Website needs more search options to narrow down the bookings such as baggage allowances and there are certain itineraries that they offer you but that only give you one hour in a major airport to transfer from national to international terminals or go through customs and immigration which it is not enough time. You need to be extremely careful that you do not book a trip with connecting flights were there isn't enough time to do all of the necessary customs, immigration, security controls or even to allow enough time to get water, food or a bathroom break.
Overall, it was good. Did not like the fact that you have to pay separately for sets etc. In my opinion, the listed price should include all fees and seating prices, etc. It kind of deception to the general public that the prices listed are just the base price.
I booked a flight in February for Christmas time. In June they told me the flights i had booked were cancelled even though the 3 other people i was travelling with flights were still confirmed. I spent the last 4 months trying to get other flight options to finally get an email saying my whole flight was cancelled. I went to call to enquire about a refund and while on hold i see i had completely new flights that were confirmed. I decided to just go with it to still go on the trip. 3 days later i get an email from cheapoair that the original flight i was on the time of it changed reminder they cancelled this flight on me 4 months ago. So this was a red flag. 30 minutes later i get an email that the new verified flight option i ended up with was now also cancelled. This company is US and i'm In Canada and am charged hundred's of dollars to sit on hold while i wait for any sort of help. Their chat feature is useless as its all machine people. I requested a refund and was told i wasn't eligible. And i continue to try and get some answers and get hung up on or the machine just stops replying to the chats. I paid over $6000 just for my flights and dealing with them has been a complete nightmare. I'm still unsure if i will get any of my money back because the minute you ask they quit answering you. I wouldn't suggest this company to my worst enemy!

I paid for a specific seat on my outgoing flight. When doing the pre-book, the airline shows I don't have a seat and I need to pay for a new seat. When contacting you, I get no help and am just told to go to the airline page and follow their instructions to book a seat

Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
