I was overcharged on my credit card by MORE than $100. I have contacted customer service for this issue to be resolved, and spoke every time with someone who had NO idea how to fix or deal with the issue. Everyone gave me a different excuse- billing issues,"breech"? In their system, escalation as they weren't sure how to deal with it. Various replies included- you will be contacted by a supervisor within 24 hours/the issue will be resolved on your credit card within 2-3 business days. It has now been A WEEK. I received an email 3 days ago, the email assured me that the money would be back in my account within 2-3 business days. That brings us to today. They money WAS NOT back in my account. So, today I called them again for the 5th time, very irate. I demanded to speak to a supervisor. Apparently they DON'T have supervisors available to talk to customers. She assured me one would contact me within the next few hours. Instead of getting that phone call that I was PROMISED, I received ANOTHER email. This email said that there was an issue with their system, but that the money this time will be back in my account within 5-7 business days. Now, we are looking at a full other week of dealing with this issue, with no absolute promise or guarantee I am going to get my money back, and I feel like I have been robbed by what I expected and thought was a very reputable company. I feel like NEVER doing business with them again, and I wanted to make sure EVERYONE was made aware of how they prioritize and value their customers.

I read a lot of manga and they never really have what I'm looking for, however they do have 50+ copies of one series for no reason. If you're like me and love to read manga, just order them on amazon, Indigo is the worst to even order through. I ordered a bunch of book that's coming from the UK somewhere, along with others that came from somewhere closer, I wanted to wait so I can go get all of them at the same time, but no. After 15 days of waiting they sent half of them back and some haven't even arrived the first time. Oh and their website is awful. They might say they have a book in store but no. Even if they say you can order it, nope. They'll just email after they charge you and say "we actually dont have your book"
Time to picket in front of there stores liberal haters of freedom they forget we are the majority Trudeau is the minority stop shopping here
I will never shop here again, Indigo decided not to stock a bestselling book on the freedom convoy in Ottawa, terrible precedent for a bookstore.
Available in all stores, as per their website. Many have photographed display racks in plain site of doors. Unless you're okay with the perverse indoctrination of our children that is sweeping this nation, I strongly advise you reconsider supporting Chapters-Indigo and also give some consideration to homeschooling your kids too (if you aren't aware, you need to ask for a copy of the sex curriculum being presented to elementary school aged kids)! Enough is enough! I'm disgusted and disappointed to say the least.
I decided to order something for my daughter's birthday from Indigo, since I had a gift card from there. The items I wanted were available for pick up from a store nearby, and the order said that I could pick up the very next day. I was really impressed with that and decided to order another item, and was told I could pick up the two orders at the same time. I was waiting for a confirmation email to pick up my order. After many hours of waiting I received a couple of egift cards from them for the exact amount that I spent on my orders. I was baffled and checked my order status, and it said that my order was cancelled, with absolutely no explanation whatsoever. I had to call customer service to find out why my order was cancelled, and after a lot of digging she said that the store did not have the said item in stock, and I should try and order it to ship to my home. I decided to give them another chance and proceeded to place another order. This time it wouldn't let me order at all, only a message kept popping up saying something was wrong with my order. I don't understand why they have a website at all. Totally frustrated with these guys. I have to throw my 75$ gift card in the trash because I am never dealing with these people again.
I was a bit shocked Mein Kampf is back on their shelves, at Indigo, as they had banned it and pulled from their shelves in 2001. Spreading hatred, in word, in action, or in print is NOT protected speech in Canada. So when will anyone be taking action against Dr Peterson, who is a danger to society?

My first time purchasing from this store and I don't think I will ever again. I purchased 2 Fisher-price deluxe infant rocker. I was so happy to receive my order but after opening the boxes I was so disappointed. One of the rocker was used to the point where the Fisher-price name was coming off.
I thought I'd give Indigo another chance as I want to support individual companies rather than the Amazon monopoly. However, I have been waiting since December 25,2021 for a book that was apparently shipped December 29th. I have phoned the store that it was being shipped to twice now and they know nothing. It's Feb. 8th, 2022. Similar problem in May 2021 but thought I would give this company another chance. I asked for a refund today, hopefully no problems with that. Small family businesses have better online service than Chapters/Indigo. Never again. What a waste of time!
Bought an item on November 30. Received email stating item had arrived. It had not. I contacted the delivery company and they said they had not received the item from Indigo/Chapters. The tracking for the item says Unknown. I emailed and never received a response. It has been almost 7 weeks since the original order was placed. Straight up theft.
Ordered 3 books said they would be delivered Dec 23. Didn't happen. I filed a problem report and they told me the order had been "lost" and one book was no longer available so I had to process a refund and reorder the two books that are still available. The customer service against had changed my order to "complete and shipped" so my only option was to ask for a return and they sent me a label to return nonexistent books. Total nightmare mess.
I pre-ordered a book that was delayed in shipping, and when I tried to speak with support about this, they kept saying they'd help with no results! Eventually had to cancel my order after weeks with no resolution! What's the point in pre-ordering if nothing gets done to actually deliver the item?! Horrible customer service, will be going elsewhere!
Ordered 2 books Nov 17. Today Dec 19, get a notice from indigo saying not available. I month later, a week before Christmas they discover no stock.
Inferior service.

