When I took my car to Pep Boys for an issue with a front end sporadic vibration, they found three problems that needed attention. They took pictures and contacted Car Shield. I did not have to do anything more. The work was done very well and in a timely manner, and I only had to pay my deductible (which saved me many dollars).

Did not cover pressure test! Then needed the diagnostic would not cover it either. Need an engine should have been a $500 deductible would not pay one cent. Had it towed from my house car started giving me trouble 4 blocks from home accused me of driving so won't pay. Starts fine no signs when starting. It lost coolant after I got home never smelled hot or overheated. Guess the thermostat stuck closed caused whatever happened. They just don't want to honor. Don't understand any circumstances get car shield!

Took in my RAM 1500 for a cracked manifold to a certified RAM dealer listed on the Carshield website, had it there 2 days and get a call from them to verify the exhaust manifolds were cracked and needed repairs and gasket replacement, OK I said no issues, I have CARSHIELD extended warranty package which will cover it other than my deductible of $250 I get a call on day 3 of process telling me Sir, we no longer take that extended warranty any longer! WHAT I said, why not? SIR they don't pay for all of the repairs, only some of it and we have to wait forever to get paid! Much to my dismay, I had to go pick it up call Carshield, take it to another dealer who did take it and wait a week and got it down finally, although I was assuming I only paid a $250 deductible, the service tech told me the warranty only pays for certain things needed and not others! Once again more bad news, bottom-line is I had to pay the $250 and an additional $250 for parts not covered in a manifold exchange repair So the warranty is not what I was understanding it to be and now I am considering my options as to stay with them or switching to another warranty company that covers repairs in full

When my car would not start I had no choice but to call on Car Shield for assistance. They were in contact with me within minutes. The driver called and told me he would be there in 20 minutes and he was. He was very courteous and told me I could go and relax, he was able to proceed without me and so I did.

My experience did not go well. This is one week away from being two months that my truck has been in the shop. There were many unnecessary obstacles that could have been avoided which ended up costing me more.
