Connection GTL phone's are ridiculous I have called several times to their customer service and they don't seem to care. I hit 0 nothing happens the automated service keeps going. Customer service tells me its my phone, then it was my phone provider. This is so ridiculous all I want is to talk to my loved one. I have gone rounds and rounds with them and nothing is seemingly getting done. Then if the calls do go through then I have to hear Karen telling me the phone calls are being recorded, well thank you Captain Obvious. Then to be cut short because you only get 30 minutes that they interrupt every 5 minutes with a recorded message. Its all a sham and there is no other providers, which is sad we should have a choice.

These companies Gtl and connect network just rips us off to the point where we can barely afford to talk too love ones who are incarcerated. One of the most corrupt companies that make astronomical profits. Most families who have family members incarcerated comes from poverty stricken homes that don't have the money to pay $7.00 per call. They need to shoot every single board member In the head. Watch it burn.

This business could care less that they are suppose bridge the gap with our families. My kid answered and put a block on the phone, I was told to allow 3-5 days for a resolution & each time customer service tells me to follow up & they need another day. I called 8 times on a block that was supposed to be lifted that I opened on 2/18/21, the ticket was never resolved & it was closed & the block remained. I spoke to jerry that ensured the block was lifted, still the block is on. Spoke to a supervisor named Austin on saturday 3/5 who advised the origal ticket for the block on 2/18 was never resolved, just closed & here I am requesting another block lift on 3/5 and guess what, they want another 3-5 days to restart the process AGAIN> They don't follow up with you, just tell you to call back time and time again. At this point, im escalating this because I feel that since these are inmates and persons in jail, theyre like "who cares". This is a business and were spending our money with them and they dont care to retain their customers or keep us satisfied after we spend our money here? This isn't right. I am writing the BBB and going to make a complaint to their board of directors to bring awareness to their lack of care and lack of providing solutions to their customer complaints.Do not spend your money with them if you can avoid it

FUNDS EXPIRE! BEWARE. THEFT. EXTORTION. SCAM.

Had funds in phone account. Recieved a call and they told me I didn't have any funds in the account. What they do should be illegal and it probably is. Scam. Crooks. They should be in prison.

I called customer service six times to troubleshoot problems with my account, and still did not get the problem resolved. Each representative that I talked to did things differently, and I felt like they are not getting the training needed to assist with issues. It has by far been the worst experience with customer service and management that I had. Because of this I cannot connect with the person by phone that I need to. I was never sent a confirmation e-mail receipt after establishing the account.

Great prices

Prices are very reasonable for inmates to call you oh for you to take incoming calls $1.19 for 20 minutes that's a great deal!

Yes, you can get them to take your money easily, but don't even try to get a refund... total BS. Sadly, inmates are considered cockroaches, so the whole system operates similarly. Good luck with them, I sure haven't had it.

FRAUDS!

They took 75 from me and I called MANY times and all they said is that it wasn't them it was my bank, that I had to wait 24 hours. NOPE! I filed a dispute against them and my bank gave me the 75 back and took it from them and they put my account to NEGATIVE 75 and locked it! And said the only way I can be able to use my account again is to pay the 75! And I would only be able to do cash now. THEY ARE FRAUDS!

It is unfair that emails are limited to 1500 characters. It's also ridiculous that it costs 25cents per message. We should be able to send links, pictures, websites, and other important information to our loved ones. Everyone knows that the secret to rehabilitation is a good support system on the outside. Prison is enough punishment. The people we love on the inside need the connection to the outside, and there is NO reason they shouldn't be able to receive photos. It is NOT a security risk. I hope GTL gets sued again for its unconscionable treatment of both the citizens on the inside and of their friends and family on the outside.

Bad app

I don't understand this at all tbh. I've had calls from inmates and I never had to pay... If you do t know where your loved one is there's no way to get ahold of them. If you wait for their call they only give you 20 seconds to find your card... reading the reviews they take money from people. I wish there was any other way to talk to my loved one but we're stuck with this money hungry business taking advantage of people in pain. Truly fits well for the entire vibe of "correctional" facilities. Now my loved one thinks I'm just ignoring them when it's really because the website is sketchy and because it's badly made.

Waited for 1.5 hours for someone to answer, then he must have had it on speaker or Bluetooth and I couldn't hear anything he was saying! It sounded like he was doing something else as he was talking, loud and very unprofessional!

RIP OFF

THESE PEOPLE ARE A RIP OFF... MY HUSBAND WAS INSIDE AND THEY RATES TO TOALK TO HIM CHANGED ALL THE TIME. I WAS TOLD THAT HE WOULD HAVE A DEBIT LINK ACCOUNT SO I SET UP IT ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THE AREA HE WAS BEING HELD IN DID NOT HAVE IT AND THEN I WAS TOL DHE WOULD GET THE MOENY WHEN HE WAS RELEASED WELL THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. THEN I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE I WOULD HAVE TO PUT INA REFUND REQUEST AND SHOW MY BANK STAEMENT SO I DID THAT... THEN I WAS TOLD THAT ANYTHING OVER 90 DAYS THAT IS NOT USED IS NOT REFUNDED... WHAT A F*&^#N RIP OFF...

Outright Thievery

These are people who were too lazy to start a real business, so have decided to become parasites off the prison-industrial complex. I submitted a Christmas payment to my incarcerated loved on, and the screen froze right as I was about to 'pay' and I received no payment confirmation, and no confirmation email, so I submitted the payment again, and received a confirmation. Then, I received another confirmation and found out I had paid twice. When I tried calling customer service, they were unsympathetic and said there was a "no-refund" policy, which I don't think should covers faulty website service that leads to accidental double-payment. All I wanted was the second payment refunded, not the first. To all who use this service, if you get a frozen screen when you try to pay, wait an hour to make sure it didn't go through before paying a second time. I tried disputing this with my bank as fraud, and my bank agreed that this was a fradulent double-payment and would try to remove it, but I don't think my bank was succesful. Just because this company serves prisoners doesn't mean it shouldn't have to follow to the guidelines of the law, but I guess in reality that's exactly what happens. Dealing with this company in the free-world, you have all the rights of an inmate by default. Thanks Connect Network GTL, for treating me like an inmate and taking double my money because you can!

You guys should consider this pandemic crisis going on and No visitations to our loved one behind bars. Its so expensive just to talk to them! Atleast do something to help families affected by this pandemic! And not being able to see them for a long time! This is a torture and abuse!

I authorized a $25 payment from Connect Network for an inmate with my debit card. They took the money out twice for the Pin Debit. I also authorized $25 + the required service charge for the trust fund for the same inmate. That went through fine. I called and asked for their mistake to be corrected. They told me no. What recourse do I have? They tell me none.
