Easy to book flights, best prices that I could find in all the cheap airline sites.
I booked a flight in November of 2021 and then due to family getting Covid, we couldn't go. I spoke to a Cheapoair rep and was told I could use the credit to take another flight as long as I booked it within a year. 10 phone calls later, and numerous talks with supervisor and they're telling me I have no credit and lost the $1000 I paid. My next recourse will be to file a complaint with the Department of Transportation.
The customer service is not US based and they don't give a crap about wasting my hard earned American dollars.

I found a cheaper flight very quickly! It's nice that they show a variety of options and airlines.
Your seating assignment is confusing. Asking passengers to pay for seats only increases a flight price I want to keep low.

Costly to make minor changes. A msg stated pick a seat. I am flying economy (where it is impossible to tie a shoe) I pick a seat and am notified an economy seat change is $40+ for the same tiny seat and I have no option to cancel? Frustrating
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
