star restaurant prices, they have industrial jobs that the average Joe gets paid $20-$30 to do, yet they work for $2-$3 per hour! And they get treated like animals rather they are terrible people or not because society has created this image of a "Criminal" so that no one has sympathy because "they shouldn't have done it" but its not about reform or people being upset about crimes committed. Its an industry of slavery, tax cuts, contracts and isolation so that no one knows or cares about what is going on. Its sickening! This makes me want to give up, not the time but the system he is caught up in!
Excuse my language but this place is a pain in my f $#*!. I put money on my kids dad account for his birthday and it didn't go to him. It went to another inmate without my consent. Called customer service and they did nothing. They told me to look at it as "a gift". And that they can not transfer the funds. Like wth. I'm so upset. It's just not right to cheat people out of money. It's horrible.
THIS SYTEM SUCKS! CAPITALIZED LETTERS SO THEY KNOW I AM HOLLERING. I DOWNLOADED THE MOBILE APP BECAUSE WHEN USING THE WEBSITE IT TIMES YOU OUT SO FAST WHEN TYPING AN EMAIL AND THE EMAIL IS LOST. MY MAIN COMPLAINT IS YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! THEY DO NOT HAVE A DAMN CLUE AND THEIR ARE UNCONNECTED TO ANY POLICY OR PROTOCOL1 ALSO EVERY TIME THE SYSTEM UPDATES IT LOSES YOU INFORMATION AND YOU HAVE TO START OVER AND UPDATE WITH A NEW EMAIL ACCOUNT BECAUSE CUSTOMER SERVICE DO NOT GIVE YOU ANY INFORMATION ONCE YOU CONFIRMED YOUR IDENTITY AND EMAIL ADDRESS THEY GO BLANK NO ASSISTANCE SO IT IS NO NEED TO SAY"CONTACT US" BECAUSE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OUT OF CONTACT. ALSO I LOST CREDITS AND SEVERAL TIMES FROM MAKING NEW ACCOUNTS AND I AM RUNNING OUT OF EMAIL ADDRESSES LET ALONE I WANT MY ORIGINAL ACCOUNT WITH ALL MY EMAILS! DON'T GET THIS BECAUSE UNFORTUNATELY IT WILL FRUSTRATE THE HECK OUT OF YOU OPPOSED TO HAVING A CONNECTION WITH YOUR LOVES ONES AND IT TAKES ENTIRELY TOOOOOOO DAMN LONG TO RECEIVE EMAILS!
Why is this site still the only option for harris county. Its slow flakey and never once has the site made it easy to make deposits. Provides promises to help but wont load $#*!. Its a trash site and app and i think the ppl behind the gtl network should do thier job and make tbe lives of already stressed out family as easy as they claim they are. Lies and stress stress stress every time im on gtl. Ill run a online protest about ur company and make sure to exploit your app and the poor service it provides in every way possible. Ill go to the news if its not a concern of your company then get ur $#*! together.
This is by far the worst company I've ever had to deal with. The first payment I made to a trust account... nothing happened. So I resubmitted it and it charged my credit card... twice. It will decline my credit card two or three times then finally accept it. I called customer service and while she was pleasant she offered NO help and had NO answers for me. When I put money on a trust fund via automated system it wouldn't recognize the amount I was typing in and disconnected my call, twice. It finally worked the third time. And, when sending a message TYPE FAST! It will log you out and will NEVER save your message as a draft! Easier to type everything "copy" it log back in then "paste" it. Honestly, it's all a scam. Feels like a punishment to the loved ones of someone that's incarcerated.
I live in New Zealand and can't get connected at all and they are not answering my emails Just have to continue to use snail mail.
I don't think this service should get one star but I see you gotta push something they cheating with the Stars just like they are cheating people out of there darn money I'm contacting the bbb and the attorney general I been cheated out of about 300 dallors in the past 3 months and everyone answers the phone you can't understand not one word that they are saying this company needs to be shut the hell down asap
Trying to deposit money to an inmates Trust Fund. Long story short customer service has no idea what's going on. Different answer each time I call with a problem. So frustrating! Guess after reading other complaints I'm should be happy it won't accept my credit card for deposits. The question is, how do I get money to an inmate!
ConnectNetwork cheated me out of 30$ I deposited through their insanely complex system so that my friend could speak to his children during Christmas. Hope someone enjoys this immorally taken money.
They are out to steal money from inmate's families! Customer service is horrible! Calls are interrupted consistently. Won't answer emails, won't refund money

I've had an "advance phone" acct for more than 2 years so that my relative in federal prison can call me. I tried to deposit $50 into my account to add to a balance of $18. Entered my credit card info and pressed "Continue" but nothing happened. (This is not uncommon.) Then, when I called to find out if the deposit went through, the agent claimed I had a zero balance and had never made any deposits in the past (none of which is true). Finally, a supervisor explained that ConnectNetwork is just a "hub" serving several different companies. He told me that the company that actually handles phone accounts for federal prisoners is Value Added Communications (VAC) and he gave me their phone numbers: *******521 (customer service) and *******097 (for automated payments). Long story short is that I finally deposited the $50 to my account via the VAC auto-payment phone number. I will go through VAC from now on and I will never deal with ConnectNetwork's crappy website again.
These bastards will literally just take all your money. Apparently at a certain time, they say your money is "expired" and take it all. They've done it to me twice now. So if you have to use their $#*!s, just keep a small amount in at any time. That is saying nothing of their 12% fee on every deposit and their crazy prices. These guys need to burn in hell.
Answer: Hi Misty. Same here. Just not as much money lost. I couldn't get anywhere with so called customer service. They couldn't tell me where money went. I filed dispute with my bank. This company is sketchy imo.
Answer: My messages are missing, I have continually complained about this and still nothing. I have paid for entirely too many messages for him to receive none!