11/9 - I ordered a board game.
11/13 - I received a shipping notice for delivery on 12/6.
11/19 - I checked the package tracking just to see where it was in its journey. The tracking number was invalid. I emailed customer service to inquire.
11/22 - Jovanne in customer service emailed me that the package had been lost and asked if I wanted a replacement or a refund. I asked for a replacement on Nov 22. Later on Nov 22, I received another email from Jumaine in customer service that said someone in order support would contact me in 3-5 business days. There was no acknowledgement of my request for a replacement game.
11/23 - I replied to Jumaine stating that I had already requested a replacement. No response.
11/26 - I replied to the same email asking for a status since I had heard from no one. No response.
11/28 - I asked for a refund as I had since ordered the board game from a different vendor. No response to my request for a refund.
11/29 - I used the live chat feature to talk to Tyrese. I provided all the above information. Chat transcript with Tyrese: Thanks so much for holding. Not to worry I will process the refund for you right now.

12/7 - Responded to email request for feedback on my purchase satisfaction using link in email from Indigo. Pasted above text into comment box and asked again for refund to be processed immediately. No response.
I preordered a book "the real Anthony Fauci" 2 months before it was to be released. The date indigo promised to have it delivered was on my birthday. I was waiting for this book for months! The date came and … no book. I got a hold of them online and they told me they are out of stock. I had to argue with them that I preordered it 2 months in advance. Then they say I didn't pay. I showed them my receipt of payment (that they send me in an email when I preordered it) and the payment that came out of my bank statement. They just ignored me and still haven't even gotten back to me nearly a week after I gave them my proof of purchase.
Now I'm just wondering what to do.
Never using them again but I'm going to get my copy of this book from them, even if I have to go into chapters and walk out with it, causing a scene.
I was really upset to heard that my advent calendar was broken and Indigo nor the delivery company notified me. After waiting a couple of days, I decided to check where my item was because Indigo sent me an email saying my item was out for delivery but never got here... Went I checked the status of my parcel it said that my item had been damaged and was being sent back to the sender.
I called Indigo because the didn't notify me and they promise they would send me another and they would scalated so I'd get my parcel much faster since it was already late.
2 days later I'm still waiting and I never got an email confirming the scalation, so I called again only to be told that indigo lied to me and never scalated my item, so I don't know when I'm going to get or if I will be getting it. The second agent I spoke with didn't offer me much options only than to wait because if I scalated now, it'd be too late and I'd only be getting it at the same time as if I didn't scalated. I'm quite upset to know that there's nothing to do and that at this point, because I've been lied to, I'm not even sure that I'll be getting my item and I'm going to have to call them again and this has just become a whole nightmare. I will not purchase online items from indigo no more.
I'm really dessapoinmet in knowing that Indigo lied to me and they are making this online purchase so difficult. This item is very important to me and I'd have expected that Indigo would treat their customers better.
I tried many ways to obtain a gift receipt at Indigo for the purchase of a Christmas present. I was told they do not give gift receipts, only invoices. This is totally unsatisfactory.
My husband and I tried to visit Indigo today, wearing a face covering. They insisted on a certain kind of face covering and would not let my husband in as he was wearing a bandana, instead of a cloth mask. I also know that they do not honour mask exceptions, a violation of human rights, for those that are medically exempt. I will go out of my way NOT to shop with them ever again.
I just wanted to make sure that you know about the service I received from Dustin on June 24th, last week.
Everyone was lovely and friendly but Dustin helped me out a couple of times. He told me where to go to get the book I wanted and when I couldn't place it, he came to my rescue again without making me feel stupid or was wasting his time. Then I got lucky again when he came to the sales counter desk to help out. He was just as nice and professional as before. Thank you Dustin. You are a definite asset to the Chapters' staff. I hope we meet again.
