Customer service is the best
It was a phone call only needed my card and requirements for use of the program.
The person on the other was helpful, respectful and fun to chat with.
I was told on the phone that the air compressor was covered and that I could send on the invoice. Then another person told me after I called to send the invoice that I was not covered.

Car Shield has helped me save money on at least two car repairs over the past year, including a new starter and then a cracked fusebox. My repair shop said Car Shield was one of the easier warranty compaines they have dealt with and my car is running much smoother and much more dependable now thanks in large part to my warranty with Car Shield.

I sent my vehicle in for a specific problem and that problem was quickly resolved, however the mechanic discovered another non related issue upon completing his vehicle safety check and contacted CarShield whom quickly approved the repairs and shipped the parts.
The representatives are always friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and patient.
I have the Platinum Coverage Plan. When my transmission failed the vehicle was taken to the dealership for repairs. CarShield would only cover a little over half of the repair bill. I was still out over $3,800.00. This is the only vehicle I own and when I rented a vehicle on the day the transmission failed CarShield would not help with the rental because the repairs had not been approved. I guess I was supposed to walk 50 miles to my house and then be foot bound for over two weeks. It was 8 days before the repairs were approved (at half price mind you) and then they would only cover partial rental for 14 days starting from the time of the breakdown. They wouldn't pick up rental cost after repairs were approved because I had already rented the vehicle. I had to wait on a partial reimbursement for over two weeks and I had to rent the vehicle a total of twenty four days. I am not trying to sway or change anyones opinion on purchasing Car Shield as a 3rd party insurance company but in my opinion it is a JOKE and SCAM.
A Car Shield representative was supposed to contact me when the repairs had been approved and I did not receive any communication from them. The repair facility called me and told me how much out of pocket I owed. I was floored.
I love his open honest and direct communication. He answered questions I didn't necessarily ask but needed to know and understand and gave me information I could use later on to make things more easy and convenient for me or that could save me time and money.
