I ordered a book for me daughter and thought it was going to be had but it's the best!
Ordered Wayne Gretzky's new book 99 Stories of the Game autographed version and got autopen garbage. Returned all 10 books for refund (still processing), wrote a review on my dissatisfaction and they took it down. What a scam! Never ordering again from therm!
Placed an order and was charged on September 30,2016 with the promise of receiving my order by October 6,2016.
I did not receive a confirmation email with my order information. Finally, today (October 8th, 2016), after not receiving communication back via Facebook, emails, or Twitter, I called and was put on hold for almost 30 minutes (I doubt they are really that busy).
Finally, when I talked to someone, she apologized and said that the warehouse had been having issues. Really? That's your excuse?
I needed the items for a birthday and now I won't be receiving them in time. I should have been given more than an apology. I should have been offered a refund or credit.
I will not be purchasing from the website ever again.
"Island Girl: A Triumph of the Spirit" is an amazing book of young girl from a small province. Her struggles with growing up with a father who drank, sexual abuse, becoming a representative of your country as a Beauty Queen at a very young age... trying to figure out who you are as a person and what is your purpose in life. I think a lot of people can relate to this young girl's story. Then and now. If you have an opportunity to read this awesome story, please pick up a copy of this book, you will not be disappointed. Norma's faith in our Heavenly Father has given her the strength and guidance to do the work she is doing today as a motivational speaker, a conference planner, and a leader of women's Bible study groups.

I've recently became a very frequent online shopper and even though Amazon is sometimes cheaper, with the occasional online discounts, and the various Reward events (like 5-10X the Plum Points) I think it evens out. There's also a pretty decent selection of the books I'm interested in (mainly Manga, YA books, and some Comics).
They generally, especially in the past year, do a very good job with packaging. I also get my books on average within 2-4 business days of ordering them, and I always choose the "Free Shipping" option. It's definitely not perfect though, as I end up returning about 15% of my orders due to damage, but to be fair over 10% of that is usually small stuff (slightly tattered edges/spines as oppose to warping/bent pages) as I am quite anal about the condition of my books. Overall I'd have to say that the wide range of payment options and Reward opportunities is what keeps me coming back.
I always have a good experience shopping at Chapters in store. Online however is a different story. I placed an order for a box book set and a few other online on December 29th. I noticed that the product was shipped to the wrong address and the item was on its way back to the warehouse. I put in a request for a refund for the order but I did not receive my refund. I used paypal to purchase and i keep on getting told to wait until it is processed then wait 5 business days after it is processed. It is now nearly April and I am still waiting. All I keep getting is generic answers. I spent nearly 80 for no product. It basically feels like I handed my money to them for nothing in return.
Have bought from here several times. Always fast delivery, usually able to get free shipping, and prices are comparable to other e-tailers. Better prices online than in store usually.
I love using this website for ordering all of my books. I find that there is almost always a better discount if I shop online as apposed to the Coles located in my town. The free shipping for orders over $25 comes in handy since I don't have to actually pay full price on any book I am purchasing.
The only problem I have ever had with the website was the search tool, I find that sometimes it doesn't give you relevant results at all.
Chapters always has fantastic deals, many times better on the website than in-store. They have free shipping (at least to Canada) on orders of $25 or better. Their reward program works both in-store and online as well. Shipping is always super-quick, even during the holiday season. I've shopped with them for 5+ years and have yet to have an issue.
MISLEADING GIFT CARDS
Don't be fooled into thinking this is your average print and walk in to the store 'gift card' because it is not. You won't see anything posted to that effect before you checkout either. The recipient of your well thought of gift card can ONLY USE THIS GIFT CARD ONLINE.
Here's what happened. Mom lives in a town where there is no Chapters/Indigo but there is a Coles. Google a Coles Gift Card and you are brought to Chapters (wonder why). You see ONLINE Gift Card for $50 dollars, you think "hey that's great. And soooooo easy." But then, Mom calls and thanks you for it until she goes to Coles and they say, "uh... sorry, we don't honour those as they are for online purchases only".
Then Mom gets the good news! THE SHIPPING COST IS GREATER THAN THE 50 DOLLAR GIFT CERTIFICATE.
Can you say had, taken, scammed... that's right... they "f" you at the drive thru.
As I made this purchase I read all the info THEY wanted me to read at the time of purchase and nowhere on the purchase pages is any of this made clear to the buyer. They take advantage of the 'buyer be-ware' clause. Fooled ya! Now, let's see you try and get your money back from them. Another case of a bully conglomerate using it's influence and might to stick it to the average unsuspecting shopper.
Answer: You say "add to cart" and a botoom screen should appear that let's you checkout.
