None of the problems were covered, also knew we needed a rental, was waiting to see if was covered so we couldn't use the car rental through our policy, because of having to call before we knew what was going on with the automobile.

Went to drop off my wife's sister at their home on the way back stop by the mailbox. I shut the truck off so I could open the mailbox when I notice I couldn't get the key off. I tried to turn on the truck, but it won't turn on I was unsure why it won't turn on I had just purchased a new battery. I gentleman came to assist me ask me to open the hood in which I did found the positive pole had a lot of acid around it. I clean it up and it turn on, but when I shut the truck off the key won't come out. I tried everything in my knowledge to remove the key by adjusting the Park, but it still wouldn't come out. I called Car Shield and spoke to Jennel she asked for my contract number, but I didn't have it on me. With few questions she able to verify that that it was me; she asked me to drive the vehicle home, and if wanted a tow truck. I said No the truck is drivable. She gave to different auto centers I could take my vehicle to Caliber Auto on Alamo Parkway, but then she mentions there was a closer Caliber Auto on Potranco Road where I live. That evening I fell to sleep, and my wife went to the truck, because her nephew told her what to do and she was able to remove the key out of the ignition. When I woke up about 10:00 pm she told me she had pulled the key out of the ignition, and push it in to start the truck, and the ignition released the key. I told her that's why I have Car Shield for these types of occurrences. Since then, the key ignition has been working fine. All I can say is that Car Shield was there for me, and Jennel was an excellent representative of Car Shield was very professional and out of her way to help me with my problem.

I have 2 vehicles with Car Shield and last year the cost was 69.99 for each. This year the cos on one went up to 119.00. Why such a large increase?

Not good I'm canceling my car shield account. They lie about everything! And told the mechanic to use old parts, and basically give me a rig job. So not satisfied!

I had to keep calling because they said they were unable to read my attachments. Finally after calling they said they were able to read them + weren't sure why I was getting that response.

My vehicle has been at the repair shop for almost 3 weeks awaiting an authorization to begin the repairs and be reimbursed for the rental that I need.
We do apologize you feel this way. We at CarShield have little to no control over the claims, shop process, or the administrators' decision. We are, however, always willing to explain the coverage details or help you with any of your Customer Service needs.
I don't have experience with the service because I had purchased an extended warranty through my dealer and forgotten about it. My experience was with the representative who took care of refunding my money on my second call because the first representative had not done it as she stated that she did.
It's always nice to get people who know what they're doing rather than guessing.

I took my car into the shop for an oil change and tire rotation. They found my serpentine belt was badly frayed. It needs to be replaced. Car shield does not cover it unless it was caused by other than wear and tare.
