CheapFareGuru is a rip off! The purposely hide information as you are booking. When I did an online chat to change my ticket - the person kept begin evasive about the cost. I had to ask 3 times in ALL CAPS. I went to Priceline and got a good deal without the fear of being scammed. HORRIBLE COMPANY!
We bought tickets last year to Texas. We bought the insurance that if we had to cancel we could be refunded. We had to cancel due to COVID as our employers would not let us travel out of state. They would not give a refund and gave us partial credit. We had to use it by December of this year. I called yesterday to flight in October. I still had to pay over $500 more to fly to a different part of Texas. They sent an email to confirm the charge. I replied that the charge was correct. However didn't notice until the next morning they had the dates as February not October like I had requested. I called right away to fix the dates. The guy was very rude. He refused to let me talk to a supervisor. We ended up paying another $222 because if their mistake. We will NEVER use them again! Very poor service!
This company is a crook the flights are the same price as direct thru the airlines they are rude, dont speak english and unauthorised charges if airline changes your flight for free they charge you $75 they are a very bad company dont do business!
The Struggle continues. Two months ago I was left stranded without a ticket and had to purchase a different one directly from the airline after their incompetency. I finally got a refund offer from their rescheduling department (which was minuscule and they charge a $50 processing fee on top of everything else as per their policy). They informed me on July 15th that my refund was processed and they charged my credit card the processing fee. They also informed me that I would receive the refund in 2-4 weeks. It's been roughly 6 weeks and I've checked with my bank on several occasions but nothing has been refunded. I've never experienced such incompetency and would like this resolved as soon as possible so that I never have to deal with Gurufare again. Do yourself a favor and book directly with the airline or using a well known credible online travel booking engine.

They sold me ticket form Orlando FL to London with British airways. I arrived two hours before flight to find out that British airways closed their counter some time ago and they are not operating off Orlando. I went to security of the Orlando airport who run some staff on computer and told me that this is fraud. There was no fligts from Orlando to London that day ever scheduled even with other carriers. I called d customer service they told me to call airline and hang up the phone. DO NOT EVER USE THIS PEOPLE they apparently operating from outside USA and they pray on money creating fake reservations
Charged me $400 for a re-issue fee when my tickets were never re-issued per United Airlines. The departure time changed slightly on travel day but nothing else changed. $400 for a 30 min departure change? DONT USE THIS SITE!
They changed my flight time, supposedly initiated by the airline. Was told I had to pay $50 or my ticket would be cancelled. Contacted the airline directly and was informed they did not charge the agency. Cheap guru initiated the charge to me. I was stuck if I wanted to travel!

The Airline changed the time of departure for our return flight and CheapFareGuru charged me $50 per person for a Re-issue/Re-validation fee. OUTRAGEOUS... I didn't make the change, the airline made the change. When I called CheapFareGuru I asked for a supervisor, was told none was available, and that a supervisor would call me within the hour... never heard from CheapFareGuru. CheapFareGuru Agency Booking ID: *******626. Horrible company SCAM, HIDDEN FEES! I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND I'M REPORTING THIS TO MY BANK AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL!
Worst place I've ever booked through! To start I booked my tickets and never was told they would hold 3x the amount of my tickets for over a week. Then go to cancel during the time frame they gave and the customer service is plain awful. They are rude dont care to help and always say they will call back and never recieve the call back. They still have yet to help with my cancelation after multiple calls to multiple different people. I've tried to get ahold of the manager and they once again say they will call back. Worst service ever would never recommend to anyone
Went online to book tickets and found what I thought was a great deal. As soon as I hit submit they called to tell me the flights I wanted were not available and they needed to change my flights. After going around and round I said cancel everything and don't charge me anything. Not two minutes later another person called and stated they could get me the flights I wanted for no extra charges. To many red flags for me. So many bad reviews after I started looking I requested my CC Company close my card and send me a new one.
I called four times in one day, each call has an average wait time of 50 minutes. I could not tried to cancel a flight I had booked within their 24 hour guaranteed cancelation policy, and they told me I had not purchased a ticket, but changed a ticket. Therefor, I did not fall under there returns policy. When I asked to speak with a manager, or to be transferred to someone else, he said they didn't have anyone else for me to talk to.
I am asking everyone who got trapped with CheapFareGuru to come forward for a Class Action Lawsuit,

CheapFareGuru kept me eating to get the confirmation #! I had to call them many times to get the confirmation and pay extra $100 plus $40 from the original fare we agreed upon!

I made travel reservations with them in March for trip I was taking in June. The airline's made several small changes three times while waiting for my flights. Each time the airline's changed the departure or arrival times they charged me $50, $25 per ticket. After spending hours on the phone and on emails they told me there was nothing they could do as that was their policy. So any money I saved quickly disappeared from there silly charges. I finally had to cancel my credit card so they could not charge me anymore in case the airline changed my flight status. If they do tell you there's a change in your flights do not respond to it. Just call the airline and confirm you have a reservation with them.
I bought 2 roundtrip flight tickets in Dec 2019 with traveling insurance(booking ID *******982), the returning flight tickets (Apr 2020) were cancelled by the carrier due to Covid 19. So I called, and the agent told me he would put the balance as a voucher so i can use to place other tickets later on Cheapfareguru. I waited and wait for months yet no such email of vouchers were sent to me.
So I called several times again, and was told to wait. Until October 2020, an agent called me, and said that he would initiate a request for the refund back to my credit card, but he would need a fee of $150/ticket(?). After that long wait, i just want my money back and get it over with, so I agree to his suggestion and let him charge my account. Agent said I should have receive my refund back in 4- 6 weeks. Well, guess what, his supplemental charge ($300) happened immediately, yet my refund was nowhere in sign.
As of today, May 2021, after countless calls, emails, website support form... I still don't get my refund, and they avoiding. Keep getting the "We're sorry for your inconvenience and We'll look into it".
So on total i suffer a lost of $1000 (for 2 returning tickets), and $300(for the additional charge to get the $1000 refund to my cc).
This company is a rip-off.
I booked 5 tickets for my family 5 days ago. Needed to cancel the flight because of the high risk covid19 in the destination we were going to. I told them to refund me they first said for each ticket cancelation fee is $320 the they said there is $100 upfront fee which will be refunded. After 20 minutes they again said $100 is not refundable.
They are trying to eat others money without no reason. I book flight and I paid for it. But when I don't need it anymore you should refund the money.
At last, I talked with the supervisor and he directly said ticket is not refundable at all. That mean he will take all the money for the 5 tickets. They are thieves. DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THEM. They did not refund my single Penney.
Called at least 10 times. When mentioned a refund, all representatives hung up.
The only way to deal with these monsters is to fight back.
I purchased round trip ticket from cheat air guru. Two days before flight was sent a email flight was rescheduled for two hours later. Charged my credit card 50 dollars for ticket change that they did. Charged on credit card without my knowledge or consent. Contacted cheat air guru and was told there was nothing I could do that they already had the money. Was told to book future flights elsewhere if I did not like it.
I was foolish to look no further than the first review. I was told I could cancel anytime before May 1st... not so. The worst was when the Airline changed the time of departure, CheapFareGuru charged me $50. Outrageous... I didn't make the change. When I called I spoke to a woman I could hardly understand her, I asked for her supervisor she said he was not available, that he would call me within the hour... never heard from him.
It's been a nightmare... I just hope my ticket is legitimate. I'm disgusted... they should be put out of business.
