The shop contacted Carsheild. I received an email with an approval number and the amount covered. My vehicle was fixed within 3 hours.
RUN DO NOT USE THIS WARRANTY COMPANY! We have been waiting 5 days for an adjustor to get their act together. First, the adjustor says to inspect vehicle physically and then does not ever show up to inspect. Second, the adjustor says they need written documentation and then once the repair shop sent it, no response from adjustor. Third, adjustor said they need pictures and the repair shop quickly send all pictures. Again, the adjustor does not respond and we get told on 3/1/24 that pictures are still needed. Then we call Car Shield and are told the adjustor had the pictures and documentation on 3/1/24 BUT has 48 hours to review the information and approve the claim or request additional information (again). No rental car can be obtained under this contract until the adjustor approves the claim. WHY do we pay our premiums on time to get the run around? Car Shield customer service reps give a long list of excuses from "cannot see what the adjustor is doing" to "the system has been having glitches" to "well there is still 4 working day hours left for the adjustor to review the claim and respond". This is a HORRIBLE COMPANY - DO NOT USE THEM! Just waiting for the adjustor say "the differential is not covered" when the contract says it is due to normal wear and tear - which is why it failed.

I didn't have any problems after talking with the representative at car shield I didn't have any problem. She told me what to do and they communicated with the repair technician and I didn't have any problems
3 weeks after dropping off my car my mechanic says he's still received no parts. No one told me a thing. They're also willing to pay less than half the labor and won't pay for a safety issue.
From the time the claim started to getting my car back i had to keep calling to see what was being done contact from car shield it took over a month or close to a month to get my car back and with out a car i lost a hundred dollars a day out of pocket i know if our policy does't give a rental they should try to get our vehicle back as soon as they can
It was easy to cancel one of my vehicles, however, the things I need done on my vehicle right now is not covered. Which makes me feel like maybe I don't need it at all if I have to pay $2000+ out of my own pocket to pay for things I need done on my vehicle right now on top of pay my monthly payment to Carshield. So I am seriously consider canceling my policy.
I appreciated the service I received from Car Shield (American Auto Shield). I had to pay a little extra than the deductible and the length of time was a little long, but everything else was GREAT! Thank you So Much Car Shield for you professionalism in taking care and replacing my transmission.

My overall experience working with the representatives has been great. Each time I've had a question or had to contact them, they provided me the help I needed.
My alternator was bad on my 2011 Cadillac SRX so the car repair dealer called Car Shield to file a claim for me. The dealer was told that Car Shield was going to furnish the new alternator. The new alternator was delivered 4 days later, but it was supposed to have been overnight express mail to the repair dealer.
I was really stressed out for the delay because we were scheduled to leave for Florida for an important appointment. The repair dealer said the Car Shield Claim representative never gave them a chance to match, or beat, the price of the new replacement alternator. They had a new alternator in stock for our car. For this incident, we are somewhat disappointed in the way the first claim we had was handled. I did talk with Car Shield's representative, but we never discussed what the repair dealer offered for the new alternator.
Don't get want pay i thought day was good. Took my car to shop & they said it was the motor & they said no to the claim.I did everything I suppose 2 do. And they did not pay. They told me that the timing belt had to hit the motor. A lot of bull. & I still had to pay the man that checked the car
I was intending to cancel coverage due to excessive cost, the gal offered a 33% discount, so w am hanging in there for a little longer.
